Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

Forecast for Monday is snow (yes, really!). Just thought I'd flag that up Have just been out for a posh, boozy lunch (oh, the joys of working

suejonez · 15/03/2007 15:09

don;t get posh lunches at work anymore as I have just agreed to leave at 5pm (rather than 5.30) by working the extra in my lunch hour or in the evening. Which is lucky my boss agreed as I have been leaving at 5pm anyway

Snow?!

bunyanvillas · 15/03/2007 15:11

Sue, I have been leaving at 4pm instead of 6pm! (really) It is all tres tricky ...

Eleusis · 15/03/2007 15:55

I left work at 3:30 yesterday.
And showed up at 9:15 today

And I have been very unproductive all day.

Eleusis · 15/03/2007 15:55

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz [sleepy emoticon]

ComeOVeneer · 15/03/2007 17:11

Asleep on the job Eleusis?

Eleusis · 15/03/2007 17:32

practically.

And I have a stupid parent-teacher conference in an hour -- I'll be remembered for the bags under my eyes no doubt.

nopudstilleaster · 15/03/2007 20:59

quiet tonight.

Lollipop was good today, practically empty so I could let ds roam around without having to follow him, then went for a walk in Kew for him to sleep!

How's everyone else?

foxcub · 15/03/2007 21:07

Hi everyone - just when I thought I'd got the BFing under control I now have mastitis and got some anti biotics today - which always cause breast thrush. Please pray for me girls that I don't get breast thrush as it is true hell!

Oxo - thanx for those gorgeous pressies and the support last night in my hour of need. I deceided at 2am to give up this BFing lark, but then today I decided to carry on as this is just a blip.

Paddle thanks for coming over earlier with that hot water bottle!!! ooh and the cake! Tally asked for another one for her supper

ooops this is starting to sound like an Oscar speach!! LOL

"thank you to my Mum for bringing me into the world..."

Stepford - good to see you back!

2cute - glad to see Nanou is OK will try and remember to text you my e-mail address!!

ComeOVeneer · 15/03/2007 21:11

Hey Foxie, hang on in there. Those first few weeks are so tough but we tend o forget that unless we are in the throws of them. Hope things settle down soon. Is dh being more helpful now?

foxcub · 15/03/2007 21:14

Yeah, he's being much better now - am dreading the school run next week though on my own LOL! My kids will be late every day

Hopefully this is just a blip re the BFing!!

nopudstilleaster · 15/03/2007 21:16

hi foxie, nice to hear from you, am sending some hugs over to you...

trying2bgood · 15/03/2007 22:11

blimey Ele - u do lead a very glam life!

I have just been watching Comic relief does The Apprentice. Trinny (from & Susannah fame) got a rich friend (one amongst many) to pay 150k for a ticket to an event. Needless to say her team won! The looks on Maureen Lipman's face was priceless when the woman said 150k, she didn't even flinch. These people really do live in another world!

mellow2 · 15/03/2007 22:37

Foxie,
I'm really sorry to hear about the mastitis.

I couldn't shake off a problem with milk blisters for the first 3 months which made bfing incredibly painful and I imagine mastitis would be worse.

mellow2 · 15/03/2007 22:41

Foxie,
You might know this already but here's an article from Kelly mom about probiotics to prevent thrush.

mellow2 · 15/03/2007 22:44

this is the link.

suejonez · 15/03/2007 22:48

Foxie - if you are happy for me to drive your car, I can do school run Tuesday and Friday for you - or could Brenda help out, I'm sure she wouldn't mind if she has space.

Re Apprentice - I thought funnier than MAureen Lipmans face was Piers Morgan and Ali Campbell face when they realised they'd been roundly trounced. Classic TV moment in my book.

mellow2 · 15/03/2007 22:57

Last post of the day.

Link to new thread for March 2007 for when this runs out of space.

Eleusis · 16/03/2007 08:13

My life is so not glam. But, you go ahead and spread that rumor if you like.

I got a glowing report on DD last night. Pity she isn't always so well behaved at home.

I'm well rested after an alcohol free night in and early to bed. So I'm alive and well and better get to work to attempt to balance out yesterday's lack of productivity.

foxcub · 16/03/2007 09:01

Sue - thanx for that offer!!!

Hopefully I won't get stuck but if I did, maybe you could watch Monti for 40 while I did the run?

Or maybe Brenda could take them - she did mention it so will give her a call over the weekend to see if she has space in her wagon.

Monti's been an angel this morning (and last night - only woke me once, thanx to formula top up!)

Trouble is (TMI ALERT) I am sitting here with no pants on as all my pants are in the bedroom and I'm scared to go in there in case I wake Monti up LOL!!

Mellow, thanx for that link - I couldn't find the probiotics bit amongst all those articles. I have to say I thought I was an expert at preventing mastitis after two kids, and know all the self treatments routes, but this time I was defo infected. I have been prescribed anti fungal stuff (unlicensed in UK) by my obliging GP, which should hopefully stave off thrush. The thrush is 1,000 worse than mastitis in terms of pain levels.

Sue, which days do you work atm? It would be nice to see you soon.

I'm becoming a telly addict as my life atm is sitting BF in front of TV. I really like Karen Brady and was glad the girls won.

Anyone watching Fame Academy? Colin's redition of "The bOys are Back in Town" was bloody Brilliant IMO!!

foxcub · 16/03/2007 09:03

Sue "40 minutes" that is, not 40 years!

foxcub · 16/03/2007 09:24

Where is everyone?

foxcub · 16/03/2007 09:24
Sad
foxcub · 16/03/2007 09:25
Hmm
Eleusis · 16/03/2007 09:25

Foxie, the probiotic yogurt is supposed to help prevent thrush. But, I think you need to drink/eat lots of it. Besdides it's yummy so nothing to lose.
