Happy New Year to everyone!

Hope you all had a lovely christmas - sounds like yours was pretty hectic henrybaba!

We went and stayed at the in laws for a couple of nights - could not believe how much baby stuff we had to cart around!!!!

henrybaba · 07/01/2007 20:53

Happy New Year to you too!
Just back from Cyprus - had a lovely week staying with DH's parents and doing absolutely nothing - bliss!!
Have just posted a msg in Weaning topic as I am trying to get Henry bottle feeding and he just won't do it. Has anyone had similar experience? Not sure what to try next. Asked the HV and got no advice at all...
Hope the house move went well, Mumtwogirls...!
How is the job hunting going, Taylormama?

KaybeeandZak · 08/01/2007 11:29

Hi nice to have you back
Can't really offer any advice on the bottle problem, though I have had friends who have had similar problems. Have you tried different shaped bottles/teats etc?

mumtwogirls · 15/01/2007 11:36

Hi girls, finally back on-line and so a belated Happy New Year! We finally moved on 22nd December but it was a long hard slog as we had no hot water no telly and no internet!! Anyway all is well and christmas and new year itself was actually quite pleasant.

Henrybaba, I had nightmare time with bottlefeeding DD1. Go with different teats or just try sippy cup if you can. DD1 was six months before she finally took the damn thing. Are you expressing or trying formula? If formula it may be worthwile trying out a couple to see which he might like. We went for Cow & Gate! (don't go for the step up ones though)

Will contact you all soon for a possible meet up. Remind me what days are good?

henrybaba · 16/01/2007 18:36

Hi there - welcome back to civilisation! Meeting up would be good but I am going away for 10 days from next Monday so won't be around for a while. Generally though days that are good for me are Monday morning, Tuesday afternoon, Thursday or Friday.
Hope you are enjoyig the freedom of being in your own house!

KaybeeandZak · 25/01/2007 13:14

I'm keen to meet up too, maybe we can all get together when henrybaba is back?

henrybaba · 01/02/2007 14:04

Hi there, we are back!
Got your email mumtwogirls - next Thursday would be fine for me. Would be nice to see you.
Hey Kaybee I bet Zak has changed loads since we last saw him... Still crying lots???
Henry is doing really well and we have just started introducing some solids which is fun - and very messy.
Taylormama, are you still on this thread?
Look forward to seeing you soon x

KaybeeandZak · 02/02/2007 19:00

Hi henrybaba
Zak has changed heaps since you last saw him, he's 9 weeks now! His crying has improved, still a bit of a grump but we have him in a bit of a routine now so he's getting more sleep (which is good for us all!)

I can't make thursday mornings as I meet with the girls from my antenatal class, but would love to catch up with any of you some other time

Welcome to the thread Sarah - all Loughtonians past, present and future welcome!
You must have your hands full, especially with 22 months and 7 months! We just have 1 at present and he has just turned 5 months.
If you are interested in meeting up then just let us know when you are going to be in Loughton - I seem to find a reason to wander down the High Road most days...! x

Sarah, CAT is contact another talker! It's easy to set up if you go into your profile and set it up. Its a fiver for one year but it's just a safer way to contact you.

sarahkent85 · 06/02/2007 18:14

oooh that seems better!! cant trust the net too much!

henrybaba · 08/02/2007 13:09

Welcome Blummy!
I go to the Wed group at Rectory Lane (DS now 5.5 months so we won't be going for much longer) and it has been a great way to meet people. It's really friendly and everyone is up for meeting for coffees mid week and having a good natter.

Next Wednesday we are doing Baby Massage so if you are coming bring something to lie the baby on and some olive oil... It will start at 11am until 12.30.

There is loads of other stuff going on and you can get most info from the info boards at the Rectory Lane clinic...or I can give you some..

How old is your baby??

KaybeeandZak · 16/02/2007 17:03

hi blummy!

how are things henrybaba? Zak is almost three months old now, I can't believe it! Would be nice to meet up, maybe starbucks in loughton one day soon???

henrybaba · 17/02/2007 18:52

Hi there - Starbucks would be good. This week I can do Tuesday at 11.30ish or Wednesday 1.30ish or any time Thursday. Do any of those suit? Would be great to see you and Zak...and any others MNs that want to join us!

KaybeeandZak · 19/02/2007 09:44

Wednesday at 1.30 sounds good to me - see you in starbucks then

mumtwogirls · 19/02/2007 13:17

Hi guys, sorry been away from the here just lately. We had half term last week and I've just been preoccupied with things. I will arrange something soon but hopefully I can meet up with you at Starbucks this week, although it's difficult with DD2 as she's very mobile as you already know. I was going to suggest maybe next week we could meet at Kids Korner? Let me know what you think?

sarahkent85 · 19/02/2007 15:03

hey all, sorry to but in but if you all meet up at kids korner i could come along to that if im welcome?
i understand if no? lol
