New thread as the old one has run out of room.

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 24/04/2007 17:30

afternoon all.

i left at 10:20 and it took me 50 mins to get to heathrow !!

friend didn't come thru for another 50 mins after that anyway

dd sat in the sling and had a whole heap of people chatting to her and playing with her.

4 hour round trip to take friend home but was lovely to see her and dd was great. so sweet bestowing kisses on friend's ds - who she's betrothed to btw!

am knackered now!

nanou, mean to text you good lucks but totally forgot so sorry!

hope it went well, can't believe work gave you a hard time.

due back in work tomorrow

pudding77 · 24/04/2007 18:02

hi mellow, I was at home then but didn't hear anyone at the door. I am assuming you came to the right house? Sorry about that

MrsRecycle · 24/04/2007 19:30

Mellow thanks for those links - just had a look now. I like the grembo one.

suejonez · 24/04/2007 19:58

Snowboo - yes Maids of HOnour are open on Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday, delicious big home made pies you can buy slices of.

foxcub · 24/04/2007 20:23

COV - when I read "Monti's stinky naval" I had a let down (Monti = milk in my mind) his feed is 30 minutes over due so I need to be milked

That picnic looks fab - we can bring DCs BTW and its likely to be in Hyde Park

I want that pwoder for Montis tum. GP gave me some anti bacterial cream instead though. I said "I don't want ABs" - meaning "I don't want oral ABs" but he thought I meant "I don't want any ABs" so gave me some crappy cream with no ABs in, which I doubt will work.....

anyone know what that tum pwder is called? I might ask the HV, she should know....

MrsR - yeah - you coming over for a cuppa on Friday - is that Ok for you? I'll be in from about 9.30am until 2.30pm - let me know what time suits you.

I do have a double buggy but its like a bendy bus

foxcub · 24/04/2007 20:28

Is that powder for the naval called silver nitrate?

might do a MN search...[trots off looking earnest...]

Snowboo · 24/04/2007 20:41

thanks ladies. will let my mum know we are on for a pig out

ComeOVeneer · 24/04/2007 20:47

I think so Foxie. I will ask my sis when she is back from abroad (away for work until Friday). Is Friday a private party or on open invitation Foxie?

foxcub · 24/04/2007 21:45

CoV - well that very much depends on how knackered I am i.e.e whether I'm too knackered to handle more than one visitor, or whether I get a good night's sleep in which case I'd love to see you. Is it Ok if we "speak" Friday am.

Stepford - just realised Friday week is an inset day at Dcs school which means I'll still be unconcious at 9.30am ...shall we rearrange for another day or later on same day or something. How about popping in before you collect DCs from school?

DH at home tomorrow, which means he does school run and I get to lie in and catch up on some sleep hurrahh

2Cute · 24/04/2007 21:54

Hope this weekend goes well Quokka. So of you!

Foxie - Can't say I've ever heard of a stinky naval Hope Monti's ok though.

Paddle - lol at larger and crisps!! House prices have got to drop, kits just stupid at the moment.

Nanou - Really hope the interview went well.

Off to watch Ghost Whisperer now. I wish all men were like Melinda's husband. He communicates!!

2Cute · 24/04/2007 21:55

that was "its" not "kits"

suejonez · 24/04/2007 22:00

Stepford - do you still work for company who interviewed Paddle? They have contacted me about an article on me and DS - can I talk to you about it?

suejonez · 24/04/2007 22:40

I think all we need to do for West London mile for maude is work out which mile in Richmond park we are going to walk and post the start place/time for everyone. I don;t think we need to go to the effort of publicising locally (unless anyone want's to take that on).

So are we agree on 11am 12th May?
How about a circular route starting and coming back to Pembroke Lodge (car park and coffee handily close)?
How do we measure a half mile from the start and then just turn around?
Any better ideas?

suejonez · 24/04/2007 22:41

and is there a thread for the Hyde Park thing? I'm quite tempted...

foxcub · 25/04/2007 09:11

sue yes there is..but can i do links - no

btw fame beckons for you - i think we should aim to have a member of the west london posse in that magazine each month

MrsRecycle · 25/04/2007 09:16

Sorry Sue would love to come but my weekends are pretty full for the next few weeks.

Foxie - if you've had no sleep on Friday I could always take Monti out for a walk in the bendy bus so that you can catch up. ds normally sleeps around this time anyway.

foxcub · 25/04/2007 09:21

ooh you could put your and my DS in bendy bus - that would be cute !!

what is your CM friends buggy like BTW - is it side by side or one seat in front of the other?

heavy or lightweight?

yawn - going back to bed now as DH home - ooops - not for sex - for sleep LOL!!!

pudding77 · 25/04/2007 09:23

morning everyone

Not sure yet about the 12th, would love to do it but there may be a family thing I have to go to. In the meantime, could you work out the mile from /link{http://www.royalparks.gov.uk/docs/park_maps/richmond_park.pdf/this?}

pudding77 · 25/04/2007 09:24

try again

/link{http://www.royalparks.gov.uk/docs/parkmaps/richmondpark.pdf\this?}

pudding77 · 25/04/2007 09:25

And again...

this?

MrsRecycle · 25/04/2007 09:25

Side by Side - the gracco one. A bit dated but in excellent condition. I think she's desparate for the space so I'll see if she still wants rid.

Sleep well - am off to Mass now - trying to sort out ds' Christening.

MrsRecycle · 25/04/2007 09:26

Ooh and it's quite lightweight.

suejonez · 25/04/2007 10:11

Right then...

As far as I can see the only obvious 1 mile walk is from Sheen gate along the outside of the Park to Roehampton Gate then back alongside the road to Sheen Gate. A sort of triangle. Not entirely happy being by the road although IIRC there is a a grass verge between the path and the road.

We could start at 11am and have a picnic after if the weather is good.

I can get pink pearlised helium baloons at about £1 each but need to give two days notice.

Does anyone have a view on this? Otherwise I will just set up a thread separately with those detials and I will take orders for the balloons.

Paddlechick666 · 25/04/2007 10:44

sue, there's already a south west london mile for maude thread under charitable events.

well done for taking over the organising

btw, i've got 2 pairs of unisex trainers size 4 & 5 if anyone would like?
