Wow! We filled a thread!

Hope you all find this new one!

Our evening was great, had a lovely time. kids were all very well behaved. dd sleeping in our bedroom is a nightmare tho - she's sooo noisy!

we need a 3rd bedroom

we're off for Sunday lunch at The Botanist later YUM!

2cute, we're scheduled to have skids that weekend but not confirmed yet. if we do, not sure if i could come and don't want to invite 2 extra kids and dh as that'd be rather cheeky! if we don't then we'll be there

it's far too early for a Sunday!

quokka · 12/02/2007 17:41

crikey uwila, is there a shorter version???

quokka · 12/02/2007 17:42

Hi Jess I'm right on the edge of ealing just near Gunnersbury park. Have ds1 2yrs and ds2 1yr and I'm a sahm

eleusis · 12/02/2007 17:46

And she is NOT a bird!

trying2bgood · 12/02/2007 17:47

hi jess and welcome, I am in acton which is not far have two girls 1 and 3(although very nearly 4)

eleusis · 12/02/2007 17:47

Hey, Trying, when is your DD1 4? Mine is 4 in March.

pudding77 · 12/02/2007 17:54

Hi jess, welcome. I'm in Brentford and have a 1yr old ds (also a relocated northener!).

Speaking of ds, because of his high temp I undressed him and took his nappy off, guess what happened? I've just been crawling around picking it up off the carpet [ewww emoticon]!

ComeOVeneer · 12/02/2007 17:56

Pud, I have had that happen. Undressed ds for a bath, the water was too hot so whilst I drained some and added cold water he went of to play with dd in her room. Called them in for their bath and when we got back into dd's room to get her pj's there was a nice little "present" on the carpet

2Cute · 13/02/2007 00:19

Can't believe I actually did that thing called cleaning today. Just finished scrubbing the utility room floor and organising DS's toys.

Pud - that's why I think wood flooring is a god send for those lovely "deposits"!

Welcome Jessvh

sfx - I went to the Lollipop and it was pretty manic at first but calmed down around 1pm ish. Some women get so flippin engrossed in their chit chat that they don't bother stopping their kids bashing others and others leave their babies being bashed without even so much as a glance at what's happening Proud to say 2.5 years of going to the lollipop has certainly taught my DS how to look after himself! Yep, he's ready for the SAS now

MrsBigD · 13/02/2007 08:13

Hi I'm back can somebody please summarise for me?

Paddlechick666 · 13/02/2007 08:21

humph! bloody cheek! you abandon us for days and the threads are in a right old state and you want us to summarise!!

half term next week - plan to go to Bocketts Farm Thursday

next dinner meet up Chiswick 8th March

book club Saturday at Foxie's but Uwila is having an alternative get together as well - bloody subversive!

Oxo spent the weekend in hospital coz she's allergic to work.

SJ's phone was allocated to someone else and has been enjoying a bout of vile nappy rash. D seems reasonably unaware of the state of his mother's bottom.

foxie's nearly reached full term on her work comittments so she can finish cooking that cub.

2cute, for some weird reason, has been cleaning!

Pud escaped Wakefield and made it back to the fold safely.

we've a couple of newbies altho Kimi is geographically suspect but we like her anyway.

sfx has a clepto child.

Countess Dracula is making threatening noises about joining the Walk for Maude in Richmond Park.

Uwila has changed her name but no one can pronounce/spell it and she keeps forgetting to switch anyway!

erm, that's all i can think of at present.

sorry if i've missed anyone!

sfxmum · 13/02/2007 08:28

mrsDhow are you? any bruises and broken crockery?nice to see you around again

2Cute i know what you mean they just ignore the children and i always end up feeling like slapping the brats and feeling guilty for entertaining such thoughts

puds - we are quite practiced at fishing them out of the bath, dd went through a period when that was quite common

good morning everyone

Jessvh · 13/02/2007 08:28

Hi Guys, Thanks for the warm welcome . Foxabout2pop, you mentioned that you get together in the evenings or daytimes - where do you meet? I'd love to come along and meet some of you guys.....

MrsBigD · 13/02/2007 08:39

Thanks paddle oh my a lot has happened in a week. And c'mon... ya lot are old enough to get organised yourself . I'll only be putting in guest appearances till this place is fully sorted, but no worries I'll loiter

Half term here is this week and I feel like slapping my own brats [it's only a phase over and over]

SFX plenty of bruises and one broken light bulb but otherwise stuff seems all in one piece, more than I can say for my sanity atm

eleusis · 13/02/2007 08:57

You know what, forget I said anything about Saturday. Had no idea that inviting people over for a play date could be so controversial.

Paddlechick666 · 13/02/2007 09:03

sounds like it's gone okay MrsB - never mind slapping the brats, what about your mother?!

sfx, i often get very schoolmarm-ish with other kids at lollipop. i sometimes feel sorry for the "mums" who sit and natter as they must really be at the end of their tethers to ignore their kids like that. but then i get cynical and think they're actually nannies etc - which is probably a big slur on nannies everywhere!

jess, we're a combo of SAHMs, full time workers and part timers. there's a Day Time Meets Thread and if people are out and about for the day they might hook up.

faves are Lollipop at London Welsh and Kew. Childsplay at Chiswick is good but parking a nightmare.

We quite often trash Foxie's house as and when she invites us LOL. but people just tend to hook up here and there ad-hoc.

then we have a monthly night out somewhere and there's a London Booze up in May.

And the Mile for Maude in Richmond Park in May too.

I'd do links but haven't got time today and that's MrsB's job!

Oh and there's always M&S at Kew Retail which is good for coffee, klepto kids and "runners" as you may have seen from yesterday's posts!

OP posts:
pudding77 · 13/02/2007 09:07

Jess, these are the other threads:

book swap

March night out

Half term meets

London night out

sfxmum · 13/02/2007 09:17

jesshv how is the pregnancy going? do you know which hospital? guess you are on your antenatal thread

I think i will avoid lollipop today and head for Kew dd loves it and i could do with a long walk in the fresh air anyway, would anyone like to join us?
will try Richmond tomorrow maybe library and Hugo's if in the mood. apparently it will be raining.

maybe we should do another updated stats thread to help newcomers

Paddlechick666 · 13/02/2007 09:21

hi sfx, i'm going to kew today too. meeting a work colleague and her dd at 12 at victoria gate then we'll give the LOs lunch and take it from there.

we'll deff be doing C&C - hope it's not too busy!

OP posts:
pudding77 · 13/02/2007 09:22

I've just posted on daytime threads about going to Kew as well! Shall we meet at C&C?

Paddlechick666 · 13/02/2007 09:23

okay cool.

drop me a text when you're about and we'll hook up.

going to white peaks first to feed kids....

OP posts:
foxabout2pop · 13/02/2007 09:28

Morning all

I 'd like to go for a good long bracing walk, but would have to leave my pelvis at home LOL!!

Had about 4 hours sleep last night as LO and my bladder ganged up to keep me awake half the night

Jess, you have those pleasures to come!!

Yeah, which hospital are you?

I've had babies at Kingston and West Mid and am trying Queen Charlottes this time!

sfxmum · 13/02/2007 09:37

ok for Kew then i should be there in about an hr but am sure we will do ducks first for quite sometime as well as endless collecting of pebbles gravel sticks and assorted seeds, at least no dog turds there

see you later, foxie is this your last week at work? somehow i thought you were done already

Paddlechick666 · 13/02/2007 09:43

we're off to visit the pre-school i want dd to attend so will catch ya all later.

@ no dog poo at Kew - thank god for that last bastion!

OP posts:
MrsBigD · 13/02/2007 09:55

I see puds is getting great at doing links

sfxmum · 13/02/2007 10:38

so much for leaving early!
never leave your fully dressed, ready to go child near a half eaten pot of yoghurt while you look away getting bag ready
