Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 16:04

Okay, am I the only one who has to go to work on every work day?!?! Life is so not fair.

ComeOVeneer · 27/02/2007 16:07

Seems that way Elusis. My weekends are getting rather full, so I'm not avaliable until the last weekend in March if you want to meet up with DC's.

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 16:16

Yes, last weekend of March would be nice.

suejonez · 27/02/2007 18:32

Ele - I am back at work three days a week from next week then four days from April so gadding about will be sadly limited

suejonez · 27/02/2007 19:07

Would be so nice to take D swimming as he's never been before but I think I might wait until the weather warms up a bit.

Thursday am would be good Pudding (and anyone else) D seems to been sleeping at lunchtime at the moment, so its before 12.20 or after 3 for me at the moment.

sfxmum · 27/02/2007 20:05

sue you know that there is an indoor heated pool there don't you? mind you not always very heated

trying2bgood · 27/02/2007 20:20

Foxie - sorry to hear about your father's attitude. My in-laws can be a bit like that, we went on a 'family' holiday which they insisted on us going on together and then spent the entire holiday refusing to play with the kids. I was pregnant with dd2 and dh wanted to go to the loo ( I was asleep upstairs) and he asked his dad to keep an eye on dd1 and he said 'but I don't want to'. We are going on another family holiday in Easter but this time we are going to pretend that we are going alone and hence expect nothing.

What are people up to then? Are there any other meet ups planned (sorry too lazy to read the whole thread and have lost the plot).

Eleusis · 27/02/2007 20:34

Not me. I'll be at work.

2Cute · 27/02/2007 21:14

Ele - pull a sicky

sfx/pud/foxi - was lovely seeing you all .

Foxi - I meant every word of what I said and will won't forget to keep phone on vibrate through the night until monti's arrival . Now, I demand that you worry about NOTHING other than your labour!!

Sue - I'm busy 2morrow and Thursday avo but can meet Thurs am around 10ish if that suits you?

foxabout2pop · 27/02/2007 21:25

T2BG - I can't believe said that! R U going on holiday with them again?

It was good to see people earlier and thanks 2cute and sfx for your offers of through the night emergency call out and being my first port of call rather than my arse faced Dad.

My sister has now offered to come over when I go into labour. She works full time in Kensington and lives miles away in Croydon, but I am thinking maybe the best option would be:

1 - when I go into labour, ring Mumsnetters according to availability re. my list, and get someone over pronto (or a lift to hossie if neccessary)
2 - ring my sister and ask her to come over
3 - MN crew could hold the fort until my sister arrives. It would take her longer to get here than my arse faced Dad obviously.

The downsides are:

1 - I have to bother you people, possibly at an inconvenient time of day/night
2 - My sister would need to bunk off work at short notice
3 - DCs would miss a day of school (not important BTW)

I asked DCs what they would prefer and that was their choice.

That would mean I don't have to have my dad come near me when I am in labour and I wouldn't have to worry about him being horrible to DCs 'cos he resents having to be here.

What do people think and would you really, seriously, be willing to dash over if you get the call?

A stressed,

Fox
