Wow! We filled a thread!

Hope you all find this new one!

Our evening was great, had a lovely time. kids were all very well behaved. dd sleeping in our bedroom is a nightmare tho - she's sooo noisy!

we need a 3rd bedroom

we're off for Sunday lunch at The Botanist later YUM!

2cute, we're scheduled to have skids that weekend but not confirmed yet. if we do, not sure if i could come and don't want to invite 2 extra kids and dh as that'd be rather cheeky! if we don't then we'll be there

it's far too early for a Sunday!

So, what is everyone doing tomorrow? DD has put in a request for Kew Gardens.

ComeOVeneer · 16/02/2007 21:22

Nope, no-one famous. Well I was a good girl and rustled up seared teryaki tuna, salad and new potatoes. Am now on the sofa with working wireless laptop and a well awaited glass of red.

Paddlechick666 · 16/02/2007 21:23

Tomoorow we are driving into central London to fetch DH to drive toStanmore for a kids' birthday party, then to IL's for lunch and afternoon entertainment . Would rather meet -up with you and your LO's uwila (sorry your new name keeps making me want to type Uylesses). DD was given "Charlotte's web" on audio CD's (from the Sunday Times) from my parents this week and has been going to sleep listening to it.

eleusis · 16/02/2007 21:30

No, not you,Paddle. You have that geeky book thing.

suejonez · 16/02/2007 21:30

I might be up for Kew too if the weather is OK.

ComeOVeneer · 16/02/2007 21:30

Reason I had the tuna is I did an online shop that arrived yesterday and they substituted a pack of 2 fresh tuna steaks for a pack of 1 tuna steak so really I had to use it tonight as DH is away.

eleusis · 16/02/2007 21:32

Ohhhhhhh.... I could mee the lovely D. I did put a disclaimer in to DD tonight that if the wether was cold and rainy we would have to give it a miss. She asid that in that case she'd like to go to fun fair. I had to tell she'd have to wait a ferw months.

suejonez · 16/02/2007 21:32

It would need to be after lunch though - what time were you planning?

eleusis · 16/02/2007 21:35

I'm flexible. I have a friend coming over at 6:00. I think Daniel naps areound 11:00ish, is that right? We could do a 1:00 meet at C and C. Then I could be home round 4:00 and they could both nap then and get ready for our 6:00 play date.

eleusis · 16/02/2007 21:35

Oh damn. There I go typing other peoples kid's names. Sorry!

suejonez · 16/02/2007 21:39

his naps are a bit all over the place at the moment but am happy to aim for 1pm (cat me your mobile and I'll text you when I know when he's sleeping)

suejonez · 16/02/2007 21:39

and don;t worry about naming him, its not exactly a secret!

foxabout2pop · 16/02/2007 22:33

Has everyone gone now then?

I seem to be out of sync with everyone else - when I come on here everyone dissappears, then when I leave, everyone rushes back on to chat

Paddle - that's so crap about your DH I feel like kicking him why does he keep choppimg and changing all the time? Mind you my Mum does that too - its bloody hurtful

Quokka - that's really sad about that guy

2cute - hope you've had some alcohol to anaesthatise yourself this evening

BTW you book swap girls - be gentle with me tomorrow, I'm exhausted and can hardly walk due to the spd

DS is looking forward to seeing Paddles DD though.

Sue, mine both love your DS - think he's really cute

2Cute · 16/02/2007 22:45

Quokka - That's v . It's always hard when it's someone you know.

Paddle - All I kept saying when reading your post was sht sht sh*t. I wish he knew how this crap affects you. Maybe I'm being un-understanding but is he totally oblivious to how you must be feeling?! One thing's for sure, your DD loves you and always will, just try keeping that as your strength. Isn't there anyone you both know that could boot some sense into him?

2Cute · 16/02/2007 22:46

Ta for the straws advice xoxo!

trying2bgood · 16/02/2007 22:55

Quokka - that is terrible. We knew that he had died as dd1's teacher told us they were closing the place for two days out of respect, but I did not relise he had committed suicide. It is very sad and always reinforces the importance of making time for friends and family. But like others have said some people are very good at hiding their pain .

trying2bgood · 16/02/2007 22:59

xoxo - may take you up next year when dds are a bit older. we are going to costa dorada, I wanted to go to one of the canary islands but all the hotels with decent kiddie facilities were gone or way out of our budget.

foxabout2pop · 17/02/2007 07:14

Yeah we may take you up next year too I'd like to go abroad next year when DS2 will 1.5, but we'll be sticking to Cornwall this year I think with a baby around.

I got 7 hours sleep last night, which is brilliant for me atm. Hips are hurting more each day but I only got up ONCE to go to the loo - as opposed to five times which is the norm atm!

Hope the weather is agood today - spring is defo in the air isn't it?

Paddlechick666 · 17/02/2007 07:27

my head hurts...........

old friend from Oz called and we chatted for an hour, whilst i kept topping up my wine glass without really noticing what i was doing!

he won some money on the german lotto last year and he's decided to come and live/work in teh UK for a year. I'm stoked.

dd slept till 7ish and is now gurgling to herself in her cot - quite remarkable.

head still hurts

foxie, good sleep!

Morning Paddle

Sounds like a good chat last night. Wish I could win some bloody money though!

foxabout2pop · 17/02/2007 08:12

BTW - bookswap people - I must warn you that my children may have head lice - think its only fair to tell you now.

Paddlechick666 · 17/02/2007 08:17

again!

OP posts:
quokka · 17/02/2007 08:47

oxo might take you up on that offer, will run it pass dh, when he wakes up from his stinking hangover. They closed a big deal yesterday and went out celebrating till 3am, I keep telling he's getting too old! Sounds like hes not the only one with a headache .

My first seedlings have sprouted in the greenhouse and my potatoes have chitted so I think I'll spend some time in the garden this morning. Thanks for the kind words last night and this morning

eleusis · 17/02/2007 08:50

You guys can always come to the lice free Kew Gardens with Sue and me.
