Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

Stepford LOL at "raw gnawed sausage"!!

COV - I'll e-mail my details to Sue

Sue - sorry just got your message...I wasn't playing hard to get but timing my contractions. Lying on the bed they were 11 minutes apart (progress indeed...). Of course now they've stopped again.

Paddle "bathing the chosen one" - presumably that's you then? Tell us more, please do...

Come on Monti...

Paddlechick666 · 02/03/2007 15:32

oooh progress, progress!

it's definately going to be tonight, i can feel it in t2bg's gushing waters!

Stepford, luckily dd has only broken into the fridge so far. Stilton was a her snack of choice till I secured the door!

foxie, obviously I am rather special but methinks dh refers to little paddle in this instance!

suejonez · 02/03/2007 15:37

thankfully the fridge and freezer doors are too heavy for my wimpy DS (at the moment).

Foxie I know you're playing hard to get, thats why you're in this predicament now... play a bit more hard to get in future!

Would it hel pif we had some kind of virtual cheerleading team with pom-poms and stuff

"Go Monti, Go Monti, Go Monti"

Eleusis · 02/03/2007 15:47

So, should we organise dinner to be delivered to the foxie house tomorrow night? So faxie doesn't have to cook it...

Pressure is on Foxie. Better get him out by noon if you're to be home in time for dinner.

We could pick up some Escale take away. (I know you want it!)

Eleusis · 02/03/2007 15:49

Yeah, I thought that too, Sue. DS could never get the freezer opened... am now a tad concerned about this older girl... she might beat DS up if he upsets her.

foxabout2pop · 02/03/2007 17:22

Oh dear, I am drinking a spritzer, heavily PG asnd its only 5 o'clock (I poured it at 4.20pm )

A friend who's baby is due same day as me (tomorrow) just rang to tell me she had iot last week. AND.... her father flew from Italy to look after her DS when she went into labour. Mine can't even be bothered to drive down the fecking road for his grandshildren

Am I getting impatient - yes!!

So sfx is around on night duty.

Anyone around tomorrow morning is things get hairy?

Paddlechick666 · 02/03/2007 18:02

foxie, you've got the best attitude to labour i've ever come across.

your friend was very lucky but you've got it all covered and will barely need your dad.

i'm off to Stansted in the morning so can't be on standby i'm afraid. back early afternoon tho.

sfxmum · 02/03/2007 18:07

foxie are the contractions any nearer? hope the booze helps.
i know it is disappointing but do try to put your dad out of your mind you can't change him.

sorry about tmi but dd is being v.amusing with her snot she sneezes the runs to me 'mummy snot need tissue bless me' LOL

paddle that sounds promising see if he can give you a bath too

suejonez · 02/03/2007 19:15

I can be on duty tomorrow morning Foxie, subject to photographer but they are usually only 15 mins so can;t think it will be a problem. Plus my mum is around so can look after D if necessary for easier hospital car driving duty though baby-sitting duty may be easier with him to distract the LO's.

I can hear him now, screaming (nicely) to himself..

foxabout2pop · 02/03/2007 19:32

Sue: "I can be on duty tomorrow morning Foxie, subject to photographer but they are usually only 15 mins so can;t think it will be a problem."

Sue you glamour puss!!

DH will be here so can do car duty - it would be a case of sitting in here until my sister's taxi gets here from Croydon.

Thanks grrrls

nopudstilleaster · 02/03/2007 19:37

Hi all, got caught up now. Foxie, I'm around tomorrow morning if you need anything.

What's this contact list then? Do I need to email Sue or something?

Also, wanted to throw a suggestion out there - there has been some talk of a weekend daytime meet up and I wondered if anyone would like to do one on the 24th March? Reason being, I'm been abandoned for a stag night !

Stepford - your ds is the same age as mine, we should meet up sometime (I'm in Brentford btw).

Off to make myself some tea & I don't know if I'll be back on tonight - dh has the laptop & I just can't be bothered sitting in the office on the PC, I much prefer to MN with the TV!

foxabout2pop · 02/03/2007 19:41

Thanks Puds

Eleusis · 02/03/2007 19:42

I can be on call for babysitting tomorrow. I'll show up with my two in tow. Must go plug in mobile...

nopudstilleaster · 02/03/2007 19:43

Btw, this page has a link to the Stop Heathrow Expansion petition if anyone wants to sign it:
petition

Eleusis · 02/03/2007 19:43

No no no no. I can not make 24th for weekend meet-up.

Do it another day, pleeeeeeeease.

nopudstilleaster · 02/03/2007 19:53

Could we not do a couple of them? Its just normally the weekends are the only days I get with dh as he's working the rest of the time so its doubtful if I would make any other weekend meets [pretty pretty pleeease]?

Paddlechick666 · 02/03/2007 20:04

i'm about most weekends so happy to do meet-ups then.

pud, all stepford's kids are older than your ds!!

twiddlin me thumbs a bit over here tonight!

sfxmum · 02/03/2007 20:15

i think i might throttle dh whenever he shows up tonight
i am pretty sure he has no idea of the time but i hate calling him

24th might be hard as 2 family birthdays that weekend, unless they do it jointly on 25th.

nopudstilleaster · 02/03/2007 20:40

oops I read ds1 as ds age 1 !

stepfordwife · 02/03/2007 20:58

aw pud..just when i thought you were a woman after my own heart..ie: couldn't remember her offspring's age! hey, would be nice to meet up some time anyway!

foxie...last resort? have sex...get dh (or whoever you have sex with) to wear a pineapple ring on it and it'll be a labour-inducing double whammy...

foxabout2pop · 02/03/2007 21:03

PMSL Stepford

Actually I have thought about sex (...quite a lot actually) but no one, not even David Tennant, is coming near my pelvis atm!!!

Ele - thanx re. tomorrow

sfxmum · 02/03/2007 21:09

well dh here so feel free to go into labour foxie

dd refusing bfin favour of a bottle of milk maybe this is the fabled self weaning, little monkey still up and about, me think she is milking her cold

Eleusis · 02/03/2007 21:09

It doesn't work anyway, foxie. I tried all of the inducing labour "theories" and not of them worked. In the nine days leading up to DD induction we went out for 7 curries, we had sex, rasber leaf tea like it was going out of style, pineapple, you name I tried it. None of it worked. T this day I have never felt a natural contraction.

The only thing I can subscribe to is being upright and dort of rocking the head down (i.e. walking).

Eleusis · 02/03/2007 21:10

BTW, I got a text message earlier tonight. I got all excited thinking it was news of Monti... but of course it wasn't.

foxabout2pop · 02/03/2007 21:20

Ele - so if you walk to bring it on, so to speak, does it carry on when you stop walking.

Walking is working, but it keeps stopping and starting
