Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

cov sounds gruesome! Do I remember you telling me you get your eyebrows threaded? Do you have someone who does it over this side of town? 2cute might know someone actually????

quokka · 06/03/2007 12:14

puds, you know that knitting class you were going to go to, do you know if they do crocheting as well?

2Cute · 06/03/2007 12:46

Just in case anyone hasn't heard yet. Monti was born at 9.30am today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are both doing good and all being well should be allowed home this evening.

Quokka - Did you not see the state of my eyebrows??? I used to go to a woman in Houslow West but got kinda fed up of always coming back with one eyebrow thinner than the other.

It was chocolate barfi Sue. I'm impressed! I had it made fresh by Royal (Indian sweet shop) In Southall.

Got to dash....

stepfordwife · 06/03/2007 13:14

welcome, monti!
well done foxie xxx

nopudstilleaster · 06/03/2007 13:42

Hello to Monti & well done to Foxie!

Have to say, I'm not a big fan of eyebrow threading - did it once & ended up with square eyebrows

Quokka - I don't know if she does crocheting as well. The shop is called Craftworks and the number is 020 8354 1641.

quokka · 06/03/2007 13:59

yay at last!! Well done to both of you

ComeOVeneer · 06/03/2007 14:08

Yay, welcome Monti and well done Foxie. Hope you and all your family are doing well. Thanks Quokka, I am still going to my lady up in North London as we are up their so often (having to visit ILs). But I am looking for someone local, as well a a good hairdresser.

quokka · 06/03/2007 14:12

I can help with a hairdresser, been going to same place for years. Very small salon owned by 2 gay guys for 20 odd years. Paul is the head stylist and very good, likes a good gossip and chat over heat . Michael is also very good but a bit cheaper. They are both foodies so swapping recipes is always good. Katie is the best for colours, but doesn't work everyday. They are in Grove Park, on the river in between Kew bridge and Chiswick bridge.

quokka · 06/03/2007 14:12

meant heat magazine not the dryers!

sfxmum · 06/03/2007 14:30

quokka guess that would be on the Chiswick side of the river? i found someone i like but it is expensive at headmasters.

i do love knitting and crochet nothing like a convent education to teach you that along with some needle pointbut i am well out of practice apart from the scarfs and bedspreads i keep knitting

so now that Monti is here what shall we do for excitement? quick someone get pregnant soon

MrsRecycle · 06/03/2007 14:35

Yippee - congrats Foxie - can't wait to meet Monti - can you bring him with you on Thursday night ?

Quokka - if you fancy a trip up to Ruislip I have a wonderful beautician that does excellent threading - in fact been going to her for over 8 years and she's become a very good friend.

COV - if you can get to Addlestone my bil has a hairdressers there - my sister works as their receptionist. I can highly recommend.

puds - dd1 has started knitting a lot more thanks to you!

suejonez · 06/03/2007 14:57

hello Monti!

suejonez · 06/03/2007 14:57

Quokka can I be rude and ask how much your hairdresser charges?

suejonez · 06/03/2007 15:02

had a lovely time in Kew today - can't beleive that theweather behaved itself. DS just crashed at 2.30 so hopefully will be out for an hour then off to the Tesco Mecca at Osterley.

Cov - I am around on Friday if you want to meet. Also where did you get your weatherproofs for DS. I think they would be a good idea for teh srping on days like today where the weather has improved but the ground is still sodden.

quokka · 06/03/2007 15:46

If I can remember rightly then Paul the top stylist cost £55 for a cut?

Paddlechick666 · 06/03/2007 16:21

afternoon all.

kew was fabulous today, great to see you pud and sue.

am very impressed with my sling, we walked all the way around and when the kids dropped off we sat in the sun by the pagoda and chatted.

it's so lovely having my friend here, will be quite lonely when they leave tomorrow

planning a trip to them for september i think. then their wedding in march where they promise they will get dd on skis!!

well done foxie, hope you're home tonight and online with all the details. can't wait to meet monti - hint hint LOL

trying2bgood · 06/03/2007 18:54

Cov - glad to hear that DD is well again and hopefully you and dh will get some much needed rest.

So has foxie had monti?

Had a friend round yesterday who lives in germany now, and my dd1 made her and her boyfriend watch lazytown? Luckily they have a good sense of humour but I did feel dreadful, here they are all the way from germany and I give them nescafe coffee and lazytown!!!!

xoxo · 06/03/2007 19:40

welcome Monti

well done Foxy

Roll on baby shower - and wasn't there talk of one for Daniel or have I missed that?

suejonez · 06/03/2007 20:16

no we slid right into being part of the gang wihtout any fanfare. Though he's a bit of a party boy so he probably won't thank me for that!

Quokka - oh dear I was thinking of £30!

mellow2 · 06/03/2007 22:14

Welcome monti and congrats on the new arrival foxie!

Paddlechick666 · 07/03/2007 08:19

sue, did you get to Osterly Mecca? Were there finger paints?

quokka · 07/03/2007 08:50

sj, he's the top man so more expensive than the others - not sure how much they charge. I always feel very pampered after, only go every 3-4 months.

Puds I'm going to music class at 11:30 if you want to come? Trying to do more stuff with the boys while neighbours dd isn't here.

That reminds me, we have to give SJ her card on Thurs (from the collection).
