Would love to but I'm not in your neck of the woods yet (hopefully in about 6 weeks) so I am a NO for this one but will def. get to some in the future.

MrsBigD · 09/09/2006 23:18

o.k. we still need a venue

Thai and Wagamamma's have been mentioned

Tony Roma has been veto'd by the 'veggies' for being a carnivorous place

restaurant list

OP posts:
Uwila · 09/09/2006 23:45

Thai sounds good -- so long as it's in Kingston.

MrsBigD · 10/09/2006 08:06

according to the list the following is a Thai

Ayudhya
14 Kingston Hill Tel: 020 8549 5984: Established for over 20 years the Ayudhya offers superb Thai cuisine set in original Thai style. They also have vegetarian and vegan options. They also serve child portions which is a great plus.

the other one listed is in Teddington or Surbiton!

Surely there must be more Thais in KINGston? I'll keep looking ...

fatfox · 10/09/2006 10:10

Hi - I can give people lifts to and from places before and after if that helps. Have plenty of seats (up to 6 passengers) and can't drink anyway.

If people want to meet me at a station/65 bus stops, I can drive up to Kingston Hill

I'll be travelling from Kew to Kingston, via Richmond and Ham. Dito I can drive people to Kingson/Richmond/Kew stations afterwards ot bus stops.

Uwila · 11/09/2006 09:09

Cool. I'm in. Don't supppose you have time to round up a post code for me, MrsBigD???

MrsBigD · 11/09/2006 10:03

14, Kingston Hill, Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey KT2 7NH

and here it is

OP posts:
xoxoxo · 11/09/2006 13:06

fatfox: if you are driving anyway..... could you collect/ drop me off at richmond bridge on your way from ham to richmond?

if not, don't worry, will just abstain which will help my diet!!

MrsBigD · 11/09/2006 13:15

I think I'll be bussing from Ealing Broadway. Does anybody want to meet up for on the way?

OP posts:
fatfox · 11/09/2006 16:57

Oxo - yes, no probs.
MrsBigD - How close does the bus get you to he venue?

Foxy Cars Ltd

MrsBigD · 11/09/2006 17:56

I think the bus actually goes down the road the restaurant is on. I'll check and 'I'll be back'

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 11/09/2006 19:18

I'm an AYE!

Update for Bus connections:

Variation 1: Bus 65 to Kingston Brook Street and walk for 20 mins

Variation 2:
Bus 65 to Cromwell Road Busstation (that's the big one in Kingston)
Stop A2 Take the Bus 57 towards New Park Road / Atkins Road
or Bus 85 from Stop: A1
towards Putney Bridge Station
or Bus 213 from Stop: A1
towards Sutton Bus Garage/Bushey Road
HIGH STREET (COLLIERS WOOD): DELAYS: Until 1600 Tuesday 12 September, Routes 57 152 200 219 and N155 are subject to possible delays due to water works.
Get off Park Road / Kingston Hill
Walk to KT2 7NH about 5 mins

Variation 3:
Bus 65 to Cromwell Road Bus Station Stop: A1
Take the Bus 371 towards Richmond / Lower Mortlake Rd
Get off Audric Close and walk for 6 mins

I'll probably get off at the stop near the station and cut across Canbury Park Road, in the hope it's not too grotty

upper 3 quadrants in this map . Get dreadfully frazzled when I have to try and find connecting stops/buses

OP posts:
fatfox · 12/09/2006 09:00

Mrs Big D - why don't I pick you up from one of the 65 stops on Kew Road and take you down to Kingston? Ditto on the way back - it'll be much easier for you.

Table booked for 8 people 19:30 onwards under 'mumsnet'.

Checked with the guy I spoke to and he said there's parking around there with not too many issues.

Fatfox, might take you up on that offer if there's still a seat going Was thinking about taking my car but tires are very low on air and have no time to go anywhere to have them pumped up. Tried myself at a Tesco Station but can't get to grips with those air thingies. They don't seem to do much bar maybe deflate the tires! LOL Me + cars... erhem it's got 4 wheels and gets me from A to B...

OP posts:
Nanou1 · 12/09/2006 10:43

am useful with cars too! especially parking.... thats why i never drive anywhere; can't bear the embarrassment...
