Wow! We filled a thread!

Hope you all find this new one!

Our evening was great, had a lovely time. kids were all very well behaved. dd sleeping in our bedroom is a nightmare tho - she's sooo noisy!

we need a 3rd bedroom

we're off for Sunday lunch at The Botanist later YUM!

2cute, we're scheduled to have skids that weekend but not confirmed yet. if we do, not sure if i could come and don't want to invite 2 extra kids and dh as that'd be rather cheeky! if we don't then we'll be there

it's far too early for a Sunday!

Welcome back BigD!

sfx...I think they do it deliberately just to keep us on our toes!

Could I just have a quick count up of who's coming to DS's party? just to refresh your memories: Sunday 4th March 3.30pm - 5.30pm in Hounslow (will have to email/cat the venue details to those who don't have it yet):

So far its:

sfx + DD
foxi (on the verge of going into labour) + DS, DD
paddle + DD (+ steps?)

MrsBigD · 13/02/2007 11:07

2cute put us down as a very tentative... but I'll put it in the diary

mellow2 · 13/02/2007 11:29

2cute,

I would love to come except I would have to be watching dd the whole time which doesn't give me much time to talk to anyone.

Maybe when dd is more mobile.

suejonez · 13/02/2007 13:22

I'm off to Mothercare and M&S cafe at about 2pm if anyone wants to join me.

2cute, would like to make it but Daniels naps are all over the place at the moment so not sure what time we'd come - either 3.30 or 4.30pm. Is that a problem?

How old is your DS - I'm sure you've told me but I can;t remember!

foxabout2pop · 13/02/2007 13:54

2 cute - thanks for that reminder as I've completely lost the plot atm!!! If I'vce just given birth by 4 March, I may get DH to just bring DS and DD, but hopefully I'll be there either way

sfx - finish work on Thursday and its complete mayhem trying to get stuff completed B4 I go off....aaaarrrgghh!

sfxmum · 13/02/2007 15:01

2Cute - i will try and get dh to come along although i might have to drug or bribe him, moslty because it will probably mean a couple of bus changes, is it on the 110route? must check that

foxie - so no pressure then maybe you will stop trying to call work sometime next week

dd was on full on toddler mode at kew today

then when we got home the lift was broken and she had just fallen asleep in the buggy, i got her out came up, put her in bed she woke up, now dd is somewhat cranky creating havoc, i need a drink!

trying2bgood · 13/02/2007 15:09

my dd1 will be 4 at the end of this month and is so ready for school!!! Poor thing, she is getting bored of nursery and being one of the oldest!

pudding77 · 13/02/2007 15:42

Can anyone else recommend a babysitter? Oxo's one isn't free

quokka · 13/02/2007 16:13

puds I will email

pudding77 · 13/02/2007 16:24

thanks quokka, got your email

foxabout2pop · 13/02/2007 16:41

sfx - your LO could travel to 2cute's DS's party with us on 4 March. Seems mad for your DH to get a bus when we live just around the corner

sfxmum · 13/02/2007 17:31

foxie thanks for that, i keep forgetting you live practically next door, but also always like to have alternative arrangements just in case.

after much running around dd just crashed, can you tell i am a go with the flow parent? anyway not even trying to get her to bed before ten tonight and tomorrow will drop nap to get things back to normal. i think this child will be doing without naps before long.

xoxo · 13/02/2007 18:07

HI all
2cute: can we come to the party? Am determined that someone in this family will have a mumsnet social event seeing as I'm rubbish at keeping them

Foxy : when is 'pop' date? I'm useless at following dates but it's really soon isn't it?

also - do you guys know Marble Hill Park? There's a dog free enclosure (i.e. no poo) and a fab playground attached. And teh river at teh bottom for duck feeding. It's a fab place to meet up. And right beside it is teh Crown pub with it's kiddies menu and outside playarea. Can I suggest a meet up there on a Monday or Wednesday (generally) or during school breaks? It's a mere coincidence that I live next door to it, but hey that means parking space doesn't it (and coffee/ cakes for mums and babes too at mine).

Anyone free next Monday for a meet up? (not creating a bid to take over half term but I can't be arsed going to Bockets farm - it's fab but we go there fairly often).

foxabout2pop · 13/02/2007 18:57

Oxo - Queen Charlottes say my EDD is 26 Feb, but I think its 3 March

Am feeling very PG and knackered now!

I'm busy on Monday

Free Weds and Friday (if we do Bocketts on Thurs)

quokka · 13/02/2007 19:17

foxy qc got my dates wrong both times, I think - don't worry they are great for everything else!

2cute would love to come to the party

suejonez · 13/02/2007 19:38

Today I have been doing baby led napping (is that the equivalent of BLW?) D had such a problem sleeping this afternoon that I just got him up and get him up until bedtime (bad mummy alert). So today... he had lunch at 12 noon slept 12.45 to 1.45 then stayed awake until 7pm when afetr having a bottle he was virtually asleep before his body hit the mattress!

Of course the house looks like a bomb has hit itdue to no serious nap-time but I'm hoping that he will start sleeping longer at lunchtime when his body realises he's not getting another one!

poor mite has gone from sleeping 8.30pm - 6am and napping three times a day at the orphanage, to 7-7 sleep with one nap within the space of 2 months! His body clock must be shot to pieces.

suejonez · 13/02/2007 19:39

2cute if he carries on like this then we will be at the party 3.30 - are you sorry you invited us all now that we are all accepting?!

suejonez · 13/02/2007 19:41

Oxo may be up for a meet on Monday but I have major shennanigans with work about this project I'm doing as it has a wildly unrealistic deadline and I'm trying to put it back.

If it gets moved (currently the Firday of half term ) then helf term will free up quite a bit apart from Wednesday but I won;t know until the end of this week.

These deadlines rarely move though

2Cute · 13/02/2007 21:24

Sue - Nah, not sorry at all. Happy to have ya

Mellow - IKWYM, you can't take your eyes off them when they're little. Having said that, don't let that stop you taking her to play dates/parties as there's always other mums around to help.

sfx + DD
foxi (on the verge of going into labour) + DS, DD
paddle + DD (+ steps?)
BigD + DD, DS (possibly)
Sue + DS
xoxo + DD, DS
Quokka + DS x2

MrsR - How did it go at the paed's? (It was today wasn't? )

2Cute · 13/02/2007 21:29

Sue - not a bad mum alert at all. In fact, well done for trying to get him into a routine.

ComeOVeneer · 13/02/2007 21:33

2Cute, is there room for any more? If so I would love to come (with dd and ds).

foxabout2pop · 14/02/2007 06:22

Morning everyone

have been awake since 4am ...bad bladder alert!

pudding77 · 14/02/2007 08:01

hi foxie, poor you!

2cute, we'd love to come as well if you don't mind. I'll probably be driving if anyone would like a lift?

oxo, if we're going to the farm on Thurs, then I'm free on Monday.

xoxo · 14/02/2007 08:39

Hurrah: let's play on MOnday . Now lets hope for sunshine or you're very welcome here for a baking party.

errr, Foxy - what EXACTLY do you mean by bladder alert. In the same way my 4 yr old had an ,ahem, ''bladder alert'' on me at 3am? I'm a little pongy this morning Somehow he managed to stay dry. Little sod aimed at me, I'm sure

YOu've brough back memories of constant peeing in teh final hurdle. I remember someone telling me it was to get yr body used to waking at all times of the night. But you don't need that training, do you?

SJ: sounds like you're doing a kind of GF (she who must not be mentioned). FWIW, both ours were 'trained' like this and it comes through in teh end. Perservere, m'girl - it's worth it in the end.

Paddlechick666 · 14/02/2007 08:47

morning

oxo, we're free monday too

remember \kink{http://www.thechildhealthsite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=1&link=ctg_ths_home_from_ars_home_sitenav\this}

haven't seen it for ages - get clicking!

Foxie, not long now and at least you can get some day time rest for a little while!

oh yeah, happy valentines [sarcasticcynicalemoticon]
