I've just looked at the website for farmer teds and am now wondering if its worth me coming after all? It seems to be for 3 - 8 year olds, and as the general consensus seems to be that its easier to do it on a friday, my toddler is in nursery that day so I was just going to bring the baby. Has anyone been before and can you tell me if I'm just going to be sitting on my own! If you all have to be with your toddlers when they play like grandmas then it might be a bit daft me going all that way if I'm just going to be sitting there talking to charlie (not that he's not an extremely interesting baby) anyone been and can you advise me whether to go or not?

fastasleep · 15/11/2004 11:19

LegleBegle, you can sit with me! Theo's almost 9 months, can crawl but no adventure playgrounding for him just yet!! I can just go all soft and sniffly over your little one.....

fastasleep · 15/11/2004 11:20

Ooh I've never been by the way, but I'm just going for an excuse to be out, will do anything for an excuse to go somewhere!!

mishi9123 · 15/11/2004 15:41

leagle...we are going on the thursday not friday and it is fine for little ones. I first took adam when he was 5/6mths and he loved it. Its not the type of thing where you leave them you get to feed goats etc or u can just sit in while they let the goats go..lol...its great adam loved it. There is also soft play but u can sit right by the play stuff but also fast, and mts los will be sitting by you so not too bad at all...if u think u can handle it then bring both ur los if your tot is not in nursery on a thursday.....last time adam could do nothing but sit in pram but didnt stop him enjoying looking at animals and going on tractor ride...lol
take care

alliwannado · 15/11/2004 16:44

ahhhhhh dreaded drive LOL..........but it'll be good when we get there, anyone ot the directions for farmer teds, I've been there ages ago with husband but he drove so I switch off when hes driving so haven't a clue where it was LOL. I will be leaving by about 2pm too

OP posts:
leglebegle · 15/11/2004 17:17

I am all confused now! what date are we going? and now I'm even more confused because I can bring toddler george instead of baby charlie or I could bring both of them. i'm pretty sure i can't handle taking both of them actually. so who do i bring? george would get more out of it but charlie will be better behaved oh i think i'll just take george. so that's an almost 3 year old for the secret santa.

oh the confusion of it all. ps. i have now decided on venue for night time frolics which will be la scala on allerton road. they had a much nicer and varied menu than la bussola, good price range, something for everyone. i can't book it till 6pm tonight when they open so will post back.

leglebegle · 15/11/2004 17:19

alliwannadoo, we could drive in convoy if you like. i'll take my own car if you have to leave at 2pm but we could follow each other so we don't get lost, and then we arrive at same time etc. what do you think?

eyelash · 15/11/2004 17:44

can you count me and baby in for farmer ted's (ds2 in nursery that day). Sorry I can't post more often but hectic here at the moment.

mts - are you going to FACT next week?

hope everybody is well.

mishi9123 · 15/11/2004 18:00

Right so far am i right in list below for interest in Farmer ted?
Will be THURSDAY 9TH DEC
bron and S
MTS and S
ALLI and B
Fast and T
eyelash and ickle bubs
leagle and G
Myself and A

Bron can I ask you to take MTS and I will take Fast.

If we could get to farmer teds by 11am will be great and probably all the little ones would be ready to leave around 2/3 as it will also be getting dark..lol

Closer to that date I will post directions on how to get there but it is quite easy to reach so dont fret and not too long a drive.

Am I to take it that you are all taking part in secret santa?
Will get the reindeer antlers this week so how many people will be requiring them...I intend to wear some...lol so i do expect someone else to.
I will phone farmer teds on friday to see if i need to book or if they r laying on any special xmas lunch menus.
Ohhhh sooooo exciting

fastasleep · 15/11/2004 20:34

Ooh eyelash! I know you have no idea who I am but I can't wait to see your little one! I'm not weird, honest... just mushy and hormonal!

Isn't Mishi good at organising things!

alliwannado · 16/11/2004 19:39

secret santa, would it be easier if we all gave you the money mishi and you just get a load of pressies (say about £7.50 ish each to cover pressie and wrapping and card?)..........you being such a good organiser etc or is that asking too much? or is everyone organised in that area?
Any meetings taking place on Thursday? If so, can I come LOL or just coffee morning?
Photo time at sticky fingers on Friday everyone.

leglebegle · 16/11/2004 19:52

i'm okay for the secret santa mishi, i have to get so many presents anyway one more doesn't make a difference!

alli - I was thinking of going to granmas with geroge on thursday with george if you fancy it, or if it was nice i was going to go to calderstones park, we went this morning it was lovely. let me know if want to hook up.

to all involved with the xmas meal out (evening) it is now booked, at la scala, 8pm, on the 26th november. its in my name (wyn-jones, or they might just write jones which often happens). I will be there dead on though and will be the one looking worried in case i do a carrie from sex and the city and just sit alone at a big table for hours!) for those who dont' know it, its on allerton road, number 179 - 183, and is directly opposite the library, so the end of allerton road by tesco's not menlove avenue.

fastasleep · 17/11/2004 08:01

I want to do something on Thursday but I'm all coughing and spluttering, and Theo's just getting over a mini tummy bug.... his first ever illness other than his kidneys lol..

We could come, but then you might all catch something from us! Did I mention I have the worst immune system in the universe and this chest infection for you would probably be one solitary sneeze!! Hmph. Lol

MummyToSteven · 17/11/2004 11:24

hi everyone.

leglebegle - thanks for confirming all that about the meal next week. look forward to seeing everyone.

i've got S's 8 month check tomorrow morning with the HV, but will be around if anyone wants to do anything tomorrow afternoon?

also hope to go to sticky fingers on friday - what time does it start?

fastasleep - am perfectly happy to risk your germs! sorry that you and theo are still under the weather. have you been to the docs for the chest infection?

alliwannado · 17/11/2004 11:58

hi legelbegle grandmas sounds good, be there about 10am Thursday. fastasleep why dont you join us, theres colds/virus's about everywhere, unavoidable I think so I wouldn't let it stop you going out.

Think he is teething although whenever he is grumpy i ttend to blame his teeth...lol...he did have a temp and was not able to sleep last night but seems a bit better today but stayed in to be on safe side. Am sure by tommorow he will be rareing to go and want to be released...lol

OP posts:
leglebegle · 17/11/2004 15:18

great, see you tomorrow, I'll be there with George about 10.30am x

fastasleep · 17/11/2004 15:49

I feel bad for Laura now, hope the HV check goes well! Theo didn't have an 8 month check or anything, in fact the hospital wrote me a letter last week saying that the HV would be in touch by Monday with weekly appointments about Theo's weight, but she hasn't called, and she's never there!! There's no drop in clinic anymore and I can't make an appointment for the next month lol

Gets the bathroom scales out would be nice to see you again Laura!

MummyToSteven · 17/11/2004 15:52

well i have not been officially summoned for the eight month check, but other mums have had one, and the red book mentions a check between 6 and 9 months - so maybe the HV will just weigh S and send us off back home again . and you get the bookstart free books after this check too, apparently! not had S weighed for a few months as can't be bothered as he's obviously getting bigger and growing out of his clothes!

should be at sticky fingers on friday morning - what time does it start?

fastasleep · 17/11/2004 15:56

Erm 10:10 I think, people do get there early though and late too as it lasts till...12:30?? Oh I don't know someone will correct me in a minute!

eyelash · 17/11/2004 16:01

could you give me the address for sticky fingers and I will try to make it.

Hope you are all well.

alliwannado · 17/11/2004 16:09

sticky fingers 10 til 12 and costs a £1. I sometimes get there early and they still let me in at 9.45, I generally leave just after 11.30 because DD seems to get very tired at that time
see you there, photographs this friday too, see if the kids can stay clean LOL doubt it
