Fajita night

Everyone to bring whatever they want to drink (so feel free to bring a soft drink if you are driving)

Lets agree a list of what we need first before allocating out:

I'm going to try to make this easy and cut down on the cooking for all

lets assume 10 people

tortillas (3 each?)
cooked beef mince
cooked chicken
grated cheese
avocado for slicing?
guacamole
sour cream
salsa
fried onions
fried peppers
kidney beans in chili sauce (could be bought)
salad

Anything else?

Pudding

Can anypne recommend a nice fishmonger for the prawns? There is one in Twickenham, but I've never been there. I thought I'd get them at Tesco, but when I had a look over the weekend, I wasn't very impressed by the (lack of) selection.

Eleusis - prawns, refried beans, blender (for margaritas)

A last minute bag of ice would be nice.

I bought the triple sec (cointreau) last night. Whoa that stuff is pricey. I guess all hard liquor is -- never buy it.

And, Sandys in Twickers is open tonight until 8:00 so I'mm off toprocure prawns after work tonight.

Also got some sour cream.

I've decided it would have been MUCH cheaper to eat out. But, oh well... Quokka only moves to Singapore once. We;ll just have to make sure a good time is had by all... including the little QC who I suspect will choose not to sleep through the festivities. Oh, hey, is he too young to do the entertainment?

QC, what is parking like near you? I'll have a blender, prawns, and few jars so I'm pondering driving over. But, of course I'd need to be able to ditch the car and get home some other way (taxi probably).

Does Cointreau go in any of the cocktails? Or does anyone drink the stuff? I've got 3 bottles in my drinks cabinet and can bring a couple along with the Tequila.

Do we need soft drinks/mixers - maybe Nannou could bring them?

I'll supply diet coke and an endless supply of cold filtered tap water. If you want fancy mineral water or bubbles you can bring your own.

MrsR, how much tequilla are you bringing and how much tequilla? I think we need need 1 and 1/2 time the quantity for tequilla that we have for triple sec.

1 part tequilla
1 1/2 part triple sec (cointreau)
1 part lime juice

Stepford, I think you are bringing limes? I suppose we are looking at 1-2 lime per margarita?

Oh, I didn't think, Kew have you goa juice squeezer? (manual one is fine don't need a fancy electric job).

Have I forgotten anything?

I'll go ahead and bring my cointreau, and if it isn't needed then we'll just have to have another maragita party.
