Puds, what is Whitby like. My friend who is 71 has a 64 year old toy boy from Whitby!

Sue - great to see you this arvo. What time R U going to that fair tomorrow?

MrsD - loved your house - so much space and really comfy. We all had a fab time, thanx for inviting us over - it was great to see you and the DCs again.

MrsBigD · 05/05/2007 23:30

SJ/Foxie thanks for coming was great seeing you and dc's again . All seemed to have a good time. dd and ds are totally comatoes now. Not surprising as they had a full on day as well. After you left one of dd's old school friends came to visit and I hadn't told her so it was a huge surprise and lots of happy screaming . Last guest left at 20:15! So am guessing party was a small success

suejonez · 06/05/2007 09:17

Foxie DS has gone for an early nap at 9.15! so I'm guessing we'll go at 12.30ish so he can nap again later in the arvo. That might be too early for you?

Paddle, you around? Anyone else?

foxcub · 06/05/2007 13:16

Hi Sue - you're probably gone by now.

DS2 asleep and due for a feed when he wakes (anytime now). May pop down there after his feed.

However, DS1 is doing his homework and lobbying DH hard for a visit to Argos this arvo to buy a toy with his pocket money....

Mumsnet was mentioned this morning in the Observer, re. discussion son the abduction of Maddy McCann ... apparently MNters have "talked of little else"...

suejonez · 06/05/2007 14:49

Yes wa already on my way and you won;t shed any tears by not going. A field with a few stalls around the edge a bouncy castle and a hamburger satll (no veggie option!) DS had a nice run around and it whiled away a few hours. I plan to go to the country fair at Kew tomorrow.

foxcub · 06/05/2007 15:05

is that the one on kew Green?

Well I did have plans to take the DCs to a fair this arvo but Monti did the mother of all explosive poos all over me, the feeding cushion and all of our clothes. have bathed him and put the washing on.

Settled down to have some lunch and managed to spill a full bottle of (non alcoholic) beer all over my bed

Think I will have a lie down now....

...after I have changed the sheets that is....

suejonez · 06/05/2007 19:16

no there is a country fair in Kew Gardens over the weekend I plan to get over there at some point. Morris dancing etc...

foxcub · 06/05/2007 19:23

Morris Dancing?

Well a bit of multi-culturalism never hurts eh?

actually I've been to that one before - lots of stalls and woodcrafty things and that house is opened up. Queen Charlotte's Cottage?

Will deffo try and get there tomorrow if the weather is not too umm English

Seriously though - imagine being married to a man who was a morris dancer ! Must be the most nerdy hobby ever

suejonez · 06/05/2007 19:27

it makes me laugh that hey think people in the contry do morris dancing (rather than geeky people in morris dancing clubs)

Paddlechick666 · 06/05/2007 19:32

actually, i'm an expert in morris dancing.

my brother and a few mates danced. my village have a morris festival 1st weekend in june which generally co-incides with my birthday.

on the whole it's really just about getting pissed - so birthdays were always good for me!

suejonez · 06/05/2007 19:33

so you going to be joining in tomorrow......?

Paddlechick666 · 06/05/2007 19:41

no, our village didn't have a womens' side only men.

but i suppose i could fill in for the fool if any of the sides need one!

foxcub · 06/05/2007 19:57

PC when you say "my village" I take it you don't mean Isleworth?

Paddlechick666 · 06/05/2007 20:00

erm no Foxie!

foxcub · 06/05/2007 20:04

Paddle - is it viewed as nerdy in the countryside, or just by us townies?

What I really want to ask is: did you enver fancy a Morris Dancer?

ROFL

Paddlechick666 · 06/05/2007 20:30

yes but with a little more tolerance

and NO! absolutely NO!

Paddlechick666 · 07/05/2007 09:33

okay is it friday 13?

i have a dodgy door handle on the hall door. it only opens from the inside. till now i've managed to keep it open when i go upstairs.

this morning for some unknown reason i shut it behind me. luckily had dd with me as we were going to change a phantom poo nappy!

just had to knock up my neighbour for a screwdriver and some pliers so i could dismantle the handle and open the door. thank goodness they've got 2 kids so i knew they'd be up and about.

then when i took the tools back i had a coughing fit and nearly threw up.

how utterly on both counts!

and it's raining to top all that off!

foxcub · 07/05/2007 09:36

goog start to the day eh?

foxcub · 07/05/2007 09:37

or good even..

pudding77 · 07/05/2007 09:48

Paddlechick666 · 07/05/2007 09:49

okay thanks pud, discounting dodgy door, rain and coughing fit!

pudding77 · 07/05/2007 09:50

pudding77 · 07/05/2007 09:51
