Nanou1 · 24/05/2007 12:38

how very dare you foxie? do i need to remind you that this week is Vegetarian Week.
and we all know that veggies don't do horses don't we?!

Eleusis · 24/05/2007 12:39

Looks like it's Itallion fish for Foxie.

Nanou1 · 24/05/2007 12:52

true veggies don't do fish either
mrsR - just saw your email and replied

MrsRecycle · 24/05/2007 13:03

thanks Nannou!! Yep if anyone is interested, my AP told me she doesn't like my dds last night so wants to leave to work in a bar. Thought that'd make you

Eleusis · 24/05/2007 13:08

WHAT?!?!

Eleusis · 24/05/2007 13:08

And she's going to meet nice normal people in a bar?!

What bar? Let's go harass her. Cheecky little bitch.

And what the heck is to not like about your lovely DDs?

Nanou1 · 24/05/2007 13:09

exactly my thoughts. mrsR - bring her on friday night; we'll roast her!!!

Eleusis · 24/05/2007 13:12

Oh oh oh... Goosey who types on the childminder threads has a fab daughter who want to come work in London as an au pair for the summer. I have met them both and think they are both great -- best au pair you could find. Trouble is you have to wait til July and I think she'd charge around £80 per week.

MrsRecycle · 24/05/2007 13:22

Nannou - I like you're thinking. Ele - she doesn't like the fact that dd2 doesn't get ready in 5 minutes when she actually has 20 minutes to get ready. dd1 is off sick at the moment so she doesn't have to deal with her.

The problem is I need someone from beginning of June until 20th July. I might have a solution though (which doesn't involve APs) so just need to work out logistics. ARGGHHHHHHH

(Oh and to make matters worse I've just had a telephone interview and I think I might have got the job - that one in Guildford ele!). They want me to start a week on Monday.

Eleusis · 24/05/2007 13:29

Oh, pity you can't just drop them off at my house on the way. I guess they have to go to school, huh?

Can you do a childminder and your DH do the school/childminder run on one end? Or both ends?

Eleusis · 24/05/2007 13:33

Oh FFS sake she'd hang my DD out to dry in 3 seconds. Not only does she not get dressed in 5 minutes, but she renegotiates the outfit. No DD you can't wear that. Nanny got that out for you and that is what you are going to wear. Eleusis goes back to her room to finish getting ready for work. Guess what DD is wearing? YEs, a nice cosy jumper meant for December... and what is the temperature today. Nanny walks out and say DD, that's too hot for today. I say "I know, she's yours now."

Yes, this all happened in the span of about 7 minutes this morning.

She also changes her pyjamas after she goes to bed and you turn the lights out.

MrsRecycle · 24/05/2007 13:34

I could drop ds off at my sisters on the way. Yeah shame dds have to go to school. I only need an AP for 6 weeks. df dd1 might be able to help out though so we can manage. We can chat about this tomorrow night.

MrsRecycle · 24/05/2007 13:35

That's why we have "clothes kids" - no arguing about the clothes to wear for the day as they lay them out the night before.

MrsRecycle · 24/05/2007 13:37

Oh and our wonderful old Dutch AP has offered to come over to help out, the only problem is she has to study at the moment. Isn't she lovely - you'll meet her at the Christening!

Eleusis · 24/05/2007 13:38

Un huh, yep. These were laid out the night before. But there is so much time during the course of night to change one's mind. (after changing one's pyjamas)

You know I just had an evil mummy though. Just for fun, when she's watching Shrek tonight (our new evening activity) I thinkI might go remove all the pyjamas from her closet tonight. So when she gets up to change them tonight, they will all be gone.

Eleusis · 24/05/2007 13:40

Didn't we go to Hampton Court with her? Or have I got the wrong one?

Eleusis · 24/05/2007 13:41

So when is the cheeky fickle one leaving? Can we help her pack?

MrsRecycle · 24/05/2007 13:42

That's the one - I forgot you'd met her.

Oh you are so evil about the pj's.

Do you know i'm just chuckling to myself thinking Channel 4 missed out big style when I declined to take part in their Au Pair show - their viewing numbers would have soared!

Eleusis · 24/05/2007 13:43

You could have bee the evil employer who can't keep them more than a couple of weeks. You should go start a thread in the nanny section. It's been rather dull for a few days.

MrsRecycle · 24/05/2007 13:43

I've a good mind to say next Tuesday but I might need her to do a hand-over. dh doesn't want to be nasty to her as we do like her. I'm sure I'll get a new one sorted soon and then I can pack her bags.

Nanou1 · 24/05/2007 13:45

desesperately trying to get in touch with the family who might be interested but can't get through.... if she could make it,you would be one week short though... i think

MrsRecycle · 24/05/2007 13:46

one week is no problem nannou - my dds can go to after-school clubs and my dfs have volunteered to help out.

Nanou1 · 24/05/2007 14:10

where is foxie?! spoke to them and amandine is boarding so mother asked if they could call and confirm as amandine has just been asked and accepted a summer job to look after kids (she is very good with kids apparently). ggrrhh but they'll discuss it this weekend - mother is mortified and sure how daughter committed herself! anyway she said it was very clear that there was no wages and she feels it would be better and fun for daughter. so now we wait... i did my bit of PR i hope. fingers crossed everyone... also mother has someone in mind very good for MrsR. should also know on Mon/Tue. Sorry ladies...

foxcub · 24/05/2007 14:27

I'm here

MrsRecycle · 24/05/2007 14:29

Oh Nannou you are a sweetie for doing all this work - thanks! Next week should be fine (I'm at the caravan so won't be able to respond until the weekend though).

Oh ele, you'll be pleased to know I got the job - I start a week on Monday - so no more SAHM for me
