I'll email you now nanou.

Nanou1 · 20/04/2007 12:05

thanks foxie! . you ok? can't wait to go home. not fun being here...... guys very stressed out and bullying... did i say the 2 big bosses did not pay themselves this month? how do you read this?! i really hope i am going to get lucky with 3rd interview...

Nanou1 · 20/04/2007 12:06

ta quokka

sfxmum · 20/04/2007 12:07

foxie the tax has changed recently so not really sure although we have discussed the same possibilty.

i am currently holding on to the baby stuff just in case we mange to produce another one.

i am finding it hard to ditch the weight not much motivation but at least exercise is back on track and it should help with mood which always plummets in winter.

mrsR is quite right regarding Uxbridge shops, pretty good there and the surrounding area is nice too.

sfxmum · 20/04/2007 12:09

nanou best of luck with the job hunting, i think it is hard to find jobs before April because of financial year end new budget projections etc. but generally pick up around now

quokka · 20/04/2007 12:12

by the way nanou I did ask my friend at carphone, and they were trying to let people go so no vacancies

Nanou1 · 20/04/2007 12:16

thanks guys! yes it is hard indeed. dh has had yet another rejection yesterday . so i'd better succeed at my third interview on tuesday.... the pressure is on!

MrsRecycle · 20/04/2007 12:19

I always thought you didn't have to pay capital gains tax on your first property. Only if you owned a 2nd home. Has it changed?

We have a 5 year plan to move down to East Sussex if they bring in road pricing as we couldn't afford to travel down there every weekend. I can get a 5 bed detached house with a 3rd of acre for the price of our house. Now if only I could get a job working from home.

pudding77 · 20/04/2007 12:23

We still want to move abroad somewhere but want to keep the house just in case

foxcub · 20/04/2007 12:24

MrsR - I love east ssuusex too (would be my 1st choice for relocation) but it is still quite dear. where were you thinking of. I just think Brighton = high prices!!!

we're thinking of a village just outside bath 9fab local catholic school) where my mum , brother and sister are

nanou - would love to see you - when do you want to come over?

pudding77 · 20/04/2007 12:31

right, must go and pick up ds, see you all later

Paddlechick666 · 20/04/2007 12:38

erm foxie, why d'you keep asking me if I've considered Ham?

d'you think I'm a yob chav?

Paddlechick666 · 20/04/2007 12:41

quokka, am cooking yummy sausages which dd will have for her tea.

my head hurts!

was great to see her tho, she was having lunch and i walked in and she just waved and said "hi" like i'd just popped out for milk or something!

2cute's in or near whitton isn't she? feltham always seems cheap when i look but i heard bad things about it too.

btw, we moved outside teh m25 for just over a year. big mistake so careful what you wish for ladies!

am so glad to be back in London but actually would prefer to be in NZ!

Nanou1 · 20/04/2007 12:41

paddle! psml or is it pmsl ?!

Nanou1 · 20/04/2007 12:43

Paddlechick666 · 20/04/2007 12:48

it's pmsl nanou!

yummy sausages from Quokka's pet butcher in Turnham Green.

i ran away for the night last night and stayed in a hotel in chiswick. apart from my dodgy head it's done me the world of good.

also got some very good counselling

MrsRecycle · 20/04/2007 12:49

Foxie - Battle. I love it there and ils are closer for babysitting/gardening duties.

What a coincidence dh was in Bath yesterday and said it was lovely - I asked him if we should move there and he said it was too expensive.

pc - you'll have to tell me about your move when we next meet. I really am considering it but would like to hear other people's experiences. I met someone the other week who had moved from Isleworth to Littlehampton and absolutely loved it down there.

quokka · 20/04/2007 13:29

when I went there the other day (the butchers) I told them I was moving to s'pore and they were genuinely upset. Its things like that I will really miss because they are always up for a good banter and no matter how much I bought I was never charged over £20

Might buy those jeans PC, just looking at them online

Paddlechick666 · 20/04/2007 13:39

the DotP jeans Quokka? I'm thinking about getting another pair, they're so cheap and very comfy.

they were really nice in the butchers, i got 3 bits of steak too and it was 14 quid. they clearly have a £20 ceiling LOL!

Nanou1 · 20/04/2007 13:39

what are DotP jeans?

quokka · 20/04/2007 13:45

dorothy perkins, are they \lin{http://www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=20552&storeId=12552&categoryId=49453&parent_category_rn=49449&productId=276940&langId=-1\these} ones?

Nanou1 · 20/04/2007 13:46

dont know what to do.... have just been warned that monday and tuesday will be late nights workwise cos bosses cooking a big deal at the mo. considering that my company is doing really badly (bosses did not pay themselves yesterday) and that i have seen no deal being done since i have been here (10 months) i dont know what kind of excuse i could give that would make it ok for me to leave at 3.45 on tuesday afternoon for my job interview in hammersmith.... i think i am going to ask the agency to reschedule and explain why. that's what my conscience is telling me... i can't afford risking to lose my current job.... i really can't.... HELP !!!!! what would you do?

quokka · 20/04/2007 13:46

what happened there? Try again - these

quokka · 20/04/2007 13:47

call in sick - its not your company. Don't reschedule your interview, I think that will leave a bad impression

quokka · 20/04/2007 13:48

doctors appointment maybe?
