ah ah mellow2. nice to see you!
how are things?

mellow2 · 11/05/2007 14:03

Busy. We're still working on getting the website ready.

How about you? Are you planning your move to Switzerland? Do they speak French or German predominantly in the part of Switzerland you're moving to?

Hi all, have been getting very involved with a Harry Potter thread .

Sfx - sounds like your friend is a wonderful person for everything he's tried to do/is doing. Shame that people wouldn't let him get on with it!

Mellow - is the website nearly finished or have you still got lots to do?

sfxmum · 11/05/2007 14:20

hi puds i am avoiding that thread but planning on re reading the series from the start in time for the new release. and i will seriously injure anyone who releases spoilers

mellow2 · 11/05/2007 14:41

It's nearly finished. But I'm not going to say when it will launch as the date keeps slipping.

Foxie and ele,
I remembered asking about MMR shots a while aback and you recommended a private clinic where I can get separate shots.

Can I have the information again please> I've just realised that her next jabs with the nurse is for MMR.

Which Harry Potter book is this new movie based on? Are you a big fan of Lords of the Rings, sfx?

I have to say that I enjoyed the moves for LotR than I did the Potter movies.

OP posts:
pudding77 · 11/05/2007 14:48

The new film is based on the 5th book, HP & the Order of the Pheonix. But the final book is out in July and there are some quite crazy theories flying around the thread about what's going to happen! Which is why I'm hooked of course!

Sfx - I guess we'll both be avoiding MN on the day of release until we've read it!

Mellow - I agree, the LOTR films were much better than the HP films, I love the books as well.

sfxmum · 11/05/2007 15:01

the LOTR were made, at all levels, by people who passionate about the books and it shows.

i haven't watched all the HP movies like i did not watch the 'series of unfortunate events' all those books much loved by my nephew.

kids movies are trickier to make i think, there is a goof @alice in Wonderland' and Matilda was quite good too.

and yes puds, most def avoiding people until the book is read and possibly also arranging childcare for the duration oh that is silly!

Paddlechick666 · 11/05/2007 16:33

hey foxie, is this what your elders were involved in?

mental 2 days at work, extreme kicking from bosses - somewhat unjustified mostly but to be fair a couple of valid points

mellow2 · 11/05/2007 16:36

My spelling is atrocious .

OP posts:
quokka · 11/05/2007 17:11

is everything ok pc?

foxcub · 11/05/2007 17:57

PC - yes - it was Greg and his colleague Caroline!!!

Mellow - we used Direct Health 2000 in Eltham (will try and do link later...) - but there is also a clinic near Ele in Sunbury

SFX - very interesting. A group called "Innocents in Danger" have claimed that the Portugese police are alligned with Paedophole rings which echos what your friends experience was. Don't forget that a few years ago Islington Care Homes were used by Paeds too - Margeret Hodge (now a Gov Minister) was leader of the council and blatantly covered the whole issue up so her council wouldn't get publicity. A friend of a friend was one of the victims and when he reported the abuse he suffered M Hodge smeared him so people wouldn't believe him

I just hope that 'cos three people appear to have abducted Madeleine, she is still alive somewhere (rather than one weirdo IYKWIM)

Anyway - have put my P&T together. The manual is entitled "survival of the hippest"

foxcub · 11/05/2007 18:08

heremellow

suejonez · 11/05/2007 19:42

steppie - so sorry DD is giving you the run around - if you need a hand at all while DH is away give me a call

Paddle the bollockings when there is an element of truth are always the worst. Much harder to be dismissive and outraged by them IME (yes I have experience!)

suejonez · 11/05/2007 19:44

DS slpet for nearly 2.5 hrs this afternoon for first time ever no idea why, I had to drag him out of bed at 4pm to take him to Sainsbury as had run out of time to go to Tesco by then.

Don't like Sainsbury, they had run out of half my staple stuff - organic mince, organic full fat milk very little on special offer (that I wanted). Won;t be going back if I can help it.

pudding77 · 11/05/2007 20:02

Sue, I love it when ds sleeps that long though I usually keep glancing at the clock and never start doing anything as he would be bound to wake up!

suejonez · 11/05/2007 20:06

but he never sleeps that long so wasnt doing anything much becasue I was expecting him to wkae so we could go shopping. I can imagine its great if you're used to it, but if you're not you (I!) end up watching Judge Judy

pudding77 · 11/05/2007 20:13

Yep, that's what I end up doing too, though not Judge Judy! Ds usually sleeps for 2hrs so anything after that and I'm sat expecting him to wake up at any second.

SamLou1979 · 11/05/2007 22:09

Hello all

Im new to this site and i live in Perivale.

Saw this thread and thought i'd join in - if thats ok?!

Any other Perivale mums here? I have just the one child - a little girl who will be 8 on the 18th May.

suejonez · 11/05/2007 22:24

you don;t need permission - we're not a membership only club! Very polite of you however, that will have to change if you're going to hang out with the West Lonodn posse. But I'm off to bed now so catch up with you another time... so hello and goodbye (unless you're available for our Mile for MAude tomorrow in Richmond Park?

foxcub · 11/05/2007 22:29

Hi Samlou

Sue at watching Judge Judy - just waiting ...and waiting...for DS to wake....

well Ds2 had his jabs and is out for the count after several yelling hours. Had to give baby nurofen ("can be administered from 3 months...") as calpol didn't touch his temperature.

Have really embarassed myself on another thread. Took the piss out of the name of a child I used to know. One of the m,umsnetters I was chatting too turns out to be that child's auntie

feel a bit ashamed now [ahem]

you OK PC? give me a buzz if you fancy a chat.

All set for Mile for Maude then?

TBH doubt if I will get dressed in time to get there with all the DC's - specially if DS2 is still running a temperature tomorrow. If I don't see you good luck and hope the weather holds out...

foxcub · 12/05/2007 10:04

Wakey time you lot...

I am last one on here at night and first one on in the morning. How sad is that?

Paddlechick666 · 12/05/2007 10:06

first to post, not first here! i'm just lurkin around waiting to get ourselves together for later.

how's it going your end MamaFox?

foxcub · 12/05/2007 10:10

Fine thanx PC

Bit tired and stressy this week for no particular reason. Think I overdid it last week whizzing around.

How is work now then?

The weather looks grand for the walk this morning anyway!!!

Paddlechick666 · 12/05/2007 10:14

work is hard going at the mo. loads of projects converging and everyone's got the shits about something!

me being a gobshite doesn't help. really should learn to keep my trap shut, my head down and do the bare minimum as that seems to work for everyone else!

dunno about the weather but at least it's dry......... so far!

hope things chill your end soon.

;-)
