Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

OP posts:
Eleusis · 13/03/2007 20:36

You are NOT a crap mummy. But I can think of someone who is a crap daddy... and a really shite husband.

foxcub · 13/03/2007 21:03

Do you mean mine Ele?

I've been a screaming harpie today - won't bore you all but have had the baby blues and still have sore nips

My friend the BF counsellor is coming tomorrow to observe my crappy latch.

Am very of you all able to get out and about. Can't wait to get the feeding sorted so we can join in.

Monti is getting into a routine now, which I need to impose to be able to do the svhool run next week....

Um - er actually I have no other subject of conversation aparts from Monti and my nipples

Oh, yeah - Paddle - I agree it may be worth trying radio silence for 2/3 days and see what transpires. Or do you think that may result in DH just drifting further into cyberspace?

[big hugs to you paddle]

Eleusis · 13/03/2007 21:12

No foxie, I did not mean Mr. Foxie. But, sorry Mr. Foxie is not living up to expectations. Men: they are dumb. There is no other explanation.

But, I have to say, Mr. Paddle has gone well beyond the rest of them. I mean at least mine comes home to do the laundry on the weekend. And looks after them when I want to go out on Thursday night. And he vacuums the house now an then (although he clogs the fricken vacuum cleaner evertime and the swears it wasn't him). But Mr. Paddle... well he deserves nothing more than to go rot in a dark smelly corner for eternity (in my humble opinion of course...). TWAT There, now I feel better. You feel free to give it a try, Paddle.

ComeOVeneer · 13/03/2007 21:15

Ele, I have been told today that wehave to get our ds's together as they are peas in a pod.

foxcub · 13/03/2007 21:17

Ele: "go rot in a dark smelly corner for eternity"!!

Next time someone annoys me, I am going to say that very phrase to them!!

Eleusis · 13/03/2007 21:17

Really, how so? Is your lazy agreeable and covered in spots?

foxcub · 13/03/2007 21:18

Hey, Stepford Wife - R U out there?

Where did she go?

Also, anyone heard any more from Nanou??

Eleusis · 13/03/2007 21:18

Did I tell you a I taught him to say "bok bok" over the weekend. (he has the chicken pox) and how utterly mean am I?????

Eleusis · 13/03/2007 21:23

foxie,
I lost your e-mail address. Can you e-mail me?

ComeOVeneer · 13/03/2007 21:25

Not sure, but paddle seems to think they are made for each other. I have a feeling it is a somewhat destructive way.

Eleusis · 13/03/2007 21:26

Oh yes, she probably remember when DS was chucking wooden blocks at her place as the whizzed by her DD's head. Can't understand why she had a problem with that???

Eleusis · 13/03/2007 21:27

I think your DS is older than mine.. Is that right? Mine will be 2 in May.

Paddlechick666 · 13/03/2007 21:29

actually it was his Amazing Marvello Disappearing Act @ C&C today!

He's very nearly as quick as your ds and remarkably similar in colouring.

I suggested protective headgear and letting them loose on each other.

ComeOVeneer · 13/03/2007 21:30

She said you were rather reluctant to head t C&C with both ds and dd.

2Cute · 13/03/2007 21:55

Ele - "men are dumb" So true! I love the t-shirts that say that it HUGE writing! (must get one...)

Paddle - Really proud that you told him not to come round when he's with the s-kids! well done! As for calling yourself a crap mum...are you NUTS??? God knows how you've managed it but its YOU that's kept your DD giggling ear to ear despite everything!

Foxi - Sorry about DH being a bum and sore bits Had an email from Nanou yesterday just saying she's well just really busy at the moment. BigD wanted your email add but I can't find that notebook you wrote it on (probably hidden in my bread bin). Can you just text/cat me it please?

Sue - DH insisted that I tell his sister about her DS's behaviour at my DS's party so I VERY delicately told her and emphasised that I was not in any way trying to offend but merely letting her know just so she does in fact know. WELL, she replied that she did not take her eyes of him for even a second and other than kicking once, he did NOTHING. I won't bore you with the all the details but obviously other mums and I are just "making this up" so next time she won't bother bringing him to any of my parties. What else should I have expected from one of my ILs? Moan over....

Night all...

suejonez · 13/03/2007 22:01

2Cute - well it happened twice that I saw, though as I moved DS so swiftly second time maybe she felt that an "attempt" didn't count! So sad that she obviously feels she can't leave him alone for a second for fear that he will duff some poor child up

suejonez · 13/03/2007 22:02

(and isn't the fact that she won't bring him to any more parties a bit of a result )

quokka · 14/03/2007 08:51

ok I'm back, what the gossip? Going to Kew this morning, anyone else?

sfxmum · 14/03/2007 09:00

morning all

just remembered to tell that there is an Easter egg hunt at Kew on Easter sunday 10am with Easter Bunny. dh and i have a bet running, he thinks dd will not be scared of man/woman dressed in bunny outfit (because it is all fluffy) while i think she will run in the opposite direction

foxie hope things settle and improve, they are bound to, although if anyone said that to me back then i would just burst into tears. hang in there

2cute & paddle hope you feel better

bunyan i can't do instant glamour chic thing, my sunglasses are prescription so if on head i will just bump into things. i suppose sunglasses on head glasses on face is not a good lookhopeless

quokka · 14/03/2007 09:08

don't they have the animals at Kew during easter break? Will check out the dates today, sounds like lots has been happening - will read in detail when I get back. Was up 3 times in the night, why do the kids get sick when dh is away??????

2Cute · 14/03/2007 09:09

Sue - The worrying thing is that it wasn't just your DS but atleast 3 other kids. She later texted saying something like, if he did hit/kick etc, he's just "boyish" "nothing wrong with that". My brother had a boot mark on his face because her DS stamped on him when he was de-flating the ball pool! His nursery has complained to her about his bullying/violent treatment of other kids but she said the nursery is obviously "picking on him". I just left it as I really can't be bothered with my Ils anymore.

Quokka - Would've loved to but so full of drowsy drugs at the mo that I'd be really shite company.

2Cute · 14/03/2007 09:11

Quokka - I'm sure its a conspiracy....to keep mums on their toes (like we're aver flat on our feet anyways!)

MrsRecycle · 14/03/2007 10:08

Oh Quokka sorry to hear about your night. Would love to do Kew again today but have to take dh to have the snip this afternoon (am slipping the surgeon a tenner to make it as painful as possible ).

Thanks for a lovely day yesterday, sue, pc, puds, COV, sfx - I just about managed to get back to dd2's school to do reading with her in time.

Foxie, my dh wanted to take on some casual work whilst he was on paternity leave! Men are completely dumb as Ele says.

Right must dash - have to get ds1 weighed. Will check back later.

suejonez · 14/03/2007 10:38

Yoru Ds is lovely MrsR - so cute. Haven't thought of doing the snip yourself then, if you want it to be painful?
