Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

OP posts:
foxabout2pop · 27/02/2007 21:27

Thanx 2cute

Have picked up your DS's pressie BTW - its a very boyish navy blue

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 21:33

Oh please... cal on us and quit worrying about being an imposition -- we will get you back, really!

And I don't know where you got that 45 minute quote for me. It has never taken me 45 minutes to bolt up the 316 -- but then that may be a relection of my driving.

I'd be willing to collect my kids an go in the middle of the night. But, I must warn you that I am in fact the deepest sleeper there ever was and it's unlikely I would wake p for the phone call -- sad but true.

ComeOVeneer · 27/02/2007 21:34

Foxie, once again I apologise that I can't join the group to offer practical assistance, but am here for moral/emotional assistance. I don't think you have my numbers yet do you? If you want them email me at l klinger at hot mail dot co dot uk (in the usual email address manner). I can help out with some baby boy clothes though if that is of any help.

That reminds me I have also promised Sue I would dig out some stuff for her. I'll try to do tha this wek and take it to the party this weekend.

sfxmum · 27/02/2007 21:37

will you just stop with the bothering people business woman!!! dear dear dearit really is ok

anyway should anyone want to go swimming tomorrow we should be at the pool at around 11.30/12

not sure yet about thu but apparently no rain so the possibilities are endless

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 21:44

COV, paarty this weekend? Did I miss somethign (while I was slaving away at work)? Oh that's right I spent today on MN avoiding work. Pity that...

ComeOVeneer · 27/02/2007 21:48

Isn't it 2cute's ds's party this weekend?

sfxmum · 27/02/2007 21:49

ele - 2cute's ds 3rd birthday party on sunday

foxabout2pop · 27/02/2007 22:05

sfx - would you have your mobile phone near you for the next few nights then, just in case?? Would it wake you if it vibrated?

2cute - We talked aerlier about me dropping DCs off to you, but I think I would need someone to come here until my sister arrives, as DCs would be freaked to be woken in the night and taken somewhere.

If anyone willing, we could taxi over and back if necc.

Need to confirm with my sister again about her missing work, but could taxi her over if at night - that could take an hour. During the day, she's about 40 minutes away by tube.

In the day it would be Sue/sfx/2cute/paddle maybe, as you're closest, to wait until sister arrives and then maybe quokka/sue if I needed a lift to hossie

OMG.....

....I wonder how paddle's evening is going. Hope she's getting through to DH and they're making steps in the right direction

suejonez · 27/02/2007 22:06

Foxie - no-one has volunteered who is not prepared to step in so we are not going to decide that we have changed our mind or get cross with you if you ring us. I can't believe you don't have better thing to think about! You've only asked us to babysite and/or drive a car - not repaint the Forth Bridge...

2Cute - 10am on Thursday would suit me great, think Pudding was also interested. What do you want to do?

So I still have Wednesday and Friday free... depending on Foxie's cub's schedule of course

foxabout2pop · 27/02/2007 22:08

LOL Sue - you're right - I need to get some perspective don't I? (bit hormonal atm)

If I'm still a mother of only 2 on Thursday, I'll be around at 10am, as its after school drop off.

suejonez · 27/02/2007 22:08

where is Bunyanvillas haven't seen her online recently?

suejonez · 27/02/2007 22:09

Depending on where we go Foxie I could give you a lift in my car if it helps - what time do you need to pick up DD?

foxabout2pop · 27/02/2007 22:11

Sue - 11.45am from Richmond

suejonez · 27/02/2007 22:11

Foxie - i know how hard it is relying on other people when you're not used to it (reference my "intercountry adoption is therapy for control freaks" conversation earlier) but I learnt to rely on other peoples help when I was in Kaz I had no choice - so I'm damned if we won't force you into it too!

Besides we like helping, it makes us feel important.

ComeOVeneer · 27/02/2007 22:11

OK what are you up to on thursday am, and can I join in?

suejonez · 27/02/2007 22:13

Don;t think we've decided what yet - but I'd quite like to check out Lollipop club or CPC in chiswick while I have someone to hold my hand! But am open to suggestions, just need somewhere that D can crawl happily.

Even prepared for S&L if pushed!

ComeOVeneer · 27/02/2007 22:18

I would be a "virgin" to all those places too as a newbie in this neck of the woods. So am keen to check things out and forge new friendships.

sfxmum · 27/02/2007 22:27

foxie - yes phone by bed i am a light sleeper anyway please try to relax and i am sure it is safe to dash from mine to yours don't think i need a cab

sue was thinking lollipop or kew on thu but whichever it will be nearer 11 than 10 for me, can never quite get it together before then
btw would it be ok to give us a lift on sunday?

suejonez · 27/02/2007 22:36

sfx there's all sorts lurking aorund Kew of a night dont ya know...

I'd prefer Lollipop to Kew just because I haven't done it, we would probably overlap SFX because if I go at 10am I'd probably stay until 11.45ish (or I can give you an early morning call to get you going quicker!) Your DD is obviously not up at 6.30am lke D!

Yes SFX no problem with a lift to 2Cute's party, though haven't checked out the way yet... think St stephens in right in the middle of hounslow high st isn't it. Is there parking there 2Cute or do we have to park in the Treaty centre? I know its free on Sundays (or always used to be)

sfxmum · 27/02/2007 22:51

what lurks around kew at night?
golly isn't it safe?

11am at lollipop is more likely really, dd usually up 7-8
i think she is getting tougher there, saw her wrestling a car from a boy todayusually she just stands aside if someone wants a toy she has

thanks for sunday

ComeOVeneer · 27/02/2007 23:06

SO keep me informed as to where and when and I will try to tag along.

2Cute · 28/02/2007 00:05

Sue - Nah, it's not in the High street. It's Parkside Road, directly opposite Hibernia Road (off Hanworth Road). Here: streetmap Just give a a ring if you have any probs finding it as I'll have my mobile. Re Thursday's meet-up, I was going to suggest the play creche in Kingston's Bentall Centre because I had a look at it last week and it looks fab. They run a parent toddler session in the mornings so thought it'd be cool to try it out and have a coffee while there. I don't mind going to the CPC if you don't fancy that but I would REALLY have to push myself to go back to the lollipop for a second time in a week!

Must sleep now.....night night

Eleusis · 28/02/2007 07:28

Looks like I get the first post of the morning. Guess what? After my moaning yesterday, I am in fact NOT at work today.

DS had his measels jab last night and this morning had a fever, so I'm home just in case it develops into a reaction or even measels (unlikely but still I'd rather be here than at work just to see how he gets on)

I'm off to Tesco with DD shortly because we have lost the termometer... . Oh well might use today to do a bit of tidying -- ah my exciting life.

foxabout2pop · 28/02/2007 07:32

Morning everyone

Eleusis · 28/02/2007 07:38

So, I gather you are still pregnant?
