quokka - have you considered teh council? They will rent teh place off you for a fixed number of years (5 I think) andc guarantee rent payment. It's a thought. They need houses for residents esp families.

And would Quokka get any say in who lives in the house? Usually when you make money from government it comes with very unpleasant string attached.

just gone on the hounslow website but can't find anything for home owners renting property to the coucil - just the other way around

or would it be a housing association?

shame dh hates it. our last discussion about the 'totall bollocks" (his words) ended with me proclaiming zealously:"if you're not interested in bb, you're not interested in people..."

funny that the irony of ignoring dh for the next 3 months while i become engrossed in a hoiusehold of strangers is lost on me {grin]

quokka, dh has ven bought me back a tape of australian bb! (don't know what it's like as haven't had a chance to watch it yet)

I think it will be on telly in s'pore, I know you get channel ABC (which is like BBC here)

actually I watch Neighbours to keep up with the lingo, S'pore is going to be full of aussies so maybe I wont want to watch it? Nah!

stepford from what I hear it is the same as the english version but a bit more perverse. They like to get their bits out quite alot, must be the warmer weather

yes, last year didn't one of the (auusie) housemates accuse 2 blokes of sexual assault? don't think it got to court...
i actually think bb's gone on the wrong track with sexing it up, though. call me old-fashioned, but i don't want to watch people having sex.

i just like working out the persoanlity types, personality clashes and, oh, the odd bust-up.

tad annoyed it's clashing with the apprentice, though..

you need one of those boxes with a hard drive to tape all your fav shows they are fab (virgin media)

you can tape 2 shows while watching another
