a condo is a fancy name for an apartment with swimming pool, gym, playground etc. Its 5 min walk from the aussie school and dh's office just off lorong chuan (mellow)

Anyone want to give me a quick update?

sfx my dentist in Kew is fab. Expensive (but I think they all are around here) but fab, particularly with things like implants/crowns. Kew Dental care on North Road by the tube, I go to David Callaghan but the otehr dentists there are equally good, I have seen them all at one point or other.

And he's cute.

the french mreminded me of nanou anyone know how she is? interview / job and so on?

what would he know SFX he's a man. Think Nanou's intervoiew went well but don;t know when she hears. I relaly hope she gets it, her current place sounds like a nightmare.

I read the Jordan/Katie PRice thread too Steppy and I'm always surprised at the vitriol reserved for women in the public eye. I particularly dislike the comments like "she comes across as a cold unemotional mother" - like you can really tell from a TV programme. Can't say I'd snog her with tongues but she doesn't seem like the devil incarnate to me.

oh and Paddle - ignore the "tart dart" all you like but you know and I know...

Do you think we are generally more "normal" in our postings on threads because we've met and have a RL relationship. I always feel more like I'm having a normal conversation if I see one of your names pop up on other threads. Though the temptation to bait Paddle is a hard one to resist (I manage though, such will power)

since having no reliable internet connection i am blissfully unaware of the raging arguments about sahm v working ones (!) bf V bottle soft porn starlet troubles etc.

all the arguments seem to go at a tangent and become quite vicious for no apparent reason

yes just like a broken record and its the same old people provoking. I just stay off them or defend my "mates" (ie those I've met in real life!).

I remember one thread by someone I knew who was having money problems and asked for practical advice and she got caned for having a Zafira and they said she should have had a smaller car. But when she had 2 disabled ds's, 1 disabled dh this was not practical. People are just so judgemental and never consider beyond what is written here.

MrsR - a zafira is a small car - my zafira only has a 1.6cc engine, mush smaller than most saloons.

Have decided I might stay with them on Saturday night and come home Sunday. However, even if I don't they've invited me to lunch at the Crazy Bear which is a rare treat.

these judgemental threads and comments are harsh - but very entertaining and addictive LOL.

of course over here on West London Meets we're much more civil, supportive and tolerant.

i find those threads funny sometimes but often it is just tiresome, like playground nasty girls of 12 or something.

i am trying to stop dd from opening dh's birthday presents, she does not see why the grandparents should send nicely wrapped parcels which are not for her

pc - I haven't seen her for a few weeks - she's in France at the moment with her dh and dd. I'll meet up with her next week and give her those links. I'm sure she'll have made her mind up by then as to what is happening with her marriage.

I don't think I can make MrsD's as well - dh has to work Saturday and Monday so rather than be at home on my own I'm escaping with the LO's to the caravan. I've a spare bedroom going if anyone else wants to come down (pc?? sue?? ele?? foxie?? anyone??).
