I could charge admission

Uwila · 09/08/2006 15:01

ok, if you are charging admission, then you should supply the booze too.

suejonez · 09/08/2006 15:24

no problem Uwila, , I have a bottle of ginger wine I've been trying to get rid of for ages.

Uwila · 09/08/2006 15:30

no no no, booze of our choosing, not yours.

suejonez · 09/08/2006 15:31

oh

Nanou1 · 09/08/2006 15:44

like ... Gin.... ROFL

Uwila · 09/08/2006 15:53

Brown or white, Nanou? You have to specify sometimes!

MrsBigD · 09/08/2006 17:13

I see if I can find some brown gin at the airport at the weekend

OP posts:
Uwila · 09/08/2006 19:41

Oh is this your weekend in.... Berlin is it?

SimonBolivarCusack · 09/08/2006 19:44

sue am just catching up on things. Poor you with your face and the dentist. Grim. HOpe it starts going down soon. I've had some disgusting face swelling incidents in my time from insect bites/other allergies and it is not nice.

look, I'm probably going to have to improvise wildly with my veggie chilli on the night - has just struck me that all my kitchen stuff will be packed up and merrily on it's way to sit on a ship for god knows how long. I will think of something....

Uwila · 09/08/2006 19:57

Oi! Why is Sue getting all the sympathy? I'm having a bloomin root canal tomorrow. Where is my sympathy?

SaintGeorge · 09/08/2006 20:14

MASSIVE HIJACK

London mob - please can you get over to Demo cancelled thread and see if we can get enough bodies together to keep this going ahead.

So many of us too far away to help so we are relying on you.

Pretty please

Thank you.

SimonBolivarCusack · 09/08/2006 20:15

sympathy for you too Uwila
post feeling miserable after it and I'll promise you bags of soothing words
of course none of this is helping me get round to going to the dentist myself, after my last visit in around 2000

suejonez · 09/08/2006 21:36

don;t worry about hte chli - I'm sure I can rustle up something non-meat based without too much extra faffing!

And I need more sympthy than Uwilla becuase not only do I have a face like elephant man and need root canal work but may also need to have my wisdom tooth removed in order for them to do the work. WOn;t know until next week.

suejonez · 09/08/2006 21:37

Sorry SaintGeorge, I have already posted on the main board that I can;t get out of work tomorrow. I already have time off for a dentist appt tomorrow and can;t tkae any more. I could roll out with a bit more notice.

Uwila · 09/08/2006 21:56

Already had my wisdon teeth exctracted. To be honest, the worst of it was the sound of ripping them out.

My grandad had his extracted many many years ago, and another one grew in. How's that for bad luck. He just have an extra one waiting to grow in, and it did when the other one was pulled. My mum has this too (but still has her wisdom teeth so it hasn't had the opportunity to desend).

suejonez · 09/08/2006 22:43

I had one removed a couple of months ago and i agree thecrucnhing sound as tehy cut through the ligaments is pretty grim. This one may be a hospital job as it very close to a nerve and my dentist won't touch it. My other bottom one is growing backwards into the jawbaone and will need to be excavateed out of the bone if it ever needs removing [gulp]

MrsBigD · 10/08/2006 06:40

ah the 'joy' of wisdom teeth ... I had mine removed as a teenager and SJ don't worry the excavation isn't all that bad. Take a walkman or ipod with you to plug yourself in so you don't hear the various noises. Mine were growing horizontally and had to be first smashed up and then levered out. Had the dental nurse support my jaw so the surgeon wouldn't dislocate it for one of the teeth. He worked real quick. Downside... I looked like I'd gone 10 r0unds with a heavyweight . The other 2 were removed by an 'ordinary' dentist who took ages to extract but therefore I didn't look too bruised after . Have to admit though that for the first lot I was on Valorn for about 4 days after. Unfortunately no longer available over the counter as morphine based

All the best for the root canals today

please bear in mind you may not be able to post freely here in future

SnowBoo · 10/08/2006 08:09

Basically where i had ds1 they gave me an episiotomy and the scar has split from having ds2. She didn't sew me up enough and it just popped right open. Painful and sore. Fed up now. Can't do a flipping thing.

Uwila · 10/08/2006 09:23

Oh, ouch. Sorry Snowboo.

MrsBigD, whe are you supposed to fly?

quokka · 10/08/2006 09:47

Feel for you all (especially you snowboo) but I'm going to have a moan as well ! The pain is unbearable, anybody here had to deal with Carpal tunnel? Have been up all night unable to sleep, just as well ds1 is at nursery this morning

quokka · 10/08/2006 10:40

Ok I'm going to retract my moan, because I've killed the thread and have just heard about yorkiegirls dh so I have nothing to moan about!

suejonez · 10/08/2006 11:35

Very sad isn;t it. It seems so hard being in another country at a time like that.

quokka · 10/08/2006 11:39

I called my dh as soon as I read it and told him how much I love him. I can't imagine my life without him. Its so nice to see the support shes getting through mn, this is what its all about - not the unmentionable!
