I am going to be moving to Loughton in Essex in the next few weeks with new baby (born 25 August) and hubby. Looking for other mums to meet up with or advice on mother and baby clubs etc to go to.. Anyone interested??

Sorry for the delayed reply- only just seen this. I live in South Woodford which isn't far away from Loughton. I'm pregnant at the moment with my first, so I'm afraid I'm not much help with clubs and things to go to, but it would be lovely to meet up with other mums and mums to be in the area.

Do you have a date for the move yet?

Hello,
I'm not in Loughton or South Woodford but know them both fairly well as we have family living in both places!
I'm only up the road in Chadwell Heath though and have a 15 month old Ds and another baby due in April,if anyone fancies chatting or meeting up.Best of luck with the move!

Chrysalsmum-When are you due?

Chrysalsmum · 13/10/2006 14:03

Sorry for the delay, I've been away with work. So pleased it's Friday.

I'm having a little boy, the due date is the 4th Feb. Seemed to drag for ages, and now it is flying by.

bubbaOOOOOOO · 13/10/2006 20:13

It'll be here before you know it.

Little boys are lovely...I've got one,and we should hopefully find out the sex of this one at the next scan.

Chrysalsmum · 16/10/2006 11:43

It seems to be absolutely flying by now, at the beginning it seemed to go so slowly, we had a high nuchal reading at the first scan and decided not to have CVS or amnio, but had 2 extra scans at 13 weeks and 16 weeks, so I think all that seemed to make it drag, but now I can't beleive how quickly it is going.

I'm really looking forward to having him and seeing him, but I'm also quite enjoying this time as well and don't want it to rush by too much, sure I won't be waying that in a couple of months time though when I am uncomfortable and fed up.

Boys are really sweet, didn't mind at all one way or the other whether it was a boy or a girl, but looking forward to having a little ds.

When is your next scan? Did you have your first at King Georges? If so was it OK? That is where I am having my ds.

(Sorry about the long post, got a bit carried away).

bubbaOOOOOOO · 16/10/2006 12:00

I won't be having my scan til 7th Dec,so still have a little way to go,to find out the sex.
I had Ds at Harold Wood and I'm having this one at the new Oldchurch hospital, when it opens, although I do live only 2 mins from King Georges.
I do kow lots of people who have had babies there and they have been,so I'm sure you will too!

Yes, I would be happy to all meet up too. I work full time, but would be more than happy to meet up at the weekend.

bubbaOOOOOOO · 17/10/2006 16:12

Best of luck with the move-not long to go now.

Would be great to meet up.I'm a full time mum and also drive,so not a problem.

framan · 18/10/2006 17:21

Hi, I'm kind of new to this forum but I live in Loughton. Whereabouts are you moving to and I can give you some advice on various playgroups etc. Good luck with your move. I'm hoping to move too but having a bad luck with our seller. Still staying in the Loughton area.

bubbaOOOOOOO · 19/10/2006 17:45

bump.

taylormama · 19/10/2006 18:49

i am a loughton mum and would love to meet up - if that isn't intruding. I go to a lovely mum and baby group on a Wednesday morning which is very friendly (and in Loughton) - they have tonnes of info on other activities like buggy power walks etc. I have a son - 20 week old and am going back to work on 1 December but am enjoying the last bit of my mat leave.

vicwilliamson · 20/10/2006 14:28

Great to know there are other Loughtonians out there! Moving to Algers Road and can't wait!
Would love to know about baby groups, power walks etc...so will be in touch again once we are there. Maybe we cold all get together at Starbucks or something..?

taylormama · 20/10/2006 16:32

framan · 20/10/2006 19:38

Ooh Starbucks, great idea. Lucky you moving to Algers Road. Very close to the High Road! Hoping to move to not far from you. Just won't say where yet as it is still touch and go. But I am living that side of Loughton and the High Road is walking distance for me. I have CAT so contact me anytime.

framan · 01/11/2006 17:24

VicWilliamson. How did your move go? Are you settled in Loughton now?

Kaybee7777 · 01/11/2006 18:23

Hi VicWilliamson. I live in South Woodford, so not far from Loughton.
My first baby is due in two weeks, so would be keen to meet up, and hear about any mother/baby clubs to go to...
Hope to hear from you

framan · 03/11/2006 09:12

Good luck Kaybee7777. Hope all goes well. Are you having the baby at Whipps Cross?

Kaybee7777 · 03/11/2006 09:33

Hi framan. Not having baby at Whipps Cross, we chose King George (for some unknown reason!!)
