oh and thanks to you and paddle for kind words my writing not a patch on my door scrubbing skills, though....
sue, i'd be happy to do your story if you want me to, and certainly give you some pointers/advice anyways. which mag is after you?

pretty tied up (in my dreams) this week but perhaps meet up for a chat next week if you fancy or welcome to give me a bell.

quokka - past few years have specialised in toddlers/mums' issues, but now gone freelance so will give most things a go really, but especially emotional human interest or humorous stuff. so you're off to singapore? how exciting. my dh was brought up there.

foxcub · 25/04/2007 14:53

you coming to our meet up steppy?

Paddlechick666 · 25/04/2007 14:56

hey Stepford, d'you wanna do PR for our Richmond Park Mile for Maude?

s'not what ya know but who ya know!

ps: I know the pic ed on Chat mag if you want a contact.....
altho saying that, we've never really been so close after she told me where she was working and i thought she said Cat Magazine and made some (i thought) amusing comments.

pmsl!

suejonez · 25/04/2007 15:07

stepford - does "Joanne Atkinson" ring a bell?

quokka · 25/04/2007 15:22

pc got those jeans and top and they look foul on me . Just call me quokka no arse. Might save the summer shopping for s'pore.

suejonez · 25/04/2007 15:31

quokka - will share some of mine if you like, i have plenty to go round

quokka · 25/04/2007 15:33

you know what I would love to! ooh maybe i could get butt implants

suejonez · 25/04/2007 15:34

perhaps I could have liposuction and donate some...

ComeOVeneer · 25/04/2007 15:40

Foxie, seeing as SUe "kindly" told us to shove off the other thread I will post re diet here.

Start the day with hot water and lemon to cleanse the system (I actually rather like this). Then I have been having either porridge (made with water) and berries or bananas, or allbran with fruit, or yoghurt and prunes. Lunch is plenty of salad with oily fish and corn thins or soup or mixed bean salad, or baked sweet potato with chickpeas. Supper has been a recipe from a lowfat cook book (even been giving them to dh and he likes it). No wheat, no choc, crisps, eating kids' leftovers, plenty of lean chicken/meat/fish, loads of veg/fruit/pulses, and tonnes of water. Snacking on seeds and nuts. Excercise - skipping, dvd workouts and stepper

suejonez · 25/04/2007 15:52

at what age do you start eating DC's left overs? Don't don't feel slightly tempted at the moment (except fishfingers) but never have been attracted by squelched scrambled eggs

quokka · 25/04/2007 15:54

sue dh insists that I always leave the kids leftovers for him - he thinks they eat better than we do

suejonez · 25/04/2007 15:54

mne probably does too but thats because I don;t feed him 4 days a wek

foxcub · 25/04/2007 15:55

Mine too Quokka .

BTW have some fat tummy if you'd like some?

suejonez · 25/04/2007 16:00

Quokka - your bloody doctor has my sisters house the week I want it

quokka · 25/04/2007 16:02

how dare he - surely he doesn't deserve a holiday !

quokka · 25/04/2007 16:10

how the hell am I going to watch eastenders and neighbours in S'pore????

suejonez · 25/04/2007 16:11

thats what I thought. How unreasonable. Whats the point having a rich sister if she won't ditch her friends when you want her house?

Paddlechick666 · 25/04/2007 16:19

oh no quokka! can't really think those jeans don't look good on you. doesn't the top cover your butt anyway?

you need to get one of those telly card things for your computer and then you can pick up the satellite channels.

eastenders is no loss IMO tho.

CoV, how d'you find the time to eat all that lot? or prepare it for that matter! you're not martha stewart in a witness protection program are you?

Joanne Atkinson? Didn't she write Behind the Scenes at The Museum and Emotionally Weird? Or was that Kate Atkinson?

where be SFX today?

Paddlechick666 · 25/04/2007 16:30

quokka, i was going to say i'd buy those jeans off you coz i like 'em so much but.................... i've got heaps of jeans now

wonder how nanou got on!

suejonez · 25/04/2007 16:32

yes wehre is Nanou I want to know

MrsRecycle · 25/04/2007 16:40

I was just wondering about Nanou as well. Hope it went well. If not, there's a job going over this way - I was going to give her the details.

suejonez · 25/04/2007 16:54

paddle whilst I remember talk to Halifax - they offer up to 6x salary mortgage ((don;t know what the rates are like.

MrsRecycle · 25/04/2007 17:47

They were excellent - we got a fixed rate nearly 2 years ago. Can highly recommend them - plus their insurance company is excellent!

Paddlechick666 · 25/04/2007 17:50

thanks ladies. have a very good IFA too altho last time we spoke he thought 5x would be possible.

but, no point in getting a massive 6x salary if i can't afford the repayments! will have to choose something very carefully.

fixed rate part repayment/interest works for me.....

pudding77 · 25/04/2007 19:05

paddle - have you bought a bike seat for dd? If so, can I pick your brains about it?
