I would happily offer to let people sleep over at my house if they had trouble getting home. but that might not seem appropriate to stay with a total stranger, I don't know.

still, if anyone wants a place to stay, they'd be welcome.

Basically I am very keen to come but have to get dh to agree to look after the baby on his own(this is not as lame as it sounds - he has been away for 6 months and is a little nervous about it!!)

I just wondered, might it be worth considering changing the date, say to the day before, Friday 2st Dec, would that mean that any more people would be able to come? (without losing any of those already definite?

Went to Bike shed today but didn't notice Mad Megs above it. Am not totally convinced it's still there. maybe better stick to Ask as we know it does exist.

I could make the Friday in theory, I will just have to work through the hangover that I get from going to my next Christmas party the day after(poor me). Or I could just behave myself, but where's the fun in that? Oh and I can't make Sat 9th either.
Poor you Fennel having to organise all of us, what a palaver.

We would need to see if Essbee, Greensleeves and Pageturner were free on the friday, but it sounds as though it would just be replacing Ilovedolly with Lesleyworm if we moved it.

having never met either it would be a hard choice.

(must admit to a slight vested interest in having it on the Friday instead if possible)

but I guess it'll be simpler to keep it when it is and maybe arrange another in January.

I would love to come but 2nd is the night of my dads' 65th birthday party so am really gutted not to be able to make it. If you change the night or arrange something else I will try really hard to make it.

Fennel - I think you get to mad megs from the front of the building - opposite the Walkabout pub - or if thats where you've been looking its in the ally way behind - opposite the nightclub near St.Olaves court hotel(Mary Arches car Park).

Suppose its all academic now if you are going to ASK!

So if we did change it to Friday 1st then Cassoulet, Lesleyworm and Chubbleigh would be able to make it (is that right?), Essbee would be able to make it a bit late (am sure you'll be bored of school fair by that time )

(and I would be able to go to my whole-cow-roast-with-vegans which is also on the Sat night, but that's probably another thread....)

and not sure about Greensleeves and Pageturner.

it's a headache. Lesleyworm am happy for another meetup in the new year but can't even get this one sorted at the moment
