Hi - just moved into the area, have 3 yr old ds. As I work most days, not yet been able to attend mothers & kids groups - anyone know of activities around on Fridays or any MNer meets?
Thanks in advance!

bump in case anyone else is interested

lunavix · 13/10/2004 21:37

stickynote! Thanks for the link.. not a driver though and its a bit too far for me :c(

stickynote · 13/10/2004 21:40

Whereabouts are you? There might be someone coming from that direction?

lunavix · 13/10/2004 22:19

i'm in west berkshire, so it's a bit out of the way...

stickynote · 14/10/2004 16:31

Hmm, I'm coming from the other direction. Don't know about the others though...

ZolaPola · 16/10/2004 09:16

lunavix - if you're coming from the west - can get trains from reading line etc (quick change at slough for v regular trains to windsor central station)HTH

lunavix · 18/10/2004 11:33

ooh that is a good point!

stickynote · 18/10/2004 21:16

Is everyone still up for this? Just checking after the recent "I went to a meet-up and no-one spoke to me/no-one turned up" thread shocker.

ZolaPola · 19/10/2004 12:09

oh god, not read that one! I'm still fine for Fri - easy for me as just down the road. Enough of us have said will attend so should be ok!
Promise to speak to people - even if it's mainly about best shades of off-white!!
(busy decorating at mo & little time for much else as want it done before start new job in Nov, promised myself will get out more with ds after painting done! )

OP posts:
stickynote · 19/10/2004 12:20

Good, it's a bit more of a trek for me, so thought I'd just make sure. Don't know if cp3 will still come as I don't think she's on MN at the moment.

ZolaPola · 20/10/2004 08:38

ok - see you there then.

OP posts:
stickynote · 22/10/2004 08:12

Hopefully see you all later - I'm going to put a on the table just in case there's lots of likely looking groups.

SusiS · 22/10/2004 08:58

i am so sorry!!!!
i was so looking forward to this but dp forgot to tell me that he had arranged mil come around!!

hope you all have a fab time
see you hopefully next time

Bigmerlin · 22/10/2004 16:07

Bugger bugger bugger. I actually made it, but I got the time wrong. I thought it was 11.30! Got there at 11.40, feeling very pleased with myself for only being 10 mins late, and the waiter said a big group of mums and babies had just left... Now that I've read through earlier messages, I see why!
PS Thought you might be interested to hear that King Edward's Court car park in Windsor only gives you 15mins after you've paid your ticket to get out. I had a row with the attendant, when I got to the barrier and it wouldn't open. I asked him if he could fit a car seat, fold down the buggy and get to the barrier in 15mins. He let me out...

ZolaPola · 22/10/2004 16:13

oh Bigmerlin - poor you! Shame we missed you - it was good to meet up (and admittedly fascinating for me as 1st time seeing any MNers in RL). There were 3 of us - me, Stickynote & Tatcity- plus kids and yes, that waiter had definitely noticed the kids! We're planning to meet again before christmas anyway so hopefully see you, Susi & others there.

Tatcity and Zolapola - lovely to meet you and your kids . Looking forward to the next one.

Bigmerlin, what a shame - we must have missed you by minutes!

ZolaPola · 26/10/2004 08:39

Hi - it was lovely to meet you both too! Hope you all have a great half-term - strange as school term doesn't yet make a difference to me though seems v quiet in town at the moment. Just counting down to starting new job next week so trying to finish off in house as far as I can. Off to zoo tomorrow though with ds & his grandpa - both really looking forward to it.
BTW - tatcity, sweep's number is 01753 823764

Hi ZP, how's the painting going?? Good luck with the new job next week - what a joy to stop commuting .

Anyone up for a pre-Christmas meet-up?

sievehead · 04/11/2004 14:28

How are you all doing? Shall we try and arrange a pre Xmas one then?

stickynote · 05/11/2004 09:54

Ooh someone new! Well I'm up for it and suspect the others would be too. Whereabouts are you?

ZolaPola · 05/11/2004 10:16

Hi there - good idea (sent you a CAT yesterday, BTW, stickynote). Shall we do with or without kids?? Some great places here in Windsor for drinks/eats if we do an evening.

OP posts:
stickynote · 05/11/2004 10:38

Thanks ZP, just went and got your CAT (useful to have email addresses, so I'll send you a reply).

Why don't we do both??

ZolaPola · 05/11/2004 10:50

could do, any thoughts on when/where?
