Supposed to have someone picking up a dolls house I sold on Ebay between 10 & 11 so had to be back by 10am. I think Tsco opens at 8am on Saturdays.

Tried DS with a bit of fingerpaints yesterday but I don't think he really gets it - texture is too close to yoghurt for him = yummy finger paints. However will bring my bolt on chair and we can try it.

glad little paddle is feeling better, i am starting to think we were the ones passing on the germs at the partysorry
our snottiness is starting to improve.

i had a long lie in, dd and dh were busy finger painting and cookie baking, dd has learned not to eat finger paints but really goes for cookie dough

i have relatives in all day

had a relatively good run around tesco if you don't count my schoolgirl error.

found telly-tubbies in the toy section and tried to get dd to choose - stoopid! luckily there were only lala and dipsy but i didn't check the price first did i! blimmin 10 quid each - good job dh stumped up some extra cash yesterday.

anyways, we're home and dd is sleeping in the car while i put the washing out!

hadn't thought of the possibility of her eating the paints - oops! ah well, she didn't nibble the crayons yesterday so hopefully she'll be okay with it.

oh great! just looked in mirror and found i have had one of dd's bogies stuck on my face!

sfx, sounds like fun in your house especially the lie in. glad little sfx is drying up. don't worry about the germs thing - kids get everything going and who knows from where!

am feeling a bit guilty that friend's dd will have taken the lurgy back to Sweden but hopefully still being bf will help her fight it off.

Cov - it was the 3pm school run - I only got dressed at 2.30pm LOL!!

The funny thing was, DS ran upstairs saying "Daddy bought you a present mummy, a bottle of wine and he got me the Dr Who magazine!"

Sue - you sold the dolls house then? Were you sad to see it go after the work you'd put into it?

Foxie - I thought I would be sad to see it go but have obviously been possessed by Uber-mum as all I thought was "great I can get to the utility room sink now"

I'm defo on the way to full blown lurgy-hood but I have work to do before Monday morning (when exactly?). It was funny watching them wasn't it and the vegetable cakes were delicious.

How did the fingerpainting go?

DS is sick too, sore throat, achey limbs etc - so many bugs doing the rounds atm

erm, we were too busy eating veggie cake and cooing over our gorgeous dc! next time!

just this arvo i've developed a shocking cough and feel like i've been run over by a bus.

Paddle - can you thank your Mum for making those flapjacks?

Well. Monti woke me about 10 times last night so feel knackered. When the codeine wears off I also feel achey over my whole body.

But, the news is that Monti went to bed last night with dark blue eyes and woke up with brown eyes!!!

Do they really change colour that fast!!! Sorry obviously have no experience of it .

And you know the answer to the codeine wearing off - don't let it. can't you alternate it with nurofen (check with a pharmacist first, readers)

Sue - yes, I now have some of my fave drug - Ibuprofen, which I've used before when BF so its Ok for short periods. Its better actually, as it reduces inflamation too.

The eyes can change colour any time up until a year old apparently (I bet your DS had blue eyes too once!!). DS1's eyes went brown on the third day, with Monti, this is the fifth day. I was rather hoping that DS2 would have brown eyes and also hopefully tanned skin. I like the idea of two boys with brown eys, tanned skin and then a DD with blue eyes and fair skin

afternoon all

well, just had a 1.5 hour walk up and down the river with dd in her sling. unfortunately she refused to sleep which was the purpose but it was nice to get out.

i feel shocking and dd isn't a great deal better altho i think we're back to the teeth now. oh and the coughing which is keeping us both up all night.

going to try and get her down in her cot this arvo and hit my bed as well.

foxie, keep taking the drugs mate! amazing about Monti's eyes, i really wanted dd to have brown eyes but she'll do with the peepers she's got lol!

mind you, she's driving me to distraction again today - not good on a week's worth of crap sleep..........

ah well, at least the sun is shining and pingu is my friend!

well we've had a very crotchety aftenoon. dd managed 20 mins nap

she was asleep by 6:45 tho, i even put her in her cot awake and just stood next to her while she dropped off. sincerely hope she will go thru the night now tho.

i am desperately in need of a good sleep. doubt i will get it tho - huge blow up with dh and his parents this arvo!

some home truths came out and things are looking bleak........

I have put off the work I needed to do until tonight so now I'm having to do it very tired from my cold when if I'd done it on Friday I could ahve settled down in front of the TV now . My own fault. I'm going to be disciplined and do it before stopping for dinner though and I hope that there isn;t much more than an hours work to do...

Oh dear - seems I'm not the only sleep deprived person on here!

sfx - my nips look like a battle ground but strangley, hurt slightly less. Boobs reverting to more of a boob like shape, rather than a Dolly Parton like shape as they have been recently.

Lets all try and get some sleep tonight eh?
