Everyone to bring whatever they want to drink (so feel free to bring a soft drink if you are driving)

Lets agree a list of what we need first before allocating out:

I'm going to try to make this easy and cut down on the cooking for all

lets assume 10 people

tortillas (3 each?)
cooked beef mince
cooked chicken
grated cheese
avocado for slicing?
guacamole
sour cream
salsa
fried onions
fried peppers
kidney beans in chili sauce (could be bought)
salad

Anything else?

Pudding

70cl of it - glad stepie is bringing limes as dh said we would need them as well. Have we got any ice?

KC - I can't believe you are planning a trip out tomorrow morning - mine has been written off as dh is kindly giving me and df a lift

Eleusis - prawns, refried beans, blender (for margaritas)
Pudding - spicy (mild) beef mince, jalepenos
Stepford - beans in chili, limes

MrsR - tequilla and nachos (made by dh!!) and chicken
Cov - Devil's food cake and fruit salad

Just thought, don't we need the wraps & taco shells?

I've just skimmed through the thread and, if people don't mind, I could bring some steak strips for the tortillas.

Erm, I've got to say that I'm a big Tex Mex fan and I do like my steak fajitas.

Have you found the fishmonger yet? Fishworks in Chiswick has very nice prawns when they get a fresh delivery.

Yep, went to Sandy's in Twickenham last night. Prawns are in the work fridge. Sue, I need to cook them when I get to your house. Just need a frying pan... ot I could grill them. But frying is probably faster and creates less mess.

Yes Quokka is bringing the wraps (tortillas). ele - are you my dh - he's just asked me that question! Well if he's giving me a lift there I expect a lift back as well. Sorry would give you a lift but we'll be going M4 home.

Think I'll probably do the 65 to Kingston and train to Sunbury. Must remember to check schedules before I leave work.

Totillas are bid round flat things, commonly referred to as "wraps" in the UK. They are an essetial ingredient of a fajita.

But now I'm worried that Quokka is bringing chips and not wraps....

No she's definitely bringing wraps as she asked how many - 2 each ie 20! I have some in my Freezer if we need some more.

Ok, no wraps then. I'll just bring steak strips for the fajitas.

Hi all. Well neither my oven nor the oven part of my microwave are up to cake baking, so I have made a chocolate cheesecake instead. Will make the fruit salad this afternoon. I must email you KewC for your address, although I think I may have it already from that contact list you did a while back. I am driving too so only one small drink for me . See you all tonight.

Does anyone own a hand blender with a herb chopper? Does the herb chopper work? I'm thinking of getting one as I hate chopping up herbs (esp. rosemary) for my pasta sauces.

I only have a couple of small jars of sour cream. SO, if you know where to get some, you might want to pick up some more. Not that you should be bringing anything since it's your party!
