Wow! We filled a thread!

Hope you all find this new one!

Our evening was great, had a lovely time. kids were all very well behaved. dd sleeping in our bedroom is a nightmare tho - she's sooo noisy!

we need a 3rd bedroom

we're off for Sunday lunch at The Botanist later YUM!

2cute, we're scheduled to have skids that weekend but not confirmed yet. if we do, not sure if i could come and don't want to invite 2 extra kids and dh as that'd be rather cheeky! if we don't then we'll be there

it's far too early for a Sunday!

OH MY GOD I HAVE JUST BEEN TO OSTERLEY TESCO!!!

Thanks to Sue for luring me in so much for a quick and small shop!

mind you, they've recalled all their humous so I need your recipe Sue please.

Foxie, yeah come on over - house is a tip tho.

Paddlechick666 · 18/02/2007 12:47

ps: yes i was rather glad to see Sue's ds displaying similar paddy potential as my dd.

btw, dd also went thru a phase of this "late" nap idea and waking again. she got over it pretty quickly tho.

i didn't think she'd need a nap this morning but she dropped off on the way to Tesco. So i ended up driving around Osterley for half an hour - seriously big houses.

Also Osterley Park has a farm shop - looks very good. Suggest a great alternative to Kew when the weather gets better.

pudding77 · 18/02/2007 13:06

Osterley Park is really nice but they've started charging to go into the gardens behind the house. However, there are a couple of grassy areas and a lake to sit by. Plus the farm shop does some lovely veg & really good value!

foxabout2pop · 18/02/2007 13:40

Osterly sounds V. nice

OMG just realised - how the feck am I going to get to Queen Charlottes on the day if DH is at work - it can take him 2 hours to get home sometimes?

I might be trawling for someone to drive me there rather than look after DCs - OMG

Sue/Paddle - would that be poss if I get really stuck?

OMG, OMG

Paddlechick666 · 18/02/2007 13:42

of course Foxie. Where is QC anyway?

don't worry - i've got Sat Nav!!!

honestly I bet it'll happen in the wee hours or on a weekend when dh will be there.

got the de-caf here for you and some of my mum's banana loaf. doubt it'll be as good as sfx's tho.

just managed to leave dd's supper to burn on the stove luckily it's salvageable!

foxabout2pop · 18/02/2007 13:45

Its in Acton

ooohh yummy - looking forward to the cake - sorry I mean seeing you.

DS is most put out that I'll be seeing Tabitha and he won't

bunyanvillas · 18/02/2007 15:18

Hello ... I am off work tomorrow Is anyone around in the morning to meet up with DD and myself? Don't know what we are going to do yet - dh decided to sell the car on Sat so at the moment we are on foot and horseback only. Thought perhaps playground at Marble Hill if weather holds up. Have yet to come up with a plan B if weather crap!

suejonez · 18/02/2007 15:18

I do what ever I can Foxie - definitely put me on the list. (though not havng been through labour, won;t be much help with the "breathe, PUSH" bit)

Osterley farm shop is pretty good though I beleive they also buy stuff in and its not organic. So if its food miles you're interested in rather than organic just ask them what was gown on the farm.

Had a disterous lunch at the Red Lion in Barnes which used to be (15 years ago!) very child friendly with swings etc. They all but had a sign up saying "children will be burnt at the stake", no highchairs (not even one old manky one, no where to change - not even a flat suface in the loos. Its not that I mind pubs discouraging children but would be nice to know BEFORE you order your (overpriced) food and scrum for a table

Sugestions please for child friendly pubs in Sheen, Kew, Barnes, Richmond. with reasonably priced menus.

suejonez · 18/02/2007 15:20

I am around in the morning bunyan but have guests in the afternoon and the place is a tip so would prefer to stay local to me...

I think you're Isleworth - you're welcome to come here. OR walk along river, or...? no idea I'm new to this!

bunyanvillas · 18/02/2007 15:23

Hi Sue, you have a good memory! That would be great - we could certainly come over your way, I'm sure that would be ok sans car as we could get a 65 bus to Kew - would that be the best way? So long as I bring DD's mini buggy we might be ok to get out for some sort of a walk, lol

suejonez · 18/02/2007 15:25

We could either go to Kew Gardens for a walk or along the river - can;t remember where the 65 stops I think its along the Kew Road along the park. Or we could walk from Kew green to M&S for a coffee and back again. I'm easy.

bunyanvillas · 18/02/2007 15:26

Sue, the Lass o'Richmond up nr Richmond Park is good, we've been there are few times with DD - they are very child friendly and do a great road plus excellent veggie roast for the likes of me. The Marlborough is also nice. There's also a cool pub in Teddington (name of which I have forgotten) which has a children's play area outside. Although I'm not sure yet whether they have banned smoking inside.

suejonez · 18/02/2007 15:28

where is the marlborough that rings a bell

bunyanvillas · 18/02/2007 15:31

Have just done a weather check and it looks as though it's going to be similar to today.

How about the Gdns! That way I can let dd off the leash and if she wishes at any point to express herself by having a mini-tantram and rolling around on the ground (as she did 3 times in Chiswick on Sat, arf!) then at least she is doing it somewhere beautiful Although obviously she will be on her best behaviour in front of Daniel.

Shall I cat you my mob no?

Paddlechick666 · 18/02/2007 15:32

i'm poss up for something tomorrow.

was thinking of going over to Stortford to see a friend but it's 1.5 hour drive and i just don't think i'm up for it tbh.

dd is being a complete PITA this arvo. she's never normally so cranky so am thinking she may be teething or something

30 min sleep this morning, 30 min sleep this arvo - she's drivin me nuts!

bunyan, i'm in Isleworth and mobile if you wanted a lift.......

OP posts:
bunyanvillas · 18/02/2007 15:33

Marlborough is (I think) left from the first mini-roundabout you come to when going up Richmond Hill. We went there for tea a couple of weeks ago and they were v tolerant of DD and I managed to neck a large white wine spritzer!

bunyanvillas · 18/02/2007 15:35

Oohh ... Paddle - if you are going to join us tomorrow then a lift would be brill!! DD has been fantastic all day so I'm probaby due a PITA day tomorrow

MrsBigD · 18/02/2007 15:57

Been to Tesco Extra in Slough today (yeah I know what an exciting life we lead here in Marlow) and it's f'ing huge

Paddle... QC is right next to the prison can't miss it.

sfxmum · 18/02/2007 16:04

i seem to have been bitten by some bug have red lumps on neck and left shoulder it hitches and it is driving me nuts

dd is running around with a feather duster which is ok as a toy since it has never been used in the 3 yrs have had it

dd has boggie tots tomorrow morning and then we usually go for walk around kew or coffee some place (and no i don't give her coffee just yet)

foxabout2pop · 18/02/2007 18:50

Umm - sfx I have some bad news for you.......

You appear to have our nits. Its OK I don't want them back

I've just zapped ours with carcinogenic LyClear ("kills all known nits - DEAD") and can't wait to comb the dead bodies out...

Bunyan - have you a Kew Gardens pass? - if not, Sue has mine so you can use that (Sue also has her own) otherwise it'll cost ya £11.50 or something

I want it back though!

Paddle - thanks for the cuppa earlier, it was lovely to chat with you and DD

Tomorrow I have a reviser BF workshop at QC in the morning. In the arvo I have my crucial scan which will determine whether I can have a natural birth (re. location of low lying placenta).

Sue - wanna meet up Tuesday afternoon still? We should be free from about 12.30/1pm ish

suejonez · 18/02/2007 19:08

Sue's is in her purse which she has lost... but PAddle could always bring a guest pass (pretty please)

Yes Tuesday 12.30ish would be fine - are you mobile - do you want to go for coffee in M&S or would you rather I came to you?

SFX was planning to meet Bunyan (and possibly Paddle) if its too early for you (haven't arranged a time yet) then I can meet you for coffee afetr if D isn't ready to drop or alternatively is napping in his pushchair

Paddlechick666 · 18/02/2007 19:14

guest pass no probs.

am furiously itching head now but think it all auto-suggestive!

what time and where tomorrow ladies?

bunyan, think you have my email addy? want to give me your address and i'll come collect you.

bf just told me her sisters' dp has died after falling down stairs - am very shocked. you just don't know what's going to happen do you..........

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 18/02/2007 19:18
