New West London meet thread

pudding77 · 23/02/2007 09:33

Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

suejonez · 28/02/2007 22:17

So who's meeting at CPC tomorrow at 10 ish?

Paddlechick666 · 28/02/2007 22:19

i'm going to work, to get away from my mother...............

dd is not sleeping at all well in her travel cot tonight. new mattress arrives friday.

Sat - Thurs incl, she is back in the travel cot.

really hope all this doesn't stuff up her sleep routine!

suejonez · 28/02/2007 22:22

I'm sure it is annoying, I have become a real pain in the arse about routine for D especially around bedtime stuff. I have a travel cot mattress you can add to your current on in advance of the new one arriving if you need to.

I'll be in work too next week so making the most of it this week. So I'm off to bed to read a chapter of a book!

Paddlechick666 · 28/02/2007 22:34

thanks sue, she's back in her cot tomorrow and friday night so as long as the new mattress arrives friday we'll be right.

i do find it very unsettling myself to have her in my room every week. not least because i can't go to bed and read!

have fun tomorra!

2Cute · 28/02/2007 23:50

I am now an Osterley Tesco initiate...How huge is that place?!

Paddle - Re DS's present - I couldn't think of anything else he wants (that isn't going to require a bank robbery/mortgage) apart from contributing to the ride on I mentioned my brother was ordering.

Sfx - The creche is on the top floor of the Bentall Centre and has a great selection of kids toys.

Sue - Just to warn you, I might not be able to make it to our meet 2morrow as DS just settled at 11pm! I'll post in the morning to let you know what's happening.

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 06:57

Hi everyone - well the braxton hicks stopped last night and I managed about 8 hours sleep - hurrah!!

Am getting worried though about something new - I filled the car up at Tescos on Friday and have had a couple of problems starting it .

Anyone watch the news this morning about cars breaking down through contaminated fuel bought at Tescos and Morrisons?

SFX - now where did I put that cake box? Can I have a hunt when I get back from the school run about 9.30am? If I can find it I'll text you. I'll have a friend here this morning with a daughter about the same age as your DD, so that would be cool if you wanted to swing by and have time for a cuppa

That box is somewhere but DH may have "tidied" it away, so will have a search.

Now, if anything happens today labour wise I'll buzz the people on my list who I think are available. The nursery have agreed that DD can stay all day if I go into labour, which leaves me clear from needing childcare until 3pm anyway if it happens. Then I could get a Mum from the school to drop the Dcs back here at 3.30pm...

OMG I really do have nothing else to think about do I ?

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 07:35

I think I've had a "show"!!

foxabout2pop · 01/03/2007 07:38

Off to work out whether to get help with school run this morning (what with the show and dodgy petrol)

... thinks

Paddlechick666 · 01/03/2007 07:39

at this point foxie, you're not supposed to have anything else to think about!

i'm off to the office today but if needs must i can direct my mother to you. she'll be at kew.

i heard something about the tesco fuel thing but i filled up there a week or so ago and my car's been fine....

dd woke at 1am and didn't go back to sleep till nearly 4am. please god, this mattress works otherwise the next few days will be murder - i have a list of victims!!

pudding77 · 01/03/2007 08:01

I'm telling you paddle, a thick blanket or towel works wonders with the travel cot! Tbh we tried the mattress but ds never really settled with that either, once we added a blanket as well under the sheet he was fine.

And I'm sorry, but I'm not going to make cpc this morning, I completely forgot a friend's coming over who I haven't seen in a while.

suejonez · 01/03/2007 08:30

Looks like just you an me Cov unless 2 cute is on this morning. Are you still up for CPC?

suejonez · 01/03/2007 08:33

Foxie will make sure I have my mobile with me today. Who has a key to get into your house?

Eleusis · 01/03/2007 08:34

Foxie, sounds like things will be happening soon... very exciting. Now quit worrying. It will all work out.

"...but DH may have "tidied" it away, so will have a search."

Oh, does this mean your DH tidies things away the same as mine. The rule is he put the item in the first available space he finds which is at least as big as the item he aims to "put away". Never mind whether it is actually where the item belongs. Yesterday I was in a bit of a pnaic with toddler with fever mornig after the measels jab and I could find the thermometer anywhere. So, I went to Tescos with DD and got a new one (she was a cow at Tescos by the way ). Anyway, so this morning I was putting the children's medicine away in their closet, and guess what I found? Yep, the thermometer. It doesn't belong there! It belongs in their bathroom. So, because some decided to play hide and seek with the thermometer rather than putting it in its rightful place I spent £40 on a thermometer we didn't need.

mellow2 · 01/03/2007 08:36

Foxie,
Fingers x'd for you it'll be today. . I just realised that Monti is due on my wedding anniversary. If he's born on Sat, I'll remember his birthday for life.

I'm working from home today? Are people off to CPC today?

I might be able to join you depending on the time.

Eleusis · 01/03/2007 08:38

Isn't there another thread for day time meet ups? (hint hint)

mellow2 · 01/03/2007 08:41

I knew I was going to get told off about posting here about meets.

I've also posted on daytime meets now but no one's there.

sfxmum · 01/03/2007 08:51

morning all

eleusis/2cute thanks for tip

i see my husband is not the only one who 'tidies up' it drives me nuts, and he still asks me where everything is, i seem to have developed a 'husband items locator sense' generally know what he wants before he asks

foxie well it seems it has started don't worry about box (it is see through with blue edge) am planning picnic for weekend and though about it but really not essential.
if i am ever ready this morning will text you. woke up with a very sore throat.

suejonez · 01/03/2007 08:57

Hi Mellow - yes I'm off to CPC probably for around 10am ish how does that work for you? Cov may join us

quokka · 01/03/2007 09:10

2Cute · 01/03/2007 09:41

Sue - sorry for late response. I'm not going to be able to make it. DS is still asleep after a REALY rough night. D'll love CPC, enjoy!

Looks like its started foxi!!!

Now, must get off pc and do that stuff called housework that hasn't been done for a while...

suejonez · 01/03/2007 09:53

I'm still going if anyone wants to meet me there will be there in about 30 mins I guess...

sfxmum · 01/03/2007 09:53

place is a tip - just thought i could share

mellow2 · 01/03/2007 09:53

Sue,
Sorry, I'm afraid I won't be able to make it since it's 5 to 10 am. I'd just been tidying up as the cleaner is here today and haven't had a chance to check MN. Maybe next time.

ComeOVeneer · 01/03/2007 10:07

Sue I'm so sorry, I am going to have to pull out to. DS has just been violently sick all over the sofa and has a temperature. Does anyone have Sues mobile number so I can let her know as she must be on her way by now. If so can you email me at lklinger at hot mail dot co uk. Thanks. Once again sorry Sue to abandon you at the last minute. Hope you have a good time.

ComeOVeneer · 01/03/2007 10:13

Have just checked the thread and have seen everyone has backed out. Now I feel even worse
