Fox,
Thanks for the info. I might go to Sunbury as it's closer.

Ele,
I found information on a clinic in Sunbury called Childrenzone. Is this the one you used?

foxcub · 12/05/2007 16:44

Mellow I might try that clinic too, as I am sick of driving to Eltham for DH2000 and it'll be harder with DS2 in tow. Mine are still due to have their Mumps (booster for DS1 and first jab for DD)

wonder how Mile for Maude went today in the park?

Paddlechick666 · 12/05/2007 17:05

afternoon

it went pretty good thanks foxie, bit blowy so we lost a couple of balloons!

sfxmum · 12/05/2007 17:27

hello everyone

paddle fab photos glad to see the grown ups did not go drywas there pink milk too?

foxie - yes i know about Miss Hodge evil deeds too. sky news have been running some stories on what i was on about yesterday, i usually find them too tabloid but that was a good story.

hello everyone else too i hope you are well.
dh took dd away for the day and are due to return soon, i really needed the rest.

have a nice weekend and i really must sort out this no phone no internet malarky

foxcub · 12/05/2007 17:29

Thanx for the photos paddle

suejonez · 12/05/2007 19:47

I can't believe taht I'm goign to bore everyone with this again but... DS slept for 2.5 hrs AGAIN this afternoon. Didn;t wake up until 4.15 . But this time I was ready for him as the house desperately needs a good tidy up so I sat down on the sofa for 10 mins, then fell asleep for 1.5 hrs

Paddlechick666 · 12/05/2007 19:51

lol sue, i reckon the sleep is worth heaps more than tidy house!

dd on the other hand gave me about 45mins respite but actually only slept for 30 of that.

where does she get her energy from.

she didn't seem ready to sleep tonight either so i left her in her cot and went next door to read. went back in 15 mins later to put her back into her bag and said goodnight again.

10 mins later she was fast asleep.

am a bit as it seems she's progressed to another stage now where she doesn't need me there when she drops off.

suppose it's a good thing on the whole but i love watching her drop off and rubbing her back.

suejonez · 12/05/2007 20:04

got there before you on that one Paddle - DS hasn;t needed me there to drop of for at least 6 weeks.

foxcub · 12/05/2007 20:25

Reckon you earnt that sleep today Sue

ComeOVeneer · 12/05/2007 20:31

Hi all. School fair went well, kids exhausted and hopefully will sleep late tomorrow. Paddle that photo of me is vile!!! Lovely to see a few of you this am (anyone know what happened to Ele?)

I am planning on a W London lunch at mine at some point in the summer (weekend) so let me know your avaliability on saturdays and I will co-ordinate.

Paddlechick666 · 12/05/2007 20:35

sorry CoV altho I have to say, none of us looked particularly fabulous under the circs!

apart from the kids!

now, let me just give you a list of Saturdays I'm not available:

19th May
2nd June

that's it........

how feckin is my life!

foxcub · 12/05/2007 22:18

CoV - I am available every Saturday until DS2's 18th Birthday!

suejonez · 12/05/2007 22:18

Cov - just how upset would you be if I said "but it looked just like you!" Diary is downstairs so will give you dates tomorrow. I have a couple of things on Sundays but nothing for June/July on Saturdays I don't think.

suejonez · 12/05/2007 22:19

foxie - liar liar pants on fire - how about holidays I'll bet you take some in the next 18 yrs...

foxcub · 12/05/2007 22:22

I can't afford hols now I have all these kids. My dream of working p/t means no hols and no Waitrose treats

anyhow, I'm too tired to go on holiday...

Eleusis · 12/05/2007 22:30

Ele just can't do everything she commits too. And I'm having a really shit day (okay lfie) but can't discuss it here or anywhere really). So, I just was a big lamo and didn't show. I feel reallt bad because I think was inportant and something I wanted to do for Maude's memory. I wonder how GGGlimpopo is today?

Anyway, a saturday lunch sounds great. We will come (probably). 19 of MAy is out because that is DS' 2nd birthday. Last two weeks of June we might be on hols.

So, first couple weeks of June or any time in July is good for me.

I am sorry I didn't show up today. Sue, I think I owe you for a baloon.

suejonez · 12/05/2007 22:42

We're sorry too Ele, we missed you but it's not the end of the world, don't beat yourself up if you're having a bad time already.

foxcub · 12/05/2007 22:45

thismight cheeryouup

quokka · 13/05/2007 08:50

sorry your feeling like that ele . Dh thinks his life has never been better, but the closer I get to the move date, the more I question it? I hope we are doing the right thing and the kids wont be be too disturbed by the move.

Love the photos by the way - sue have you lost more weight? I must admit I was in Richmond yesterday getting stuff for ds1's b'day cake and felt a bit guilty I wasn't do the walk

quokka · 13/05/2007 08:51

meant "doing"

Paddlechick666 · 13/05/2007 09:00

morning all

ele, sorry to hear things aren't too good. ring/text/email if you want to talk.

quokka, i reckon it's completely normal to have those sorts of worries. it's all happened pretty fast but it'll be great once you get there and settle in a bit.

your boys are so grounded within their family I think they'll cope with this just fine. kids are so adaptable and they're at such a young age as to make that even more so.

and if worst comes to worst knock it on the head and come home. at least you'll know you gave it a shot.

it won't come to that tho, think of all the benefits you're going to have. not least being so close to home for you.

ps: can't yahoo at the mo as 'puter is playing up. buzz me if you want a natter anytime.

suejonez · 13/05/2007 09:37

Quokka if it helps, my parents went off to Africa in 1968 when we were 3, 7 and 8 for nearly four years and it certianly didn't do us any harm. I found it the easiest to adjust and took both the move from Africa and back to teh UK completely in my stride, I thought it was what everyone did! Your DS's security is you not any physical places at their age and they will ake their cue from you. I have no doubt it will all be fine and any teething problems will be quickly overcome.

suejonez · 13/05/2007 09:38

sadly not Quooka (on the weight) I have gone up and down the same 5lb since getting back though frankly I haven't really been trying. Seem to thave lived on cake in teh past week.

quokka · 13/05/2007 09:57

yeah I know your both right but thats what mums do best - worry

Happy aussie mums day everyone. My mood might have been better today had dh not gone to play golf this morning. He just got back and they only played 4 holes so it was a wasted journey for him

suejonez · 13/05/2007 09:58

well at least it was a wasted jurney for him . My mum hadn't been any further than Wales when they left to go to darkest Africa and had a phobia about siders! You couldn't be worrying more than she did.
