Wow! We filled a thread!

Hope you all find this new one!

Our evening was great, had a lovely time. kids were all very well behaved. dd sleeping in our bedroom is a nightmare tho - she's sooo noisy!

we need a 3rd bedroom

we're off for Sunday lunch at The Botanist later YUM!

2cute, we're scheduled to have skids that weekend but not confirmed yet. if we do, not sure if i could come and don't want to invite 2 extra kids and dh as that'd be rather cheeky! if we don't then we'll be there

it's far too early for a Sunday!

sue i have passes too happy to use, can take dd to 10.10 class which will be done by 11 otherwise free shortly after 11.30, never sure how things work out in the morning.
dd was telling me 'foxie's house today'maybe it was the Barbie what did it

Paddle a couple of years ago a friend of mine had a brain aneurism (sp?) in the middle of the night and died aged 35. Two sons then 8 and 10 and the eldest got up as he heard her falling down the stairs and saw her die. Thankfully her partner was also there to call ambulance etc. makes my blod run cold to think about it otherwise.

2 days later her MIL died (old and with altsheimers but still...) I had to go down the wales for three days both both funerals as her partner was a close friend.

Always shocking when someone your own age dies.

suejonez · 18/02/2007 19:25

sfx cat me your mobile (again!) and I'll text you when I leave kew if the timing works out I'll meet you for a coffee. If not why not come around for a cup at my house - a bit dull I know ...

sfxmum · 18/02/2007 19:25

good grief paddle that is awful truly here today gone tomorrow seize the day indeed
that enough mixed metaphors? but seriously it is quite sad

sfxmum · 18/02/2007 19:27

will email a bit later must get dd in bath then bed dh still at work

ComeOVeneer · 18/02/2007 19:52

SFX do check for nits. DD has brought them home from school last week and I discovered them in my hair even though I wasn't itchy. Would love to meet up tomorow but as DH left my handbag at his parents' house on Saturday I can't go anywhere or do anything until he brings it home tomorrow after work. Are we still on for the farm on thursday? WHich one did we decide on in the end?

I spent most of today finishing decorating dd's room and putting up new blind and shelves etc. Tomorrow I tackle putting together dh's office furniture and painting/decorating dd's room. I still have to sort all the boxes in the garage (i will try and do some of them before Thursday, to bring along for D, SUE), and put up the curtains in the playroom, then we are totally moved in. We do have to tackle the garden, but won't do that for a couple of months.

bunyanvillas · 18/02/2007 19:55

Fox, thank you v much for your super kind offer but I'm a member of Kew, we're there practically every week

Paddlechick, sorry to hear about your bad news, that is very shocking ...

foxabout2pop · 18/02/2007 20:14

Sue - use mine tomorrow then

I was ruminating today about going to Kew Gardens on Weds and borrowing one the the wheel chairs at Lion Gate .... Ds could push me

Oh BTW - the Nitty Gritty comb is crap.

Just did my hair with it and found nothing. Did it again with the freebie white plastic one and found several satisfyingly dead bodies and their eggs.

Sorry if TMI but its in the line of duty...

2Cute · 18/02/2007 21:36

Hey everyone

Sorry about the bad news paddle

Good luck with the scan foxi....will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Very that I missed out on the cake sfx. Can you bake one just for me seeing as I'm not very well?? (A girl's gotta try!)

foxabout2pop · 18/02/2007 21:54

2Cute - is your back still giving you gip?

foxabout2pop · 19/02/2007 07:40

Morning Grrrrls

You'll be very interested to know that I dreamt of head lice all night long . The most interesting part was where I found a huge ammonite in DS's hair!!! LOL

I have a day at hospital today. This morning I'm off to a BF revision workshop for 2nd/3rd time Mums. Probably don't need it but I always feel BFing is a lost art (like knitting) which our mothers don't teach us anymore, so no doubt I'll learn something I don't already know.

This arvo I have my final scan (bearing in mind QC date me at 39 weeks today) to check if placenta is far removed enough from Os to allow me a natural birth. It was 3cm away from the Os, 3 weeks ago.

I may have a battle on my hands, as my consultant favours clinical intervention, so wish me luck!

38+1

Paddlechick666 · 19/02/2007 08:17

good luck today Foxie

well another good night from dd - 7ish till 6ish then amused herself till about 6:45!

dh is seeing his psychiatrist again today and i just wrote the dr a long email he probably thinks i'm as mad as a box of frogs too!

i'm beyond caring, i want some results one way or another. just hope the man can get somewhere with him.........

sfxmum · 19/02/2007 08:21

paddle i am guessing the doctor is used to relatives anyway i am sorry it is so frustrating.

2cute i hope your back is better

foxabout2pop · 19/02/2007 08:35

Paddle - I hope the psycho responds positively. It would be really good if you could attend with DH....

Just washed the covers for the two sausages you lent me

Hi Puds

foxabout2pop · 19/02/2007 08:35

ooops - Hi SFX

How are the nits?

sfxmum · 19/02/2007 08:40

oh stop it foxie no hitching or any sign of nits just what looks like boils more likely a little spider bite, bit better today

foxabout2pop · 19/02/2007 08:44

SFX - The first indication that I had nits was bites on my neck and forehead

Mind you I am slightly obsessed with head lice atm

pudding77 · 19/02/2007 08:46

hi everyone , v quiet day yesterday for me but think I've caught up now.

Foxie, hope your scan is good news, fingers crossed!

Not free today but if anyone wants to meet up tomorrow, I'm around.

I'm meeting a friend this morning who says she's got some work for me that I can do from home, so fingers crossed that it comes off and she can pay me enough to send ds to nursery!

sfxmum · 19/02/2007 08:46

foxabout2pop · 19/02/2007 08:57

Off to the hossie now.....

sfxmum · 19/02/2007 09:00

i puds hope you get what you want
weather looks awful all this greyness makes me want to go back to bed how i long for spring

eleusis · 19/02/2007 09:39

Probably too late, but good luck today, Foxie.

Paddle, I wonder if the Psychiatrist will make a separate appointment for you to deal with your own problems???? Just kidding. I hope you get some resolution (and some stability!) very soon. It would drive me to do a lot more than write letters if I were in your shoes. Hang in there. Are we due for another post work girlie chat sometime soon? I can come round after work.

ComeOVeneer · 19/02/2007 10:02

Morning all. Good luck at the hospital today foxy. Well I think I over did it yesterday will all the DIY, am feeling pretty rotten today, real head cold, sore throat etc. I seem to have bounced from one cold/bug to another this winter. Think I need a holiday . I am stuck in all day as have no handbag, so no money or phone. If I go out youcan bet dd's school would phone, so I daen't leave the house (actually I don't feel much like doing anything anyway).

MrsRecycle · 19/02/2007 10:25

Morning everyone - good luck foxie at the hospital. I wish I'd known about the bf refresher could have done with it. lol

Re. nits (sorry for dragging it up again) I never use any of the expensive treatments. Just a plastic comb from boots and the cheapest hair conditioner on the market. Everytime i wash dds hair I soak with conditioner and comb out with nit comb. It seems to do the trick.

COV sorry to hear you're not feeling well - hope you feel better soon.

Well my news, started CC on Saturday night and it seems to be going ok for getting him off to sleep at 7.30pm (in his own room!). Now if I could just sort out the bfeeds at midnight and 3am then I wouldn't be so tired. He really does need them and tbh I don't mind given them to him. But if anyone has any suggestions I'm willing to try.

eleusis · 19/02/2007 11:31

Pump and get DH to do one of them.

Hey, when are you due back at work? Has this prolonged your matenity leave... oh darn.
