Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

foxie - I really loved my birth centre experience, I felt very supported by the midwife and could have easily felt out of control if she had not been there. Also had a labour ward birth there with my first and after 20 plus hours of labour I was relieved when the consultant over ruled the midwife and 'assisted' with delivery. I was exhausted and scared and really couldn't do what my midwife (who was lovely) wanted (keep going) and just really really wanted help!

Am sure the sweep will help.

sfxmum · 05/03/2007 21:13

hi puds pretty sure you are allowedand we don't fear the pox!

sue - sorry about the rough first say but am sure ds had a great time, hope you have a quiet night

cov - so sorry about the puking, we had something like that last year, hang in there!

suejonez · 05/03/2007 21:14

Ooh blimey journalist from press association has asked to interview me now! I'm thinking about it - don't want to trade fame for intrusion! Perhaps they will offer me shedloads of money like the kiss and tell stories! Should I recruit Max Clifford?

Paddle - I may skip Tesco shop and do it on Firday D was very unsettled this evening I may just take it easy on him tomorrow. What time do you want to meet - there was mention of 10.30? If its pouring do you want to do S&L or Lollipop instead?

nopudstilleaster · 05/03/2007 21:16

Well, what I'll do is see how he is in the morning so you all go ahead & arrange whatever and I'll just barge in if ds is ok

Like I said, if you don't want the pox let me know & I'll stay away!

Btw, think its supposed to be raining all week [boo]

suejonez · 05/03/2007 21:19

I heard the rain thing too so I think its wise to have an alternative.

sfxmum · 05/03/2007 21:31

i am happy with lollipop as alternative

so Sue, was that kaz trip a bit more saucy than you let on in your blog?
go on get an agent

2Cute · 05/03/2007 22:02

Wow, I know someone famous!! (you Sue!) I would love to see the pics of DS, thanks.

I'm really glad you all enjoyed yourselves. I'll email pics once I get sorted.

Bum, I missed foxi. Hope it's going well at QC.

for everyone who's got the bug. CoV, hope you're hanging in there, it must be so difficult with all of you having it at the same time.

Sfx - Wish I could say that chocolate thing was home-made but it was bought. It's pretty difficult to make. I had about 3 pieces of it today .

Paddle/sue/sfx - Give me a yell if you're going to the lollipop or snakes and ladders (not Kew) as I was going to go to one of those with DS tomorrow anyways so could meet at the same time.

Paddlechick666 · 05/03/2007 22:20

evening all

hope foxie's legs akimbo by now!

lollipop is a fine alternative for me/us if the weather is rubbish.

am hoping it'll be fine like it was today - if only for the morning. plan to head into Richmond in the arvo as got some bits i need and friend keen for visit to pub. dh didn't show tonight so no escape for us!

i am happy for dd to get the pox but am a bit worried that friend won't want her dd exposed - she's only 5 months after all!

happy to drop out of the group thing tho and amuse ourselves in view of this. don't want to spoil a trip out for you Pud especially after your weekend of being housebound. what's the actual chance of being contagious?

sue, thanks for the pics, they're fab. our kids are very cute eh! i'd say sell your soul but make sure it's a good price!

suejonez · 05/03/2007 22:40

sfx - that choclate shortbread was (I think) burfi. Its made form condensed milk sugar and butter. Did you buy it then 2 cute? Where from - it was delicious - sfx is right it did taste home made. If your um made it maybe she will take orders

Go Monti, go Monti, go Monti...

suejonez · 05/03/2007 22:48

anyne who wants to join in the contacts list email me on suejonez at aol dot com with

real name, MN name, address, home phone, mobile phone. I'll keep collecting for a few more days. Obviously only those who send in will get one back in return and only people who have been to a meet up as a precaution.

sfxmum · 05/03/2007 22:48

though burfi was topped with pistachios

can't remember last time i cooked shortbread oh yum yum

suejonez · 05/03/2007 22:49

I think it is normally but I know there is one topped with choclate, you can also get coconut - thought I think coconut burfi topped with chocolate sounds particularly good...

Paddlechick666 · 05/03/2007 22:58

sue, did you get my email - actually you've got all my details already!

we're planning on kew if the weather is fine and will take a view on the pox and lollipop if it's not.

friend's dd is still only at the sitting stage so easy enuff to keep her at a distance to pud's ds altho we're aware you never know what's lurkin at these place so pot luck either way really!

bedtime, finger's crossed for peaceful nights for us all.

btw, friend brought carrot cake back from her walk today - it was amazing! must remember to ask where she got it lol!

suejonez · 06/03/2007 08:06

yes got your email paddle. text me the plan later...

nopudstilleaster · 06/03/2007 08:31

paddle, don't worry, if your friend is worried about it then I won't come. From what I can tell ds isn't infectious yet, if he does have it its just incubating. It will be in a week or so when he's likely to become infectious (that's just what I've picked up from other mums btw so not drs knowledge!)

nopudstilleaster · 06/03/2007 08:33

chicken pox thread

Paddlechick666 · 06/03/2007 08:36

puds, don't not come!

plan our end is to get to Kew for opening and then we're going to stroll around and do the palm house etc.

will do C&C and feed kids at some point and then stroll or head into richmond.

so text us when you're arriving and we'll hook up.

puds, am sure your ds isn't infectious and friend's dd isn't even crawling yet so very easy to keep them apart.

i'd quite like dd to get it LOL!

Paddlechick666 · 06/03/2007 08:38

btw, when he is infectious i'll be coming over for a coffee!

nopudstilleaster · 06/03/2007 08:51

Pox party at puds house!

sfxmum · 06/03/2007 09:00

hi morning all

not sure what we will do today i woke up feeling really rough after a night spent coughing, not sure that is helpful around a small baby.
i will see how i feel after breakfast

Eleusis · 06/03/2007 09:02

Puds, are sure you have caught the pox. DD had it a couple of weeks ago. And so far there are no spots on DS. I'm really disappointed. I thought we were going to get this over with for both of them. Bugger.

Hope Foxie is doing well. Since she hasn't been on,I'm going to hazard a guess that she didn't come home from QC last night. Perhaps that means Monti is making progress????

Paddlechick666 · 06/03/2007 09:11

leaving shortly, text us if you're out and about in Kew.

nopudstilleaster · 06/03/2007 09:15

Hi ele, I'm not certain, a friend came over on Friday and her ds came out in spots on Monday so I'm just keeping an eye out in the meantime.

MrsBigD · 06/03/2007 10:08

puds if your ds only just got exposed then he probaby won't get spotty for at least another week or 2 However, kids are infectious before the break out ;) Saying that ds didn't get spotty until 2 weeks after dd

ComeOVeneer · 06/03/2007 10:20

HI all, well there is light at the end of the tunnel in the CoV household. DD is absolutely fine, dh and are are weel but v. tired, he is back at work today, prob only for a few hours as he has to fly to NY early tomorrow am. DS has progressed from vomitting to the other end if you get my dift, and is very subdued. He is wrapped in a blanket on the sofa next to me watching Bob the Builder. I have to atempt to tackle the bombsite that is my house. It was pristine Saturday morning, but now have a pile of laundry (sheets/towels etc from kids being sick) and the rest of the house looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. How can it get like that in just 3 days?!?!?!

Foxie positive vibes heading your way, although hopefully unnecessary as you are sitting cuddling Monti as I write.

Hopefully ds will be 100% nearer the end of the week and I can catch up with some of you. DH isn't back until Saturday so could do with some company.
