Just to say hello to you all, and hope you have a great weekend. Looking forward to meeting up next thursday. Mishi - sorry about Adam not being well, my little baby is really poorly, had to take him the walk in hospital in old swan last friday, he's now on antibiotics. he sounds a bit better now though. he has a chest infection in his left lung, and i too have had a no-sleep week! Bron 42 - look forward to finally meeting you next thursday. I checked my calender and thought I was going to have to cancel as its the baby's second lot of injections, but I'm not going to do it as he only finishes his antibiotics on Monday, and I think he needs a bit of time to recuperate. So I'm still on for it. mummytosteven, i might have to give the frontline thing a miss on monday due to the above. i will see how he is though, but not much point taking him if he is not well will you be going on thursday though? hope to see you there. alliwannadoo, give me a call if you fancy pushing a buggy up the road to the neighbourhood for a coffee sometime. I can't remember the days you work, but Mondays and Wednesdays are good for me. (or fridays). Bebby - what happened to you?? are you still up for coffee/park ??

Love to all x

Hi Gang,

I have had a very busy half term, sorry for not being in touch, I think I will be around a lot more after Christmas, here goes the complicated tale of my childcare....

Mon and Tuesday I do not work, but ds1 is in school and ds2 has a full time nursery place which I am keeping open until Christmas so that I can claim some of my sanity back after nearly six years of being a full time working mum, however the nursery costs alongside my reduced pay in the new job are killing us, so from Jan my ds2 will be with me at home on Mon and Tue, so will be looking for things to do/meet ups etc, and I am more than happy to host meets at my house, I live very close to Calderstones park so we can always go out if the weather is good enough.

Friday afternoons I am home, but everything seems to happen on Fri morning when I am in work, so Mon and Tue are going to be the best days for me.

I am really keen on a night out as since I have changed jobs (Oct 6), I feel like I have lost my social life with my old friends in the last organisation I worked for, so been feeling really depressed, and the new job is quite a challenge....however the big positive is that I only work 2.5 days per week, yipeee!

So I keep dipping into the site to see how things are going but will find it hard to do meets until after Christmas, a night out would give me a chance to meet some of you and then maybe meet regularly after Christmas.

Eyelash, how is it going? I am amazed that you even have time to look on the site , that first year is a killer!

I will catch up again soon, promise - take care, it is great to see that more people are joining the site, bye for now .

mishi9123 · 30/10/2004 13:23

eyelash · 30/10/2004 14:17

just a quick post for mts - I can venture into town this Tuesdat and wondered if you wanted to meet for a coffee about 11am. Bebby, or anybody else free to join us?

leglebegle · 30/10/2004 14:29

Mishi - very quick one as I am running out - point the syringe towards the inside of left side of cheek as you put it in - not to back of throat - nothing comes out. don't ask me why but it works. hope it helps x

MummyToSteven · 31/10/2004 17:43

eyelash - don't think i can make tuesday as DS has a stinking cold, and even if he was better, wouldn't want to risk him passing it on to little Jacob. sorry to let you down. would you be around next week at all?

MummyToSteven · 31/10/2004 17:46

Hi Leglebegle, will not be going to Frontline tomorrow as DS has come down with a stinker of a cold, so even if he's better tomorrow, don't want to risk passing it on to the little uns there. Hope George is fighting fit for Granmas on Thursday.

Mishi - sorry to hear that A is still under the weather, and hope the antibiotics kick in

Hi Bebby - nice to hear from you again. New jobs can be a bit overwhelming at first, I guess. Look forward to seeing you on the night out in December!

mumwithnoname · 31/10/2004 21:31

Live out in the wilds of Warrington!! Can I sneak onto your thread?

fastasleep · 01/11/2004 08:57

Hey everyone! Haven't been around for a bit, sorry! Still hoping to come to Grandmas on Thursday... Got Theo's first hospital appointment since his kidney op today though so it sort of depends on that...

Mishi we've had to give Theo meds since birth and he still spits the damn stuff out!!! We have to sort of put him in a headlock and shove the syringe right down the side to above his molars and squirt it reeeally fast and then clamp his mouth shut....we're such torturers!

Hope everybody's sweethearts stay well or get better quickly!

Hoping to get to Sticky Fingers too, so see the usual people there? If anyone wants to meet up next week I'm free Mon/Tue all day and Wed afternoon!

MummyToSteven · 01/11/2004 10:13

Hi MWNN - if you are prepared to venture into the wilds of Liverpool or Hunts Cross to meet us, we'll let you onto this thread!

Hi Fastasleep - I should be around next week to meet up, and hopefully will be at Sticky Fingers on Friday. Look forward to meeting you soon.

fastasleep · 02/11/2004 08:12

Hey, Theo's fine as far as we know, apart from a possible operation on his other kidney.. he needs more detailed testing at the end of January and beginning of February...grrr it takes so long because the Gamma scans of his kidneys are so expensive for the hospital... I wish I'd arranged more to do this week because having Tony at home yesterday's made me all bored, sniffly and I don't know what to do to amuse Theo! Lol...oh well.. definately coming to Grandmas!

fastasleep · 02/11/2004 08:13
