Evening all. Can't believe some of the ILs issues here - fortunately, mine are quite happy to have everyone over on boxing day rather than arguing on who goes where! And we get to have christmas day at home on our own!

I've just reread what I posted and wanted to say sorry - didn't want to sound like I was boasting

had time to catch up now. Boy am I glad that my IL are in NZ and dh's IL's are in Germany

Sympathies to everybody with IL issues. A friend of mine has the 'pleasure' of entertaining her IL's who came to visit from Germany unannounced and uninvited! Charming eh?

The ILs probably thought it would be a lovely surprise

HI all: we are off to Isabella Pltn this morning, then Pizza Express for early dnner: both Christmas Eve traditions.
dh is in Richmond frantically trying to buy my present, and small ones from the kids - another christmas eve tradition.

Will not post now til well after Christmas so, for those still around - HAVE A FAB CHRISTMAS

Phew! Finally got my turkey. Food shopping has been very stressful seeing I'm doing my first Christmas dinner ever and my ILs are coming.

i went to M&S yesterday hoping to get a goose (not a whole one!) but boy they were sold out of most things! ended up with some beef which is fine coz i am going to Mum's boxing day and she is saving the turkey till then!

Good luck all with the ILs or otherwise tomorrow. I hope you all have a lovely time.

dh has arrived this morning (having had a small awol inicident on friday) and i am really looking forward to a quiet family xmas.

dd has been up half the night and is really under the weather. am hoping it's just a heavy cold. i've never seen her so listless. she's eaten some brekkie tho and has had some calpol and is now snoozing on daddy.

hope she perks up by tomorrow!

Have to have a little moan to get it out of my system. After a little screaming and foaming at the mouth by me, DH cancelled ILs coming round yesterday. MIL rings DH today saying obviously I make them feel unwelcome and she wishes she had done everything in her power to stop DH having married me 7.5yrs ago! I won't bore you with the rest of the details but that woman is a flippin nightmare!

Anyways after many deep breaths and cursing under my breath at DH for not telling his mum where to go, I am back in the festive mood. She shall NOT ruin my Christmas, falalalalalalalala

Hi everyone - how dare you all carry on chatting when I can't get online. New PC is arriving Thursday and can't wait. Its amazing how reliant you get on the internet!!!

But hey - Happy Christmas everyone - we are down at my sister's in Wiltshire today. The kids were so excited this morning and BIL dressed up as Santa to give pressies out,; much impressing DD!

Both DS and I are upstairs on the PCs, as we're both suffering withdrawal symtoms from being offline for a few days

texted Sue this morning but dunno whether she'll receive it

i have stupidly downloaded IE7 and it's now not working with my Norton Personal Firewall - only when I switch it off which I don't want to do!

dd charmed the northern half of the family but completely zonked out at the dinner table after all the excitement of the morning, or maybe it was a cunning plan to avoid the turkey and grandpa inappropriate jokes

Hi everyone, hope you all had good a christmas. It was just the three of us on Christmas day which was nice. Ds had his lunch with us - dh thought it was hilarious when ds threw broccoli & cauliflower on the floor but ate his potatoes!!

Just wondering what to do today, we might head off to somewhere like London Zoo....

well Christmas was good. not enough alcohol but I intend to make up for that at New Years.
Hope eveyone had a fab time and Santa brought everything you all wanted - and the kids too

am now trying to control two sugared up kids without the aid of a cattle prod which is proving difficult

looks like most of us have survived xmas o.k. Hope not too many IL issues

ours was good. Kids happy with presents and we ate wayyyyy too much

goodness Sue's situation is looking like quite upsetting guess it's even harder now when all she wants to do is get on with their new life.
