drink lots of water today to rehydrate !

uwila · 14/12/2006 12:21

I'm impressed that in spit of the hard core boozing you remember what position you went to sleep in.

uwila · 14/12/2006 12:22

spite, not spit. SPITE

pudding77 · 14/12/2006 13:33

Do you think children sense weaknesses?

"Ha ha, I know you're tired & hungover today so I will resist all attempts at naptimes, I'm not tired at all, I can go on and on and on..."

I swear that's what ds is doing!

uwila · 14/12/2006 13:39

Yes, of course they do. Cheecky little biggers. I have no idea where they get.

Paddlechick666 · 14/12/2006 13:44

so ya see Pud, that's why it's good to work!

it's a break, a rest, a diversion and sometimes a sneaky opportunity for a nap!!!

i'm a bit frightened at having a whole week off next week!

hoxohoxohoxo · 14/12/2006 13:58

kids, like dogs, smell fear. they know you are weak.

I'm not quite with it today. I'm not hungover remarkably, but absolutely running on autopilot. I made a big pot of stew this morning, and instead of putting in a big bunch of parsley, I put in coriander. it really smells nice but tastes yuck.
think if i cover it with enough tomato ketchup the kids won't notice?
now i have to take 2 kids to football where there will be loads of noisy kids. I can't wait to go work from a rest.

Nanou1 · 14/12/2006 14:00

hoxohoxohoxo · 14/12/2006 14:16

2quokkasandapeartree · 14/12/2006 15:18

MrsRecycle · 14/12/2006 15:29

pmsl Quokka....did someone say "ruff" - I feel fine - sometimes I'm glad I live too far away to stagger home. Mind you it sounds like you had fun after we left. I don't know what dh did to ds last night but he slept through til 8am this morning. The only problem is I had to get up at 3am to pump.

snowfallatxmasmum · 14/12/2006 15:31

you lot are making me laughkeep it up i need it

2quokkasandapeartree · 14/12/2006 15:33

ok now what do I want for christmas? I need some ideas as dh is starting to panic.

MrsRecycle · 14/12/2006 15:41

a new head???

2quokkasandapeartree · 14/12/2006 15:42

very funny! I'm serious, have no idea what I want

MrsRecycle · 14/12/2006 15:47

We could get all our dh's to get us day passes for the sanctuary in covent garden and have a meetup there. The only problem is we'd probably get kicked out for being too noisy!

2quokkasandapeartree · 14/12/2006 15:50

dh used to get me that every year for my birthday, and I got a bit tired of it. but your right we would get kicked out

Paddlechick666 · 14/12/2006 16:06

how about becoming a real tree huggin hippy

or you could get some allotment help

mellowchristmas · 14/12/2006 16:11

Hi everyone,

Been busy with e-bay. Does anyone know where I can eco-friendly green (e.g. recycled biodegradable eco-friendly) postal packaging and labels?

Paddlechick666 · 14/12/2006 16:27

hi mellow

i googled eco-friendly postal packaging supplies and got some interesting results.

'part from that, not sure really! maybe there's a gap in the market!

uwila · 14/12/2006 16:35

Quokka, he could get you a nice French poodle so you could listen to ruff ruff all day.

Hey, Cocoon is nice. As OXO, she's been there. And I would have been there if it hadn't been for the bloody traffic.

2quokkasandapeartree · 14/12/2006 17:10

your gonna love this Uwila, I used to have a poodle! My sister got it for herself but it didn't like her so the poodle decided that he wanted me

uwila · 14/12/2006 17:10

Did he teach you to say ruff ruff?

hoxohoxohoxo · 14/12/2006 18:16

Quokka - a poodle???

Hey - Nanou: how do you say' that's not a dog, that's a sandwich??'

seriously (but don't tell Uwila, let her believ it was rubbish as she was stuck in traffic for ages trying to get there and was most deserving of a pampering but decided a beer and food would help her better ) : cocoon is yummy. and they have a creche but only for a very limited couple of hours a day or something like that (insurance apparently). although the idea is that dh would mind kids while you have a day off. you could combine it with teh January night out. Now THAT would be top to toe pampering . If you wanted to go during teh day you could drop the boys off here and they could play with our LOs.

dh out tonight. shoocking I say

dh DID buy me a day at the sanctuary for my birthday recently. I'm going to use it before I go to work but I do NOT want a mass of mammeries there that day so clear off!!! I want a day to slob in style, with 1 or 2 treatments and absolute silence.
