Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

mellow2 · 08/03/2007 15:54

sfx,
I don't think I'll be able to make it tonight. Dh is not going to get home on time.

mellow2 · 08/03/2007 16:02

Having said that, dh has just got out of his big meeting so he can be home by 6 pm so I can go out tonight.

Yippee!

MrsRecycle · 08/03/2007 16:03

Mellow - glad you can make it - you're not on the list - have you changed your name recently??

sfxmum · 08/03/2007 16:14

hi well it is my turn of i don't know if will make it

sue - might still need you for lift if thats ok but if dh manages to be home on time i will probably take the train/bus there

suejonez · 08/03/2007 16:57

Sorry MrsBigD - I'm out on Sunday

ComeOVeneer · 08/03/2007 18:15

DH is an arse . He and his work colleagues have decided to change their flights to Saturday night rather than the planned Friday one so won't be back until Sunday morning as they want to spend Saturday enjoying NY. So not only can I not make tonights outing I have had to pull out of one on Saturday night too. Plus we have people coming over on Sunday forunch so I will have to shop on Sat with children in tow, then do all the cooking and he will probably fall asleep whilst the guests are here. I had better get a damn good pressie

MrsBigD · 08/03/2007 18:51

CoV I'd be cross too! Selfish b*gger and too right he better bring you a good pressie!

ComeOVeneer · 08/03/2007 18:53

I have emailed him my list and added a "surprise" as the last item

sfxmum · 08/03/2007 18:54

oh COV i would be quite angry too

mrsD don't yet know what will be doing on sunday, have visitors saturday

dh just arrived so will get ready and go

trying2bgood · 08/03/2007 20:59

cov - how awful, lets hope he makes good with the pressie and gives you a weekend off too!

ComeOVeneer · 08/03/2007 21:01

Thanks T2BG, couldn't you make this evenings dinner either?

ComeOVeneer · 08/03/2007 21:01

Just incase he doesn't come good with the pressie I have done a little on line shopping this evening to cheer myself up

2Cute · 09/03/2007 00:07

It was good catching up with everyone tonight even if i am now broke as a result)

Off to sleep.....

Eleusis · 09/03/2007 07:56

COV, I think what he owes you is a weekend away when he looks after the kids and run off to pampering weekend spa break... perhaps you could find a nice one in Italy?

foxcub · 09/03/2007 09:11

Hi everyone - hope all OK

Still sore at this end (and at the other end unfortunately) - invested in a fabulous breast pump yesterday which has made me more comfortable and enabled DH to feed Monti this morning too

MrsD - don't think I could handle a visit Sunday TBH - still very sore and don't want to have to get dressed etc.

How was the evening out then - was it last night??? Any goss?

ComeOVeneer · 09/03/2007 09:49

Morning all. Hope you had a nice evening out last night. The children decided to start the day at 5am, so probably a good thing I wasn't out last night. Hopefully that means a lie in tomorrow (fat chance ).

sfxmum · 09/03/2007 09:58

morning all

very nice food last night and nice chats

hi foxie hang in there sorry about the soreness i remember being quite out of it and almost permanently in my PJ's for nearly 2months

i spent the night coughing and disturbing dd and dh, must go to chemist.

will pop over to kew soon so that toddler can burn some energy, i must not sit down or i will fall asleep i think

nopudstilleaster · 09/03/2007 10:03

morning all, v nice evening last night, good to catch up with everyone!

Am debating whether to let ds sleep and go out later or get him up now and head out now...

Paddlechick666 · 09/03/2007 10:12

morning

was great to see everyone and thanks to my chauffeurs 2cute and Ele.

got home and dd was not good. had just woken a few mins before i got in the door.

poor wee girl was really suffering so a very very bad night for us both. feel very groggy today. dd seems a bit brighter this morning tho and around 4am seemed to get some airflow in a nose!

foxie, sorry you're so sore but good news on the pump. just cruise and don't expect too much of yourself for a bit. let dh take the strain!

going to invest in a humidifier today for dd i think.

need a sleep now!

MrsBigD · 09/03/2007 10:37

sounds like I missed a good evening

No worries Foxie, was just on the off-chance. Can understand the 'don't want to get dressed' as so many people I also spent the most part of the first couple of months after having dd and then ds, in pj's or very comfy clothes

MrsRecycle · 09/03/2007 11:02

Found you pc! Oh no - really sorry to hear about dd. I hope she gets better soon. You must be shattered.

Foxie - hope the soreness subsides - you are so right to just chill - I didn't have any visitors for the first 6 weeks. I did lots of babymoons - it was so lovely. I've never spent so much time in bed.

2Cute · 09/03/2007 11:21

Poor baby paddle

Paddle - I'm just chatting to my dad as I'm posting. He knows alot about humidifiers/dehumidifiers. He's saying that they don't really help if you're trying to ease breathing made difficult by colds/cattarh (sp?). They are more for dry conditions (dry coughs/sinus problems/ashthma). A steam inhaler would be more helpful. I don't know where you could get one from but maybe someone else on here might know. Hope that helps

Foxi - sorry you're feeling sore . If you don't remain in pj's for the first few months and fashion the greasy hair look, then you would be breaking the norm. Hope all the fox faily are doing well.

2Cute · 09/03/2007 11:23

That was meant to be FAMILY.

Quokka - I forgot to ask what aromotherapy oils helped your DS's n'mares. I really need to do something about it because its almost every other night.
