leglebegle - number for Anne Saunders who runs the book club is 0151 7094356. I'm sure she won't mind another person joining.
Good to meet mishi, fast asleep and alli today at sticky fingers. Hope to go again in two weeks. I am so pleased to have found such a welcoming place to go with DS. He had a ball again today.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Will definetly have to go to Farmer Teds as it is a fab place and the little ones will enjoy it.
Talk soon

fastasleep · 23/10/2004 08:57

Oooh it was great! but so many people just kept you know like talking to me lol and I didn't get to stay in one place for more than a second and talk to one person for more than a minute hehe...

I strangely liked the car-ride there and back best and when Mishi and Adam stayed for a bit afterwards, they played so cutely!

Evening? Out? Gets excited to the krazyhouse Mishi!

Nice to meet you guys (fleetingly!) hope to get to know you a bit better..

leglebegle · 23/10/2004 13:05

does anyone at all want to meet up with me I can't go to the friday meet ups because my baby is too young and my toddler is at nursery on fridays. anyone, anyone, anyone ??? I'm not horrible I promise, I like a coffee as much as the next girl. Come on girls, I don't smell !!! alliwannadoo - have I offended you in some way - we've lost touch ....somebody, somewhere, play with me

leglebegle · 23/10/2004 13:40

Oh and just remembered I'm supposed to sort out the evening meet up. If I take a little poll, we can do the most popular. So those of you who fancy it tell me which you fancy :
thursday december 3rd or friday december 4th
allerton road 'the other place' or casa italia in stanley street in town, what time is best for you realistically to be able to get there, yes or no to coming! hope to meet most of you there xxx

alliwannado · 23/10/2004 13:41

Hi leglebegle, have mailed you, no haven't offended me at all, just you haven't been on for a bit? half term isnt a good week but YEs to the following week. Wednesdays and Thursdays are good for me. Grandmas a week on Wednesday or Thursday? or coffee? Everyone I and MTS can confirm she doesn't smell and isn't horrible LOLOLOL, quite the opposite see you soon

leglebegle · 23/10/2004 13:58

alliwannadoo, fantastic to hear from you. i was on-line buying that book for the book club! how about week on thursday at grandmas then? I might bring my mum as then i can actually talk to you! she can go on the stuff with george and i can sit with the baby and have a coffee with you, or when you go on the stuff i can go on with george and play with you and yours. my mum's lovely, very friendly. right, got to go, am supposed to be cutting up boxes (don't ask) have a great half term and have a think about the evening meet up xxx

mishi9123 · 23/10/2004 15:30

hi i will go to grandmas a week on thursday adam could do with burning off the energy....
was going to aske dates for daytime meets and any suggestions
Thursdays seem to be a good day for meet ups so could do it the week after the night one so 10th ish of dec. Will phone around couple of places and ask what type f lunch things they have for kids

fastasleep · 23/10/2004 17:23

Hey... I'll do the night and day meets, any day any place although I may (I will) get lost and be late, especially at night, haven't been out by myself in the dark for ages! (That is as long as you guys don't mind a seventeen year old coming to the night one )

Don't think I should do Grandmas just yet! Think Theo's a little small, he'd sit there looking dejected! I might be going to sticky faces on a Monday sometime soon, but all your babies are too old aren't they? Or you have toddlers too, oh well..

leglebegle · 23/10/2004 17:27

Hi fast asleep, nice to meet you. Mummytosteven and I are going to the sticky fingers the Monday after next. I have a 4 month old and a 2 and a half year old. Hope to meet you there. If you feel like coming to grandmas though they have a lovely cafe and I will be there with my baby too (getting my mother to run about with the older one) so you could come for the company if you feel like it. Glad you can join for the evening xmas meet up. I feel like I haven't had a night out in a very long time ..... way too long......very much look forward to meeting you x

reallyshy · 23/10/2004 18:03

hi legebele. I am always free for coffee. Where about do you live? I never seem to make it to mums groups. They are always in the morning....and my kid s are not morning people!!!!

fastasleep....is everythig ok. I sent u and email, but you didn't reply. I didn't think I could have insulted you after 1 email, lol!!

fastasleep · 24/10/2004 08:15

Oh, I did email you! It must have been hotmail, or maybe I was tired and pressed the wrong button... I'll send it again! I'm sorry!

fastasleep · 24/10/2004 08:48

So um what time is everyone meeting up at Grandmas? (I think I missed it if anyone said it lol, sorry!)

mishi9123 · 24/10/2004 11:43

abi if u want to come to grandmas i dont mind picking u up hun...the tots sessions are usually 10-12. I dont know if theo will get much out of it but its just nice to go out for a coffee etc.

fastasleep · 24/10/2004 13:36

Thanks Mishi, as long as you know that I like you because you're you and not because you have a car!!
I am such a bad mum lol, I forgot the week after next I can't go to the Monday Sticky Faces because Theo's at Alder Hey that day for his post-op tests (actual op was in July/August so I totally forgot!) but I will be there not this week or next week but the week after, if you get me!
Hope to meet up soon ReallyShy, I've sent you an email, if you don't get it it might have gone to your junk mail box or something?

alliwannado · 24/10/2004 20:55

see you all a week on Thursday then at Grandmas look forward to it.

fastasleep · 26/10/2004 11:14

Argh this week is boring, except for seeing Mishi and Adam again

Can anyone reccommend any nice, quiet places for shy people to take their babies for a meet up?

MummyToSteven · 26/10/2004 11:19

Hi Everyone

Leglebegle - would prefer casa italia on stanley st as its cheaper than the Other Place. 3rd or 4th Dec are both fine. timewise - as long as DH is home from work to do the baby sitting - so 7 ish?

Everyone with babies under 1 - this week has the big scream at Fact. I'll drop in there and check what film it is

Everyone in general - this is where i vouch for leglebegle who is very very nice and most defo doesn't smell

fastasleep - i like waterstones cafe on Bold St - it's a costas, run by an italian guy so they seem quite baby friendly. you can't get quieter than a bookshop cafe

eyelash · 26/10/2004 11:50

Hello all

I have tried to have a quick read for future arrangements but can't work out what has been arranged.

MTS - I can't make baby scream this week but am up for it in two weeks time if you and anybody else is interested.

I am going to venture into town next week either on Tuesday or Thursday. Anybody fancy meeting for a coffee (waterstones) and a natter?

I don't think I will be able to make the Christmas do as am bf so I assume I wouldn't be able to bring the baby.

Hope to see you all soon.

chatee · 26/10/2004 11:52

hiya eyelash,
how's it going with babe and your two big ds's?
hope you're all well

MummyToSteven · 26/10/2004 12:04

hi eyelash, let us know how it's going with jacob and the others

arrangements;

sort of a standing arrangement for people to go to the frontline centre near the Asda on Smithdown Road on friday mornings for sticky fingers toddler group - £1 for tea/toast and craft. i've not been yet as it clashes with baby massage classes.

also i think people are going to meet up at Granmas play centre in Hunts Cross next Thursday morning - think Jacob would be on the young side for just about everything there, but a nice enough place for coffee/toast/brekkie

there is a baby group at the frontline centre on monday mornings ten - twelve

now next week - tuesday or thursday would be great, tuesday probably better.

mishi9123 · 27/10/2004 11:26

hi all
not been around for couple of days as adam hasnt been too well. Currently has conjunctivitis so looks horrid in the morning...lol
Not really been up to much but just wanted to say hi...lol
take care

bron42 · 28/10/2004 21:05

Hi All.
Leglebegle - would like to meet you too! Am able to make Grandma's next Thur 4th Nov - 10-12 is that right?
Re. the night out - can't make the Thurs but the Fri fine by me. The other place would be my choice from a selfish point of view as I could walk there!
Eyelash - good to hear from you. Hope you are all keeping well.
MTS - have persevered with Mill on the floss and yes, I am slowly coming round to it! Have not started the next one yet but have been reassured it's a quicker read!
Mishi - funny you mentioned conjunctivitis as Steffan has gunge coming out of one of his eyes today and very red. Hope Adam is OK.
Fastasleep -sorry I didn't spend much time talking to you but glad you were entertained at Sticky Fingers. Hopefully, will speak to you more next Friday.
Still have not found out what LOL means - anyone please?!

mishi9123 · 29/10/2004 11:38
