Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

SFX your LO is really cute even when she's cranky!

2cute/Quokka - thanks - I'll let you know when something eventually happens!!!

Ele- when I walk round I get contractions, then when I rest they stop. Lots of lower back pain and achey legs, which makes me want to lie down LOL!

Rang birth centre at QC earlier and they advised to cancel my induction on Monday and just let it happen naturally.

Sue - sorry I missed you earlier. "She who never rings me" (my Mum) rang me earlier for 90 mins. I was so pleased I didn't come off the phone until 11.30!!

foxabout2pop · 02/03/2007 13:30

xposts Sue - thanks

There is a vague chance I may need someone to watch DCs if I go into labour netween 3pm-6pm, but highly unlikey atm as things are moving, but very slowly.

Just enjoying having a day when I've an excuse to do feck all, the sun is shining and DH is on tap

ComeOVeneer · 02/03/2007 13:34

Hi all, Foxie I thought I would log in and see the announcement. Mind you I'm sure you are the most impatient of all of us . This morning was a great sucess. The gardening went well and ds was an angel in the creche I wastold when I went to collect him (then promptly lobbed a toy car staight at another boy's head ).. It also gave me a good chance to get to know some of the other mums a bit better.

Sue, I returned the email to you as Foxie was next on the list and I got on out of hours notice from her email address. So she hasn't added her details and passed it on to Paddle. Actually I have just realised I should have sent it on to paddle instead [dim emoticon]

Paddlechick666 · 02/03/2007 13:34

errr, Foxie, you are in labour aren't you?!

sue, i've emailed you but tbh am equally lacking in the gift idea stakes!

feeling a bit stressed about a 5 day houseguest with 5 month old in tow.

sfxmum · 02/03/2007 13:35

oh well and of cranky children, mine slept very little think i might take her for a walk by the river soon

told dh it is take away night so he better be here at a decent time or otherwise have cold left overs

foxabout2pop · 02/03/2007 13:45

Not sure whether I'm in labour or not TBH!!! LOL

Am I supposed to e-mail Paddle my e-mail address?

Doh?

suejonez · 02/03/2007 13:52

Just email your detials straight to me Foxie - d'you want a cup of tea this afternoon? Here or at your or somewhere posher?

stepfordwife · 02/03/2007 13:53

hi everyone. what a glorious day!hi foxie - yep, take it easy. mind you, walking up and down stairs can speed things up - but SPD probably won't be up for it, eh?
thinking of you.

just to introduce myself to everyone else..have 3 bambinos ds1, age, 7, ds2, 5, and dd, 2 in april

sfx..when is your dd's DOB? mine is 23.4.05.
talking of dd, she is very cranky today - teething i think - so blue-rinse brigade tutting at her wails when i was shopping in tesco. don't you hate being tutted at?

anyhow, joined mumsnet as heard it's fab - especially from foxie - going to be working from home very soon and didn't want to turn into a REAL stepford wife so the more interaction/distraction the better!

enjoy the sunshine

ComeOVeneer · 02/03/2007 13:53

Foxie, Sue is making a list of all our details (address, telephonenumbers etc) to help us keep in touch. Each person wassupossed to add their details and send the email to the next person on the list, then finally back to Sue. You were on the list after me and Paddle after you.

suejonez · 02/03/2007 13:55

Paddle do you want to meet with her and do something on Saturday? Or would that make you more stressed! Am waiting to hear about a photo session at the weekend to go with a newspaper article but it won;t take more than an hour so will be free the rest of the time.

(was that subtle, the introduction of my newly impending fame?)

suejonez · 02/03/2007 13:57

Are you very local Stepford? ie Kew? what are you going to be doing from home [nosy emoticon], I've tried working from home but I find it really creepy without DS here and if he's here I don;t get any work done.

sfxmum · 02/03/2007 13:58

stepford - hi dd is june 2nd

sue do- you have all my details or do you need me to email them?

still trying to convince dd it would be good to go for a walk but she seems to have taken up residence on my lap

Eleusis · 02/03/2007 14:01

Hey, stepford, your DD is one month older than my DS. And I think he likes older women.

Where do you live, btw? Somewhere in West London? Are you coming out to play in Chiswick.... oh crap, when is that? Better go look as I think I forget to tell DH....

suejonez · 02/03/2007 14:01

Can you email them - I do have them somewhere but easier if I can cut and paste without rummaging!

Eleusis · 02/03/2007 14:03

Oh good, next Thursday. There is time yet to let him know before it qualifies as telling him "at the last minute"

ComeOVeneer · 02/03/2007 14:06

Not fair [pout emoticon] Iwant to come. DH had better bring me a pressie back from NY.

Eleusis · 02/03/2007 14:08

COV, I could probably rustle up a sitter for you... if you want?

Paddlechick666 · 02/03/2007 14:10

er, 'scuse me Sue, tell us more about photograph sessions and newspaper articles please!

thought i was the only one with impending fame - Prima Baby out 17th March, April issue.

i emailed my details back to you, did you get?

am collecting friend at 11am from Stansted (I think) so won't get back here till 1:30ish I expect. altho might be later as think dd will have to have lunch at the airport. bugger! didn't think of that, the parking fee'll be huge.......

meet up mid arvo could be good altho not sure how tired friend will be. can i text you tomorrow?

sfx, your dd shares my birthday! very good taste I have to say.

stepford, great info on your kids but as you can see, we're more interested in where you are and if you can come out to play with us!

foxie, did you try the pinapple bajis with semen sauce yet?

sfxmum · 02/03/2007 14:14

paddle - that extra day of labour pain i endured seems really worthwhile now

Paddlechick666 · 02/03/2007 14:15

oh and can i just have a proud dh moment....

he's off on his birthday treat tomorrow arvo (tour of chelsea ground) and said he'd come here after to bath dd and have dinner.

his mate said he'd go with him if they could go for beers after. i toyed with idea of contacting mate to say "please don't go on the lash" etc but didn't.

friend then cancelled leaving dh with spare ticket. but then suggested wathing chelsea game at 5:15 in pub together.

i pointed out that dh had said bath/dinner here.

radion silence for two hours and was getting rather ticked off.

just had text saying "don't worry told XYZ can't watch footie as bathing The Chosen One."

awww, first real evidence that dh has put us first in a very long time........

sorry for the ramble but wanted to share!

Paddlechick666 · 02/03/2007 14:17

of course SFX, 1st June is just a naff day for a birthday!!

ComeOVeneer · 02/03/2007 14:24

Eleusis, a sitter would be nice but ds won't behave for a stranger. A girl in the road who is studying chilcare does babysitting and I am going to get her to meet the LO's a few times so they get to now her then it should be fine. Plus she only charges £4 an hour and doesn't need a ride home. Unfortunately I don't think we will be ready for the 8th.

suejonez · 02/03/2007 14:30

Paddle got your email (though did know wehre you lived anyway!) nice to see your DH putting some effort in.

No problem - text me tomorrow.

Have been interviewed by Welsh newspaper (so not exacty Prima standard) as a follow up as they intereviewed me before I left for Kaz. I merited a full page article last time, have no idea if it will be similar this time but hopefully will get a nice photo of D and me out of it.

stepfordwife · 02/03/2007 14:33

sue and paddle - live in mortlake, spend most of my life in kew gardens. and, yes, more than willing to come out to play. but...
ele, can't make next thurs. next time, tho!
hmmm, dd likes younger men. got to go, she's come in with a raw gnawed sausage from the freezer. nice..

trying2bgood · 02/03/2007 15:15

fox - any movement yet?

Cov/sfx/paddle - water from the kitchen was jetting out of the connection to the washing machine! Was so relieved when the plumber fixed it all! The plumber said it was not my fault but due to the builders/decorators I had in the summer cleaning their equipment in the sink rather than outdoors! Naughty them!
