Wow! We filled a thread!

Hope you all find this new one!

Our evening was great, had a lovely time. kids were all very well behaved. dd sleeping in our bedroom is a nightmare tho - she's sooo noisy!

we need a 3rd bedroom

we're off for Sunday lunch at The Botanist later YUM!

2cute, we're scheduled to have skids that weekend but not confirmed yet. if we do, not sure if i could come and don't want to invite 2 extra kids and dh as that'd be rather cheeky! if we don't then we'll be there

it's far too early for a Sunday!

Dh surprised me this morning by having arranged to have some flowers & chocolates delivered! On the one hand, very very nice, on the other ds had just gone for a nap & the doorbell woke him up!

MrsRecycle · 14/02/2007 09:40

2Cute - thanks for remembering - it was yesterday. It went really well - ds has put on 2lb in a month and they are really happy. Mind you we had a rough Sunday - ds was sitting in his chair and started screaming - the next thing he was covered in head to toe in vomit (sorry if anyone's having breakfast!). I took a picture to the hospital to show them that it was definitely not reflux.

However, since Sunday, when I forgot to give him his formula top up he has been a different baby - sleeping through, no crying and no sickness. So I told the paed and dietician and they've said I have to continue breastfeeding and stop all formula. They are also going to give him a bloodtest to look into the fitting but are not unduly worried as there's no history in our family.

But the good news is we don't have to go back for 3 months. The dietician is going to ring us every month but that's it.

MrsRecycle · 14/02/2007 09:42

pudding - isn't that lovely - I've disconnected out doorbell as it kept on waking ds up. There's a sign over it saying please knock. Oh that reminds me must go and put my rose in water. Dh gave me a wonderful breakfast in bed of parma ham cheese baked mushrooms and fruit. I also got some CDs and DVDs to replace the ones stolen.

pudding77 · 14/02/2007 09:46

That sounds delicious MrsR!

ComeOVeneer · 14/02/2007 09:49

Morning all, Happy Valentines day. Dh gave me a lovely silver tiffany's bracelet and a box of Hotel choclates (yum). I (foolishly) have given him a book of vouchers (things like a massage, candle-lit dinner etc), I have a feeling I may live to regret it.

Pleased ds's appt went well MrsRecycle.

We are heading of to Kingston today to buy ds new clothes, all his trousers (bought in November) are several inches too short. He grows so quickly it costs me a fortune (and he doesn't eat much so heaven knows how he does it).

sfxmum · 14/02/2007 09:55

suejonez · 14/02/2007 11:29

i am trying to manage the will to get outside, really must get something for dinner, fridge looking quite bare and dd is holding wellies up hopefully telling me there are puddles outside
oh well responsive parent that i am i suppose i must

quokka · 14/02/2007 12:07

either do I! If we have time dh will get a homemade valentine card that the boys make! The only day I think is really special is Mothers day and I celebrate it twice, the english one and the aussie one .

ComeOVeneer · 14/02/2007 12:11

We don't make a big deal of valentine's but do get each other a card and gift plus a nice meal. TBH what I find more romantic and appreciate more,is the spontaneous things dh does romantically during the year just because he feels like it rather than because it is a certain day and therefore expected.

suejonez · 14/02/2007 12:27

Hi Paddle - my mum has D as I am working but could take a coffee break soon. Text me.

pudding77 · 14/02/2007 12:44

demolition - you need sound for this but v funny!

quokka · 14/02/2007 13:16

looks like Singapore is happening, dh wants to go to his parents on Sun to talk about it.

foxabout2pop · 14/02/2007 13:24

Quokka - what's the timescale for Singapore then?

xoxo · 14/02/2007 13:43

quokka: fantastic news, I'm so jealous
it's a really stunning place, and such an opportunity for you and your family.

ComeOVeneer · 14/02/2007 13:46

What is this about Singapore, are you emigrating then Quokka. I am seriously unmotivated today. Have entertained the kids and done some house work, but need to go to Kingston to pick up a blind in J Lewis and buy ds trousers, but can't face it with both kids in tow. Am waiting for ds to get tired so hopefully he will sleep in the pushchair.

mellow2 · 14/02/2007 13:52

MrsR,

I'm really happy to hear about ds's weight gain. I know how worrying it can be when ur baby is not gaining weight.

Sounds like you've cracked it.

We have not celebrated Valentine's since we dated 'cos we agree that it's over-commercialised.

However, this year, we're making an effort to spend some time together and have some bubbly (of course!) because spending all our timelooking after dd has meant we're too tired to pay attention to one another and frankly, the cracks are starting to show.

mellow2 · 14/02/2007 13:53

Quokka,
Great news about S'pore!

Eleusis,
I forgot to ask. How was Quilon?

quokka · 14/02/2007 14:17

Mellow we all get cracks now and again, just need to devote some time to each other.

Dh is stopping off at Ann Summers on the way home - I can only imagine what he will turn up with .

xoxo · 14/02/2007 14:17

s0orry MrsR, forgot to say that's it's great LO is getting a bit better.

quokka · 14/02/2007 14:19

Cov we might be moving there for 2-3yrs, dh has had a really good job offer and its only a 5hr flight to Perth!

quokka · 14/02/2007 14:25
