I could make the Friday.

So sorry about late change of plan on Saturday but mum's 82 and has a family wedding, a family birthday party (her bro's 90th), her own birthday, my bro's birthday all happening in the next couple of weeks, so she lost track and bought the tickets thinking that 2nd was 9th. If she hadn't got a ticket for dd too she could have gone on her own but it's too much for her with over-excited child to take along too and then get home and into bed.

Essbee, glad to see ds a bit better; have been off MN a bit recently but have been thinking of you both. Hope he's still doing well.

fennel · 22/11/2006 08:53

So, as far as I can tell we have, from people who've posted in the last week or so that they're definitely still keen to come

Those who can make Friday 1 Dec :
Essbee (though perhaps a bit late and already merry after school fair)
fennel
Pageturner (???)
Greensleeves (I think she can)
Cassoulet
Lesleyworm
Chubbleigh (is that right that you can make that date?)

And those who can make Sat 2 Dec
Essbee
fennel
Pageturner
Greensleeves
Ilovedolly (but how definite are you on the childcare front?)

That looks as though Friday is better but can we have votes from Pageturner and Ilovedolly and Chubbleigh?

fennel · 23/11/2006 11:06

bump

???

Am going to book for the Friday unless people post who can't make the Friday but would come on the Saturday.

Jimjams2 · 23/11/2006 11:14

oh I went to the playzone recently. It looks quite good, was relived to see ds1's slide is still there (or all hell would have broken loose next time we took him). Would be up for a Tuesday morning sometime (ds3 is just under 2).

pageturner · 23/11/2006 14:21

Sorry, fennel, forgot to keep an eye on this one. Yes, I think I can do the Friday. Would have to double-check with dh who is away for a couple of days, but I don't think it would be a problem, well except that dh would have to be the one getting up on Saturday am to take ds1 to football...

fennel · 23/11/2006 14:34

that's great Pageturner, Friday it is then. shall I just book ASK or Mad Megs for 7 people say at 8pm on the Friday 1st Dec?

And maybe arrange to meet in a pub or bar nearby from 7 onwards for people who can make it a bit earlier.

unless someone else would like to do any organising? (hopeful emoticon. i hate organising things and then when something goes wrong getting the blame for it).

Sorry Ilovedolly would love to meet you another time soon, just going on numbers here.

pageturner · 23/11/2006 14:41

By the way, I saw Essbee's ds this morning too. He's just doing mornings at school atm and while I gather he isn't being very co-operative with schoolwork, he is looking a lot better and brighter than the last time I saw him (two weeks ago). He's definitely on the up, but it's a slow recovery. He has terrible tummy pains most nights, but with luck that'll be one of the symptoms that will subside very soon.

pageturner · 23/11/2006 14:42

Doh! Wrong thred. That'll teach me to keep two MN windows open...

pageturner · 23/11/2006 14:43

I'd say Ask, table for 8pm. Will try and meet up in a bary= earlier too. Will come by yours first, fennel, if that's OK, to leave my car?

fennel · 23/11/2006 14:53

pageturner, that would be fine.

it's always good to hear how Essbee's ds is getting on, whichever the thread

Greensleeves · 23/11/2006 15:05

I'm definitely coming whichever night it is

And shall we meet up for a drink beforehand too?

Greensleeves · 23/11/2006 15:06

Arse, am now late for GP, must run... I have no preference as to which night it is, anyhoo

fennel · 23/11/2006 15:49

thanks Greensleeves

Definitely FRIDAY 1st Dec. 8pm. will try and book ASK. and then we can think of a place for a drink beforehand.

joelallie · 23/11/2006 17:15

Ooooh ....

Sorry - bit of a hijack but some of us more northerly mners are meeting up on 1st Dec.....at 8pm......at Ask...But not in Exeter.

Weird or what!

Greensleeves · 23/11/2006 17:32

Yes, but ours is going to be much better than yours.

joelallie · 23/11/2006 17:34

It's definitely going to be bigger.... last count there's going to be 4 of us!!!

lesleyworm · 23/11/2006 21:58

I am delighted that it will be the Friday.
Happy to meet for a drink beforehand, actually think it would be rude not to...

chubbleigh · 23/11/2006 23:50

It looks like I can come now that date has changed to Friday. What exactly is the plan?

fennel · 24/11/2006 09:21

Chubbleigh, the plan is for me to book ASK for 8pm on Fri 1 Dec and then for people who want to meet for a drink beforehand, Pageturner suggests the White Hart in South Street at about 7.20pm.

will try and book the restaurant today.

fennel · 24/11/2006 13:50

Restaurant booked. 8.30pm at ASK. so shall we make it 7.30pm onwards in the White Hart on South St?

lesleyworm · 24/11/2006 18:28

Sounds like a plan to me. BTW nice to meet you, your sister and your tots today Fennel. See everyone who is going next Friday.

chubbleigh · 26/11/2006 20:42

Sounds good to me, will the that troublemaker Morningpaper be joining us, does she start fights in pubs???

I'm kinda excited, I have never been on a blind date before.

iwouldloveadollypleaseSanta · 27/11/2006 21:09

sorry i didn't post i have been a bit lax eh? i REALLLY wanted to come but can't make the friday, but youknew that anyway right? Have a fabulous time peeps and hopefully will meet in the New Year?

lesleyworm · 29/11/2006 18:34

I think I will be bringing one other mum with me on Friday, though will confirm

fennel · 30/11/2006 10:14

sorry about that ilovedolly we'll have to arrange something else soon.

Lesleyworm it was nice to meet you and dd too.

would love troublemaking Morningpaper to come (we could try and entice her with promises of controversial subject matter) but I guess she's not going to, have no idea where she lives.
