Sorry...looks like I kept missing this thread each time it revived recently...not ignoring you. Promise.
Incidentally, I can't make either date, blah blah blah reasons reasons ( I do have them, but you don't want to know the minutae of my life!! )

Have a great time though. Wish I could be there.

PS - fennel - i wasn't at the last one either, ipodthereforeipoor used to be woosmummy I think.

lesleyworm · 30/11/2006 21:34

still can't confirm "plus one" for tomorrow night as her son has had a bug for the last few days - has anyone's child NOT had a bug? Hopefully he will be better by Fri, though no guarantee.

fennel · 01/12/2006 10:11

hi Lesleyworm. I don't think an extra person will matter. I booked for 8, including 7 of us, plus maybe your friend. My sister is coming too (a very occasional mumsnet lurker).

see you all tonight. I'm coming with Pageturner, we are going to aim to be at the White Hart soon after 7.30. I am about 5 ft7, reddish brown bobbed hair. no idea what I'm wearing. and if i get really really organised I might be wearing a badge with a fennel plant on!

pageturner · 01/12/2006 13:04

Should I bring a well-thumbed book?

pageturner · 01/12/2006 14:49

A conversation with dh has reminded me that the White Hart has several bars. Can I suggest we meet in the FRONT RIGHT-HAND BAR?
Hope that's OK.

I'm going to bring a copy of Strangers on a Train by Patricia Highsmith and I will leave it ostentatiously on the table/at the bar where fennel and I are. (It's the best I can do that will fit in my handbag...)

pageturner · 01/12/2006 14:50

Strangers on a Train

pageturner · 01/12/2006 16:29

Bump if any of you West Country people are around!

fennel · 01/12/2006 17:05

have not yet had time to produce a fennel badge and with visiting child as well as my 3 to feed am perhaps going to have to rely on looking like the sort of person who might be called Fennel rather than having a badge....

pageturner · 01/12/2006 17:26

Another bump for Chubbleigh, Lesleyworm, Greensleeves and Cassoulet

pageturner · 01/12/2006 18:03

Another!

SantaGotStuckUpTheGreensleeve · 01/12/2006 18:05

Evening all

I'm not faffing about constructing badges at this stage in the proceedings - I'm the chubby tall-ish one with the scruffy bun and too much cheap jewellery

Morning Greensleeves!

How are you feeling? Personally suffering from a slight fogginess around the synapses, but all in a good cause, right? I for one had a really nice evening. Good to meet Lesleyworm , Lesleyworm's friend and Chubbleigh.

Where were you Cassoulet??

SantaGotStuckUpTheGreensleeve · 02/12/2006 14:53

is it morning?

pageturner · 02/12/2006 15:13

Ha ha ha! feeling a little delicate today, my dear? Tsk tsk tsk.

SantaGotStuckUpTheGreensleeve · 02/12/2006 15:35

Me? Who? Delicate? How very dare you!

Fresh as a daisy, me!

pageturner · 02/12/2006 15:57

I think you need more practice at this drunk lark. Come and hang out at mine and we'll work on your tolerance!

pageturner · 02/12/2006 17:06

By the way, Greensleeves, I'm sorry we didn't finish that conversation when we got to restaurant. keep it in mind and we'll carry it on next time.

franca70 · 02/12/2006 17:31

Oh no, I've missed this!

pageturner · 02/12/2006 18:39

Oh franca! Sorry, you missed it. We'll have to have another one sometime soon.

franca70 · 03/12/2006 12:09

That'd be nice. I've actually been away for a while. Sounds like you hade a great time !

chubbleigh · 04/12/2006 13:31

Yes, I had a really nice time too. It was good to meet some new people.

pageturner · 04/12/2006 23:02

It was nice to meet you too, Chubbleigh . We'll do it again...

Spicedfennelwine · 05/12/2006 11:33

I enjoyed it too. Next time we'll have to make sure Ilovedolly and Franca get to come too.

And I hope the 2 who stayed at my house for the night enjoyed the unscheduled extra entertainment of my meek well-behaved dd3 entering toddlerhood with a vengeance.
