Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

I'm hoping Voafone will keep their promise and my sim card will come with the post today! So will be contactable (is that a word?) foxy.

I'm sure SF will meet some other mums there

Paddlechick666 · 01/03/2007 10:27

i've emailed you CoV.

ComeOVeneer · 01/03/2007 11:16

Thanks paddle. I have left her a message. DS is definately not right. He has fallen asleep on the sofa under a blanket. He never sleeps until after lunch. Poor mite.

Eleusis · 01/03/2007 11:21

COV, nanny called me at about 10:00 to say that she is not well (vomiting and diarrhea -- sorry if anyone is eating). So maybe there is something going round. Oh, I hope I don't get it. How many viruses can we have in one house at a time??

Maybe your DS has the same thing.

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 11:36

Hiya

Well now I am in a state of limbo and just waiting to hatch....

Still getting blood streaked mucous (Sorry if TMI) and lower back pains but nothing substantial. DH is coming home from work.

The children are in school until 3pm and I've arranged for another Mum to collect them if neccessary. My sister can get here by 6pm if needed.

We may need some cover early evening but not sure atm...

I feel quite nauseous now...

This morning was chaos - had just found the show and was getting DCs ready for school, thinking "should I risk driving what with the show and dodgy Tesco petrol in the car?", I was trying to phone DH and my sister and there was a knock on the door.

"I'm here to fix yer washing machine"

Uh?

well, at least the washing machine is fixed now

I hope everyone is enjoying the sun this morning.

Eleusis - yes its exactly the same kind of tidying away. He does it with the washing too and I can never find my clothes!!

quokka · 01/03/2007 11:54

foxy how exciting, call me if you need anything - you'll do great and everything will be fine

ComeOVeneer · 01/03/2007 11:55

Oh how exciting Foxie. Try and rest as much as you can and even though you are nauseous do try and eat. Yuo'll need it for energy later on. Here's hoping for a quick (once childcare etc is in place) and a relatively pain free birth. Keep us informed.

MrsRecycle · 01/03/2007 12:08

Foxie - oh how exciting - try to take things easy and let dh do the worrying/organising.

CoV sorry to hear about ds - poor little mite, hope he gets better soon.

Re. men tidying away - when dh was a SAHD he would have these mad fits of putting things away and then have the cheek to ask me where it was.

Ds is a different child, sleeping well and no longer crying. Typical eh - dh has just got home!

Pc - sorry to hear about your dd's sleeping out the window. Hope she's back to normal soon. I can so relate to you about Mothers - I much prefer my mil.

ele - oh no, your Nanny's got the lurgy again. Are you sure you didn't cook for her yesterday??

Eleusis · 01/03/2007 12:30

Foxie, what time is the early evening care which you might require? I could possibly leave work early (4:30ish).

Eleusis · 01/03/2007 12:57

Maybe Monti can come to the meet-up in Chiswick?

suejonez · 01/03/2007 13:38

Don;t worry about me being let down [martyred emoticon] I went anyway and had a nice time, D was a bit scared to start with but settled fairly quickly and I did get chatting to someone so didn't feel like Naomi No-Mates.

However got into a discussion with her about his birth and didn;t own up that he was adopted thankfully we didn;t get into detialed birth stories or I would have had to fib my head off or come clean. Need to think through how I deal with these questions as I don;t feel that its particularly relevant that he's adopted to a stranger.

Foxie, so exciting! I can come around post school too. D normally has a bath at 6.30 but at a push if your sister is late I could leave that and just bring him home to bed at 7pm. Its really no problem - in fact Ele and I could have a gossip if she comes too!

suejonez · 01/03/2007 13:49

I got thinking about contacting each other and thought that we should have a kind of Address/phone list so that we're not always dependent on who's online.

If you're interested, email me and I'll set up an email chain letter - you add your name and address and phone and forward to the next person on the list then last person sends back to me and I distribute.

Anyone interested?

We can limit it to people who have been to a meet-up then add new people who physically come to any meet-up (just to avoid giving personal details out to any hairy handed truckers)

ComeOVeneer · 01/03/2007 13:52

Sorry once again Sue. I was really looking forward to it. Have been stuck indoors a bit too muchthis week with the lousy weather. DS is a wee bit better, the temp has gone down and although he has been sick again the other end seems ok (sorry tmi). But he is very lethargic and after waking up and having a small and slow lunch I have put him down for another nap.

ComeOVeneer · 01/03/2007 13:55

I'm interested, but don't have your email address. Mine is a few posts down so if you emal me then I'll reply with my details.

2Cute · 01/03/2007 13:56

Fingers crossed for you foxi Hope it all goes well! [smile If you feel you can't stomach food right now, these lucozade energy tablets are great and they help ease the nausea.

CoV - poor DS

Ele - How's your DS doing now?

Hey girls, atleast your DHs attempt to tidy, mine wouldn't know the meaning of the word! bless him.

2Cute · 01/03/2007 14:04

Glad he enjoyed it Sue Good idea about contact details.

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 14:29

Sue : I've been after a hairy handed trucker for years now!!

Well, when I walk round I'm getting contractions but when I rest they stop

DH is home now and has gone to collect the monsters. DC has tennis at 4.30pm and I may walk him round there as I want to keep everything as normal as possible for them and the walking may help get things going. I will probably ask my sister to come over at 6pm, as I think it will kick off tonight.

hmmm, am sitting now and vague conractions have come back again.

Ele/sue - thanks for your offer. It hasn't really kicked off yet, but if it does and my sister hasn't arrived I may buzz you.

sfx - it was nice to see you earlier - your DD is an amazing little thing. She's like a 2.5 year old in the body of a 22 month old - her talking is amazing. Even her description of me as "its the elephant" is accurate

sfxmum · 01/03/2007 15:06

hairy handed truckers

anyway apologies foxie, dd is seriously lacking in social graces, she gets that from her dadcontraction hey not long now

ok with the list sue, glad you had a nice time
you probably need to have a story, lol never thought of that

paddle dd and i accosted your mum at kew today your dd was on top form. i think your mum is getting suspicious of where you know all these strange people from, and she sort of asked, i just mumbled 'oh you know from around...'and changed the subject

sorry to hear about the tummy bugs horrid things wishing a speedy recovery.

stepfordwife · 01/03/2007 15:58

hey foxie..here i am (i think!)grand to see you earlier. funny phrase this "show" malarkey. frankly, i've never recovered from the disappointment of an all-dancing, all-singing cast of chicago not springing from my gusset..oh well.
oohh, contractions, eh? the boy is on his way! keep us posted and give me a shout if you need anything, m'dear x

Eleusis · 01/03/2007 16:23

Oh God, who are you? I don't know if I can associate with a stepford wife....

stepfordwife · 01/03/2007 16:53

hi...don't be frightened..i'm an old pal of foxie's (maybe you're more frightned now?!)..what's wrong with being a stepford wife....

Eleusis · 01/03/2007 17:18

OMG, does your DH have one of those remotes?

stepfordwife · 01/03/2007 17:30

...of course..

Eleusis · 01/03/2007 17:35

So, you give him sex on demand. Wow.

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 17:38
