Hope to be able to bring my 4 DC to weymouth in the half term hols. Its about 1hr train ride from me and we have done it before!
Thought it might be nice to meet some MNers on the beach(or somewhere else). [nervous emoticon]

Anyone interested?

quicker to walk

Imawurzel · 27/05/2007 14:06

Fair enough.

tortoise · 27/05/2007 20:18

Hi.
I am hoping to get the 9.18 (I think) train so i would be in Weymouth by 10.30ish. If not its the 10.20 train getting in at 11.30 ish. I thought the earlier i get there the better because we can have a wander around before meeting up.
I hope the weather isn't too bad! I am going to have a look at the links now. Not sure how much money i will have yet. Need to check the bank. It will be about £20 for the train!

The forte looks good. I think DS's would enjoy that. Soft play will probably be very busy. Sealife will work out very expensive with 4 kids.

I hadn't even thought about clothes! I don't have many decent things to wear. Jeans and some top or other i expect. And my pink raincoat.

I do hae a oucher though for 2 children to get in free, and can get another from mum so we'd just hae to pay for adults at sealife

tortoise · 27/05/2007 21:05

We went to the sealife centre last summer so mine may not be very interested in going again this year.Especially the older two! Otherwise i really don't mind where we go. Will just be nice to meet up with some new people.

Fantastic weather today.
Shall we finalise tomorrow?

Imawurzel · 29/05/2007 19:06

I am a yes.
I may be the one wandering past 3 or 4 times trying to pluck the courage to come over and say 'hi, it's wurz'
A friend may be coming along too, not sure yet. She has a 3 yr old girl. yet again she may not.

tortoise · 29/05/2007 20:07

I am looking forward to tomorrow and so are DC. Shame it wasn't today we were meeting up. Fingers crossed for dry spells tomorrow.

I have a buggy coming tonight from a kind freecycler so i won't need you to bring one now BB . Saves a lot of hastle.

One little warning . I found 2 headlice on ds1 tonight. I prefer to warn people, i hope you don't mind! Some people get very funny about them.

I think we will be getting the 9.18 train in to make the most of the day.

burstingbug · 29/05/2007 21:14

No worries with the hair critters

tortoise · 29/05/2007 21:20

Dry all day here too. Been a lovely day.

burstingbug · 29/05/2007 21:29

Right, 12.45 at the statue then?
Are you bringing food to save costs, or buying? (just so I know whether to make sarnies up)
I'm debating single or double pushchair.
I forgot to call the Nothe

tortoise · 29/05/2007 21:35

Yep sounds about right.
I have packed crisps and one drink each but no sarnies. Will buy them at the shop you said about. My friend said Aldi is right by the station so will probably pop in there for some cheap cartons of drink.
I think i have packed all we will/might need! Have sun cream, hats, shorts for paddling, clean tops in case needed, crayons and book for train ride, crisps, drinks, my sun glasses, DD2's dummy (just in case she needs it!), my inhalor,
Um anything else i have forgotten?? Told you i need a large suitcase with my lot!
