Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

and everyone else too night night

mellow2 · 12/03/2007 08:15

PC,

I can see Sue's profile page but not yours. I think you need to change the setting so all can view.

mellow2 · 12/03/2007 08:16

PC,
Sorry for the crap you have to deal with too.

Paddlechick666 · 12/03/2007 08:44

thanks mellow, i've made it public now altho i think i've got same pic as sue.

thanks also for the best wishes. it was a pretty heated conversation with the ILs which probably hasn't gone down too well. told them they needed to get tough with dh!

anyways, he's gone awol again, apparently on the instruction of his shrink who says he must do whatever he needs to do in order to be happy.

self indulgent crap I say!

anyone know a good divorce lawyer?

nopudstilleaster · 12/03/2007 09:12

paddle, have to say I agree with you - it would be great to do anything we want to make ourselves happy but it's just selfishness in my book .

foxie - ds2 is so cute!

Seems like another nice day so am going to try and get outside, maybe to the park.

Does anyone fancy meeting up this week? Apparently the weather's going to be nice all week

sfxmum · 12/03/2007 09:27

morning all

paddle so sorry really self indulgent crap.
make you happy indeed!

am taking dd to boogie tots then kew avoiding C&C this is a day to walk about and try out the picnic blanket.

hope all are well, also thinking of things to do in warmish sunny weather, but might also go into town to the natural history museum at some point

suejonez · 12/03/2007 09:31

so in the long run - running away and hiding from the people who give your life some meaning is going to make you happy

I'd call that avoidance not happiness, have a father who is excellent at it. He's 70 and not happy so doesn't bode well for your DH if he takes the same approach.

Eleusis · 12/03/2007 09:53

I don't have time to catch up properly. But, did want to send some big cyber hugs your way, Paddlechick ((((((hugs))))))

foxcub · 12/03/2007 10:26

Sue/Paddle - aww thanks!

Do either of you fancy putting a quick post on : "Post-natal clubs :March 2007 - even though it hasn't actually arrived, some of us have (iyswim)" - so my ante - natals can see foxcub too?

I'm so pathetic aren't I?

It's 'cos I'm middle aged you know! (can't understand modern technology)

Paddlechick666 · 12/03/2007 10:31

thanks again all.

having the worst cold ever isn't helping my mood.

dh says he loves me and dd etc but he just doesn't want to be here - he wants to be on his own as that's the only time he's happy except he's not happy he's miserable but he's happy being miserable on his own.

i dunno! he's certainly not the man he was. i said some pretty harsh stuff yesterday and haven't heard from him since.....

anyways, i've done a couple hours work and as soon as my cleaner goes home i'm going back to bed.

foxie, have posted for you.

ComeOVeneer · 12/03/2007 10:46

Morning all. I hope everyone is getting better from all these bugs and catching up on well needed sleep. Foxie lovely pic of ds2. Paddle sorry dh is causing you more headaches.

DH got home yesterday morning overtired and jetlagged. We had his parents, grandmother, a couple of friends and their children over for lunch yesterday and to watch the football and rugby. I did all the shopping, cooking and cleaning up, plus took the children to the park during the rugby, all with just a bit of help from dh's friend's wife, the rest of them sat there. Then did supper, kids' bath, bedtime, general tidying and preparation for this morning. I got up with the children got them ready for school breakfast, dh still in bed. DH had to miss his train otherwise dd would be late for school, so moaned at me he would be late for work. My fault? . Then he said ashe was tired he would be home from work early, so could we have roast chicken for supper. It took a lot of self control not to fly of the handle at him in front of the children. He can be so lovely and caring/considerate some times then downright self absorbed others.

foxcub · 12/03/2007 13:12

COV - presumably he'll be cooking the chicken then?

Paddle - thanx for that. Re. DH, sometimes you just have to say harsh things - I'm sure he heard some home truths and is having a think about them all. You can't just keep giving him unconditional support and have him do what suits himself can you?

I feel quite annoyed that he didn't tell you where he is staying - what if you needed to contact him in an emergency or something?

ComeOVeneer · 12/03/2007 13:30

No he won't be cooking, as he is getting lamb shanks as I had already got it organised to go in the slow cooker this morning. I have had to promise dd we would have the chicken tomorrow as she got all excited at the prospect. I have been taking advantage of this lovely weather to catch up on some laundry. I just went out to check how it is drying only to find that the line had snapped and all the clothes are lying on the muddy lawn so half of them will need to be rewashed .

suejonez · 12/03/2007 13:44

you're not having a good week are you cov?>

ComeOVeneer · 12/03/2007 13:54

I hope it will improve seeing as it is only Monday. I am planning on heading to the garden centre after picking dd up from school and buying some new plants and other bits as am feeling decidedly "springy" in this lovely weather.

suejonez · 12/03/2007 14:26

Do you want to do something Tuesday or Friday?

PAddle is around tomorrow and I think 2cute wanted to join in too.

DS has a cold but has been out and about all weekend so hopefully he will be OK.

2Cute · 12/03/2007 14:56

Afternoon all

Been away for the weekend at a wedding in Kent so I'm absolutely shattered now. It was great to catch up with cousins etc as we all booked into a hotel. Alot of all night chatting/partying and being stuck for 2.5/3 hours in traffic yesterday has meant that both me and DS are run down and full of cold He was too excited to sleep with all the attention and havoc but BOY did he cry yesterday as a result of being over-tired.

CoV - You're a better wife than me I tell you! I would've had to drag DH to a room where I could freely scream at him to calm myself!

Foxi - DS2 is Gooooorgeous. All that lovely hair!

Paddle - Feckin IL's! I hope you gave them a piece of your mind. It's about time they got off their back sides and saw how ther son is making you and their grand daughter feel! I hope your DH has realised hope sh*t his behaviour has been after your "words".

Hope everyone's well

Sue - Did you still want to meet somewhere 2morrow?

2Cute · 12/03/2007 14:58

Cross posted sue. If the weather's good, it'd be lovely to get out and you're quite the kew expert now are you not??

suejonez · 12/03/2007 15:04

we could aim for kew if the weather is good and Lollipop if it isn't?

sfxmum · 12/03/2007 15:43

well Kew was glorious today and if the weather holds i fully intent to spend most of the week there exploring different parts and walking about

cov dh would be having take away or whatever he managed to cook, you really hold your tongue.

hope you are all ok

ComeOVeneer · 12/03/2007 16:12

I couldn't drag him to another room to have words as we were in the car at the time dropping him at the station before dropping dd at school, so no escape from little ears. I am up fro meeting tomorrow. Like the sound of Kew. As a novice can someone tell me were to park, and if it is indoor wether where is Lollipop? I can meet from 10am onwards, must be back for 3pm to pick dd up from school.

Paddlechick666 · 12/03/2007 16:24

well, i've just spent about 3 hours in bed shivering and dozing and coughing.

thank god for sick pay and childminders. i could've stayed there till tomorrow......

really hope dd is asleep early again tonight.

kew tomorrow sounds good - will need to get dd out of the house and occupied.

am thinking about making an appt at CAB. no word from dh but MIL thinks he's hiding away as he's so ashamed of himself - same old story......

foxcub · 12/03/2007 17:14

poor you Paddle
