So that Uwilalalalala doesn't get offended by us bookworms - or would like to be bookworms if we had the time...

I've bagged the books - also found starship troopers if anyone wants it.

Looks like we have plenty of cake going already. I can bring some crisps or the like . Saying that, thanks to dh keeping on buying mince pies I've already put on 1kg this festive season... the ones from the local bakery are sooooo yummy and no airpockets inside, they're crammed full with filling! and probably 5000ckal per bite LOL

OP posts:
sfxmum · 01/12/2006 20:44

harktheheraldfoxessing · 01/12/2006 21:01

MrsBojangles · 01/12/2006 23:45

harktheheraldfoxessing · 02/12/2006 10:26

The kettle is on

pudding77 · 02/12/2006 15:11

Nice to see everyone today. Thanks for the tea foxie and for everyone else's delicious bits!

My eyebrows are all nicely shaped and my neck and back now has no knots in it! Btw, Nicky has said that if by the middle of December you've been a couple of times you'll get a voucher!

pudding77 · 02/12/2006 15:11

Also meant to say - thanks as well for the preview of what it's like to have children in about 5yrs time!!

MrsBojangles · 02/12/2006 15:23

Thanks for hosting foxie. Sorry dd was a bit sensitive re your ds she'll better learn at a young age that boys can be rather annoying

OP posts:
harktheheraldfoxessing · 02/12/2006 16:00

at some of DS's behaviour! He was competing with you all!

Hope everyone enjoyed it and found it fruitful in terms of taking away an armful of juicy books.

Thanks for all the tasty goodies (Puds I still have your container). The builder went on his way stuffed with homemade flapjacks as he'd had no lunch and was starving!

'cos I wanted the flapjacks.

Thanks Puds and PC for the book loans and for copying the DVD PC. It'll go first to Rosy and then to Rainbowgirl.

We're off to buy a Christmas tree now from Homebase so the monsters can decorate it tonight

sfxmum · 02/12/2006 16:04

hi all
thanks foxie for hosting and everyone else too for the chats. am with you pud on the preview not only for when they are older but also for when there is more than one. not put off at all
very tempted by the massage/ facial business.

dd missed her nap 'window' and just run around until she crashed 2minutes ago. dh still working do my essay is clearly doomed.

mellowchristmas · 02/12/2006 17:50

I've just got back from the Eco-design fair sourcing suppliers for my shop. Thanks very much for hosting, foxie, and everyone else for the lovely snacks.

I picked up some good tips of hwo to deal with dd when she's older from everyone.

Foxie,
I was so intrigued by your RL name that I typed it into Google to find its origin and it came up with lots of pages with your RL name and job!

I didn't realise you were so famous! [respect emoticon]

harktheheraldfoxessing · 02/12/2006 20:25

Puds - Mine often fight but seeing them play together it more than makes up for the bickering times. Tonight they helped decortate the Christmas tree then danced round the room together singing the hokey cokey! Most of the time they are partners in crime

Mellow - I'm on several local authority forums on behalf of my employers, the minutes of which are published on the council website - so it looks as though I'm famous as they all come up under google LOL! -

...I didn't come up under "sexy Celtic Babes" did I? LOL

ps talking of fame, DD is in this month's Prima Baby, talking about Father Christmas.

sfxmum · 02/12/2006 21:13

in my poor mumbled sleep deprived way i forgot about

  • paddles hair!remember- enquire after mellows shop!
  • mrsB photo course!

this is what i remeber so farwill try to engage brain more next time

harktheheraldfoxessing · 02/12/2006 21:23

sfx - I was going to ask if someone could show me how to do links, but completely forgot!

sfxmum · 02/12/2006 21:29

i am sure someone has an easier way but i just copy and paste the example in bold on the box to the right to where you write a new message (iyswim)

and then insert the address i want to link in the lace where news.bbc.co.uk is often after having copied and pasted the original address i want to link to
(probably very confused explanation)
best wait for proper techie help

harktheheraldfoxessing · 02/12/2006 21:34

Paddlechick666 · 03/12/2006 12:06

foxie, thanks for hosting. had a lovely time as did dd exploring your house and scoffing all in sight!

am plugging away with State of The Union so may be a while before i can return the books i borrowed.

really nice to see everyone and chat. thanks all for being so kind and supportive at the mo.

mrsb, great hair. hope ds slept for you last night!

mellow, what shop?

pud, bloody respect at managing a massage and time out 4 days before moving LOL! nice cake too!

sfx, those cookies were yummy. did you say you'd got an underwire nursing bra? where from?!

i looked on ebay to find the chair harness thing and the original seller isn't listed anymore.

but if you do a search on travel highchair, there's a few of the other style fabric ones. and one like mine 2nd hand.

beware the ones that hook over the back of the chair - they're not as secure as my type.

see you all 13th if not before!

pudding77 · 03/12/2006 16:31

Foxie - glad you're enjoying it!

Sfx - I've just started one of the vampire ones, don't know why but I'm quite to admit I'm enjoying it!!

sfxmum · 03/12/2006 20:59

pud - it is a lot of fun it only gets smutty from book8 or 9i can't quite bring myself to buy the latest installment honestly i think a dirty mac is required for such a venture

MrsBojangles · 04/12/2006 10:02

MrsB,

Any luck finding Magic Kingdom for Sale? I found a copy in Hounslow LIbrary. It's no bother at all to go to the library to get it. I can't wait to start reading this series!

PC,
Read Methuselah's Children yesterday. Loved the story but not so sure about the ending. I'm really looking forward to starting Time Enough For Love.

I'm like a child in a candy store atm. I don't know which book to read.

Can you tell I love the festive smileys? [fsmiley] [fsmiley] [fsmiley]
