Hi - just moved into the area, have 3 yr old ds. As I work most days, not yet been able to attend mothers & kids groups - anyone know of activities around on Fridays or any MNer meets?
Thanks in advance!

Well, I'm 76

I'm 35 and have ds aged 5, dd1 aged 3 and dd2 aged 17 mths.

Zolapola, is there anywhere that has a playground with cafe or similar attached if the weather's nice? Or Cafe Rouge if it's not?

ZolaPola · 15/08/2004 18:29

Hi there- can't think of cafe with attahced playground in windsor. cafe rouge and that area is near long walk which is good for running around/picnics etc (which might be better option if you prefer?).

Cafe Rouge sounds good. Whereabouts in Windsor is it? I haven't been for a good few years...

ZolaPola · 16/08/2004 09:14

cafe rouge is just to the right of the entrance to central station shopping area (opposite castle) - can sit outside or inside, tons of space or can go to long walk for picnic and run around for kids.
BTW - I'm 34 with 3 yr old ds!

ZolaPola · 16/08/2004 16:17

ZolaPola · 16/08/2004 18:06

Hello!
Stickynote, me and Littlemerlin are both fine, thanks! She was born by C-section on Wed 28th July, it's taken me until now to find a minute to use the computer. She's perfect, and huge, nearly 10lb at birth. Everyone said that there's no way any thing would have turned her from being breech, so I feel fine about the fact that I had to have a C-section.

Did this meet-up ever happen?! I'm in for the next one, I can walk to Cafe Rouge from my flat.

tatcity · 11/09/2004 18:22

sorry for not replying - haven't been on for a while. Anyone still up for a meet up - did one happen in the end?

ZolaPola · 15/09/2004 19:56

Hi there Tatcity - good to hear from you.
Meet up didn't happen, maybe more chance now summer's over. Great to hear about Little Merlin too BigMerlin (will you have to change yr name now?!) we could try for a meet in October if anyone's around.

hello everybody! i just moved to bracknell (well, 3 months ago ) and I've got DS 20wks

are you still trying to meet up?? would be nice to get to know you

Ameriscot2004 · 26/09/2004 18:23

There's a very good parent & toddler group in Egham on Friday afternoons. Lots of Windsor mums make the 4 mile trek.

cp3 · 26/09/2004 18:37

Is it really only 4 miles from Windsor. I live Wokingham and it takes about half hour or just under, mind you the routes i take im prob going the longest way round

stickynote · 27/09/2004 20:15

Right, shall we try again? Are Fridays still best for you Zolapola? Have now got the hang of this CAT lark, so am happy to try and drum up support, especially as I couldn't make the last one.

ZolaPola · 01/10/2004 10:49
