I'll be there

joelallie · 11/10/2006 11:47

Love to but too far for a night out for me

pageturner · 13/10/2006 12:41

And me!

(Bump for Greensleeves!)

JessaJackOLantern · 13/10/2006 12:46

I'm toying with the idea. Have sneaky feeling DH may already be out that night though .

Cassoulet · 13/10/2006 12:47

Can I come? Though I think dh may be out that night, so might be difficult (he gets priority).

pageturner · 13/10/2006 12:51

OK:

  1. Essbee
  2. Fennel
  3. Pageturner
  4. JessaJackOLantern (let's hope you can make it - let us know)
  5. Cassoulet (course you can come: more the merrier. Where do you live?)
Cassoulet · 13/10/2006 13:35

Thanks - will try to get dh to cancel (no chance! but I think there's just enough time to arrange b-sitter!).

I live in Honiton. Moved here relatively recently.

fennel · 13/10/2006 20:49

Jessajacklantern did we meet in Plymouth that time (were you Jessajam then and subsequently Ipodthereforeipoor)? or is she someone else?

Joelallie where would you have been coming from that's too far?

hi Cassoulet most of us are new to the area I think.

Jimjams2 · 14/10/2006 13:24

Baysmum · 15/10/2006 19:40

Ah ha! Just found this thread about meeting up. Am brand new to Exeter (I saw some of your names on "Is anyone from Exeter" thread). Would have loved to come (if this was ok with people) but am away that weekend. If you are meeting up again, would love to know.
Lesleyworm xx

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/11/2006 09:29

Just popping in for a wistful 'wish I could be there' post. Went to Uni in Exeter many moons ago, and went back there for my hen do 6 years ago. If Mad Megs is still there then that was always great for a night out (as adults, not just students!). Thought I'd mention as a lot of you seem to be new to the area.

lesleyworm · 12/11/2006 15:39

I am really gutted that I can't be there, especially since it will be just adults - what luxury!! Please arrange another one in the new year, so that I can misbehave with you all too.

fennel · 13/11/2006 10:06

Consultation with some of those going has come up with going to
Ask in the Cathedral close in the city centre.

Haven't heard of Mad Megs. Where is it?

Can people confirm whether they are likely to come and one of us can book a table?

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/11/2006 14:31

Mad Megs is Fore St - they appear to have their own website but it's 2 years out of date, so not sure what that means . Doesn't matter though if you've found somewhere suitable. Have fun .

fennel · 14/11/2006 08:55

Mad Megs looks fun, if it's still there.

I don't mind which, people who are coming can say which they prefer and we can try and book.

Jimjams2 · 14/11/2006 09:06

MadMegs ah that brings back memories (from 6th form!)

I won't be able to make it , bit too far for an evening by the time I've got the kids down..... Will try and make next daytime one or something.

fennel · 15/11/2006 13:55

Bumping to get people confirming or not.

Have discovered where Mad Megs is, above the Bike Shed apparently in a building being requisitioned for flats.

sorry it's too far Jimjams we'll have to arrange something else in the new year.
