Thought it might be nice to meet some MNers on the beach(or somewhere else). [nervous emoticon]

yup, roll shop
fingers crossed indeed. It's nice here atm

tortoise · 23/05/2007 22:43

Sounds good. (as long as they do plain ones, dd's are fussy!) that will be one less thing to bring! Need a suitcase or spare clothes for my lot.they are bound to get wet.

OP posts:
burstingbug · 23/05/2007 22:52

lol @ suitcase
yes, they do sloppy mixes as well as plain ham, chicken cheese etc if thats what you mean

tortoise · 23/05/2007 22:57

Plain cheese will be fine for DD's!
I am looking forward to it now but nervous. I don't find it easy to make friends or meet new peeps.

If i did manage to get the afternoon off i prob wont be there till after 1, or whenever train gets in.I know it leaves dorch at 10 to the hour, or it used to.
It's a 25 minute walk home from work then i've gotta get changed and a 5 -10 min walk to station.
i'd prob have to go in early like 8 work til 12 and owe him the 5 hours left.
or he could just not pay me for one of the 5 hr overtime shifts i've done this month.
forgot he's off today, so will have to ask tomorrow. Will have to think of something good.
mum going to ottery st mary, wants me to come. Waiting for bed delivery, argos delivery. umm. I will think hard. ouch, that may hurt.

Imawurzel · 25/05/2007 07:45

I doubt if i'll be able to come now.
i tried getting some cash of my visa but im over my limit
And doubt if manager tosser would let me have day off anyway. Oh well. Theres always another day.

tortoise · 25/05/2007 17:42

Thats a shame wurzel. Maybe next time!

I chuckled at tortoise comment "Only how to get from train to beach"
yep thats straight out of the station and walk up the road and there it is all sandy and watery hehehe
As a long time weymouth holiday goer that made me LOL. sorry (I'm easily amused)

Have a super day folks. There is a lovely bakery in the town but only a few mins from beach. IT is very reasonable and lovely food. (kids love the gingerbread men, Have one for us )

MrsWeasley · 25/05/2007 18:58

you wont be able to miss the clock it right on the beach front. You will see it from the road from the station.

burstingbug · 25/05/2007 19:00

statue, then we can go straight in town for food etc. eating on the *each?
dare i mention wine? shall we ring some?

I'll hae my 2 oys

tortoise · 25/05/2007 19:03

MrsWeasley - glad i made you chuckle. I think i have walked around the town years and years ago before kids!

I don't drink wine but its fine if anyone else wants a drink. I will have squash for me and the dc i expect. Bottled drinks are too damn expensive.

OP posts:
tortoise · 25/05/2007 19:05

doesn't look good

OP posts:
burstingbug · 25/05/2007 19:05

wine was just a thought, squash is fine
a new ice cream shop has opened up, which does great ice creams y all accounts

tortoise · 25/05/2007 19:08

Oh DC will love that.

OP posts:
burstingbug · 25/05/2007 19:15

oh feck, just looked at your link.
If it is nasty outside, what do you fancy doing indoors?

tortoise · 25/05/2007 19:16

Well, probably predictably i have no idea what there is! (other than sea life but that's pricey!)

OP posts:
Imawurzel · 25/05/2007 19:19

Is that the place that had to have a liquer licence for rum & raisin ice cream??
Saw it in the echo. And that cake shop that had to rename her robin cakes cos there was no robins in it. How daft!!!!
Not sure what to do if its raining. I wont have anough money for going ££££ places.
Dh still doesn't know i'm actually coming. tee hee. [norty me.]
