Wow! We filled a thread!

Hope you all find this new one!

Our evening was great, had a lovely time. kids were all very well behaved. dd sleeping in our bedroom is a nightmare tho - she's sooo noisy!

we need a 3rd bedroom

we're off for Sunday lunch at The Botanist later YUM!

2cute, we're scheduled to have skids that weekend but not confirmed yet. if we do, not sure if i could come and don't want to invite 2 extra kids and dh as that'd be rather cheeky! if we don't then we'll be there

it's far too early for a Sunday!

It is a problem getting the creaminess of the M&S one I think they may blend oil and lemonjuoce into a kind of vinigrette first and home blender often aren't fast enough to make it smooth. Might be worth adding a blob of avocado to make it creamier.

And it freezes

foxabout2pop · 21/02/2007 10:26

OMG - seem to have strayed onto a Domestic Godess thread by mistake!!!

suejonez · 21/02/2007 10:30

it would be Foxie but my "just read the ingredients off the side of the M&S packet" spoilt the effect somewhat...

sfxmum · 21/02/2007 10:34

i add tahini to mine and def. only olive oil because i prefer the taste, if for dd i go easy on the garlic

MrsRecycle · 21/02/2007 10:37

Am at your remarks regarding the removal men - my dh is one and could be the pot bellied boss you were on about! He's off to the South of France for 8 days (working) and I'm missing him already

suejonez · 21/02/2007 10:37

I'm not so keen on tahini and besides never have any in the cupboard. I'm more of a garlic fan than an olive oil fan - obviously more French leanings than Portugese!

sfxmum · 21/02/2007 10:47

apologies mrsR is he from new zealand? it was nearly 2yrs ago

sue very fond of garlic myself in fact raw garlic sliced in fresh bread with butter is to die for, just not toddler food

ok showers seem to have stopped must marshal child out the door

ComeOVeneer · 21/02/2007 10:57

Morning all. Just taking a tea break from the housework to catch up on MN. I have my sister coming up for the weekend with her brood and it is the first time she has seen the house so want it looking good. I still have a head full of cold, it has settled right into my sinuses and I have that achy pressure pain when I bend over. DS is gettingover his finally but had 3 nosebleeds yesterday. The first one started on the school run and I had no tissues typically so by the time I turned up at dd's class he had blood all down his coat. Another mother turned round to me and said, "do you know his nose is bleeding?". Erm, I had kinda noticed.

2Cute · 21/02/2007 11:02

ok, now I'm craving humous and shirtless (dishy) men

Paddle - your analysis about men is spot on. I never looked at it that way. BTW, was DD playing with your phone yesterday? You rang my mobile and all I could hear was background noise so assuming ur DD did what my DS has done many a time.

Foxi - Sorry DH's still being a pain. Don't forget, penis = birth defect Lesbians must have it sooo easy!

Hope everyone's well

2Cute · 21/02/2007 11:03

Hope you have a speedy recovery CoV

ComeOVeneer · 21/02/2007 11:05

Thanks 2Cute. How's the back? Are you going to be able to make tomoorw's meet-up?

MrsRecycle · 21/02/2007 11:13

I'm definitely going to be able to make the meet up tomorrow - need to get away from the house and polly pocket toys

2Cute · 21/02/2007 11:13

Luckily DH's been off work for the past 3 days so it's getting better thanks but won't be able to meet tomorrow because can't drive with the pain killers I'm taking and will scream all the way there in pain if I try driving without having taken them!

Shame really as I had a fab mental image of both me and Foxi waddling around the farm!

xoxo · 21/02/2007 11:14

ok, so one is kinda cute, but teh other one has the personality. Always teh way isn't it.
I love that they sent me downstairs so they can carry on with it. Half expected to be helping out. oh joy.

also - def add tahini - makes a massive difference and it's the creaminess that you're missing

will pop upstairs in mode of lady muck soon

xoxo · 21/02/2007 11:15

oh poor 2cute.
sympathy...

2Cute · 21/02/2007 11:16

crank the heat up in the house so they'll have to strip and sit back and enjoy xoxo!

sfxmum · 21/02/2007 11:19

oh the poor men objects of lust no one cares about their minds

dd now in front of mirror practicing monster facesjust wandered over here saying 'eating chocolate' no idea what she is on about

xoxo · 21/02/2007 11:20

for someone with a bad back, you're quite smutty

xoxo · 21/02/2007 11:20

men have no minds
only willies
and some of those are quite small

but not DH's

sfxmum · 21/02/2007 11:21

meant to add hope COV and 2cute feel better soon. out of loyalty i can't say what dh did when he had a very bad case of sinusitis oh how i laughed....

foxabout2pop · 21/02/2007 11:39

Oxo - TMI I think!!!

SFX that last comment about your DH and sinitus went straight over my head - I'm afraid you'll have to explain in graphic detail

ComeOVeneer · 21/02/2007 11:41

I am intruiged sfx.

2Cute · 21/02/2007 11:43

yes please do share sfx.....

xoxo -

sfxmum · 21/02/2007 11:56

me and my big mouth i just can't hear of sinus without laughing about it to be fair it was nearly 9yrs ago but
he started having really bad sinus pain and of course was convinced it was his head exploding and impending death.
i suggested some steam with olbas oil - yes old wives tales that should help, he said as he stomped away.

he then called his gp demanding he came out, got same suggestion i had given (very polite of them i thought

he then called dad, a gp same response

he then went to bed to die

i boiled water put big bowl on radiator in bedroom plus small bowl with towel and made him inhale

much better within minutes, some apologies and exemplary behaviour for about a week
bless him

ComeOVeneer · 21/02/2007 11:59

LOL sfx, although he does have my sympathy, assomeone who has a sinus problem, that feeling of head exploding is rotten
