I am going to be moving to Loughton in Essex in the next few weeks with new baby (born 25 August) and hubby. Looking for other mums to meet up with or advice on mother and baby clubs etc to go to.. Anyone interested??

Kaybee - forgive me butting in but as a fellow loughton mum ... i was desperate for DS to come out so lots of spicy food, pineapple, endless walking and raspberry leaf tea seemed to do the trick ... good luck. are you having the baby at Harlow or Whipps?

Kaybee7777 · 26/11/2006 20:09

I am having baby at King George, though now I wish I was going to Whipps... long story but wanted to use birthing pool and only found out on fri that KG dont use theirs

I have tried all of those things to bring on labour for the last week or so , and he's just not shifting!!!

Am booked in for induction this wed, so will have some news for you all by the end of this week at the latest

taylormama · 27/11/2006 13:03

Hi All, just been a bit busy and all suffering from coughs and colds! Any news on Kaybee yet? How was the Wednesday meet up at Rectory Lane? I remember going there and met some great mums there. I'm going to the mother & toddler playgroup on Tuesday Henrybaba if you want to come along? Anyone else want to come along?

Kaybee7777 · 03/12/2006 22:55

Zak Christopher Neilson finally arrived into the world kicking and screaming on Thursday 30th November at 19:39pm, weighing in at a healthy 8lb 13oz!!! Birth was not the best, am trying not to think about it too much. Only got home from hospital this afternoon....

Looking foward to getting settled into mummyhood and being able to meet up with you guys again sometime soon

mumtwogirls · 04/12/2006 09:58

Aw welcome Zak. Poor mummy, hope the birth experience is put behind her and you give your mummy lots of joy and love.

Well done Kaybee. Hope all is well. Looking forward to meeting the little fella.

BTW I've changed my name too as I thought framan was a bit odd on mumsnet! It was an amalgamation of DH & my name!

henrybaba · 04/12/2006 12:05

Congratulations!! And welcome to the world, Zak. What a great name
Look forward to seeing you when you are up to it xx

taylormama · 06/12/2006 19:39

kaybee - many congrats! sorry to hear you had a tough time (((hugs)) - hopefully you are all doing ok now.
henrybaba - hope you had a good journey to Manchester ...hopefully we can meet up soon - it is the done thing for loughton babies!
framan - looking forward to meeting you.

KaybeeandZak · 08/12/2006 17:48

thanks taylormama, we are okay, though lo doesn't seem to have the easiest of temperaments... I am terrified I am going to be stuck at home forever as am too embarrassed to go out coz he screams so much and won't be calmed by anything.....

henrybaba · 10/12/2006 15:44

Aww - poor thing. Sounds like he wasn't too keen to come out into the world so I expect it will take him a while to get used to the idea of being here! If you don't fancy taking Zak anywhere then I am more than happy to host a coffee morning and he can scream as much as he likes here...
Kaybee, Taylormama, mumtwogirls and any others - let me know if any of you fancy coming over to mine sometime pre-Christmas for coffee and mince pies!

taylormama · 10/12/2006 15:49

kaybee - oh dear try swaddling your LO - instantly soothing. My DS was a bit of a squawker - 30 seconds after being swaddled he would be like a different baby. If you want I have a DVD you could borrow which is brill and shows 5 steps to calm a baby - honestly you can have for as long as you need
Henrymama - would love to join you for coffee etc seeing as i am at home at the mo' waiting to be made redundant!
xxxx

taylormama · 10/12/2006 15:50

henrybaba - not mama! sorry - hope you had a great time in Manchester ...

KaybeeandZak · 11/12/2006 19:11

Thanks henrybaba, would love to come round to your place sometime
taylormama - i have tried swaddling, he hates it and it seems to make him more upset! But I would love to borrow your dvd as anythign is worth a shot.

Spoke to my GP this afternoon & he said it sounds wind related, but i need to make a seperate appointment for zak, and i can't do that until i have the red boook from the health visitor (who i havent even seen yet)

henrybaba · 11/12/2006 19:36

Kaybee and Taylormama - are you on CAT and then we can arrange a date for coffee and I can give you details of where I live..? I am not on CAT yet but anm about to set it up...

KaybeeandZak · 11/12/2006 22:11
